I'd say mothers are biologically wired to love (protect) their children. It's the only kind of love they seem capable of. We are drifting away from that though.

"Sati" used to be thing in India, where widows would immolate themselves on their husband funeral pyre. They might have not done this entirely willingly, it does not change the fact that it happened. As for "jauhar", similar in certain ways to "sati", women committed mass-suicide to prevent being spoils of war. Not just the select few rich but en-masse. I can't stress that enough. That is certainly an honorable thing to do, albeit a bit stupid.

It's just hilarious to me. Someone will post how men built the western civilization and then all the rest of the men will get a self-esteem boost from it even though all they do is watch porn, play games and never develop any useful hobbies or interests of their own.
