I agree that its good advice, but the advice of telling someone your interests helps you filter for a better connection with someone, its doesn’t necessarily help create one. Telling someone your interests unless aligned will likely not move the needle in any way. Its advice that wont help someone attract women, rather it helps someone filter the women attracted to him so he can enter a relationship with a better interpersonal connection. Just saying what you’re interested in wont make a woman f…

So see, here is where I think we have a misunderstanding. You are talking to/about people whose lives are in such disarray they don’t even know who they are as individuals. Im talking about men. If someone’s life is in such disarray that they don’t even know themselves then trivially the next step would be to resolve that, before trying to get into a relationship. Also Everyone has interests, if you don’t you are either depressed or apathetic, and chances are if you resolve those problems your i…

I know, thats not the point. What I’m saying (and you basically confirmed by saying “that don’t usually attract women”) is the advice you gave doesn’t actually help someone attract women since the interest (again as you pointed out yourself) doesn’t always help (some cases may be neutral like for you and your partners interest in tabletop baseball, or even negative for ex. Not everyone wants to date a person with an interest in taxidermy or raising chicken just to give two examples that aren’t b…

I dont listen to podcasts. To respond to what you just said though, yeah id assume everyone you know has a social circle (that you’re a part of lmao), its a little pointless to point something like that out.

None of those things actually help someones success in getting a relationship, its advice given since the other side assumes as long as you have all your shit in order you shouldn’t be struggling finding a partner. The reality is that a man can have friends, hobbies and interests yet still struggle due to a myriad of factors some of which may be out of his control (niche intrests/hobbies with few women, deformities/birth marks, personal habits/traits that dont make you a bad person but can make …

I think the op was referring to consumer economics, rather than economics as a whole which technically encapsulates more than even just capitalism.

Id say that the ability to consider someone “overly political” can only occur in a environment where the consequences of political outcomes are somewhat insulated so regardless of what happens the argument over politics will cause more damage to the people involved than the outcome of whatever political topic they are talking about. It may not be that these individuals are overly political but instead that they are likely more directly affected by the outcome of said political discussion (have m…

You have the right to have such a preference, I have the right to think its weird or inconsistent, also you should also not care about what others think since someones opinion on what’s right or wrong shouldn’t and cant affect you until someone writes it into law.

I see your point that you have more of a stake when you own a home, since if the community hoes downhill its harder to move out or leave, whereas a renter can easily leave and not work towards building a better community, but people move even after buying homes, for reason typically akin to a better house being available, more area to house more people, maybe moving back to a hometown, work, etc. so while owning a home makes it harder to leave a community it does not stop people from doing so an…

A house has no value unless its a home, material objects mean nothing unless they are put towards a greater purpose, owning a home simply makes it easier to have a family or even just to lead a more relaxed life, your goal in life is not owning a home and if it is, thats quite sad.

Should add the main example of “purpose” I had in mind was children, you dont own them but they give you a hell of a lot of motivation to work, similarly a vision of what kind of person you want to be or an overarching purpose (ex. Someone whose passion is literature will get motivation to write a book to spread his message to the world)

I disagree, I think that all a man really needs is purpose, something to live/die for. Heres a similar quote that I also agree with: “I think a man only needs one thing in life. He just needs someone to love. If you can’t give him that, then give him something to hope for. And if you can’t give him that, just give him something to do.” -Flight of the Phoenix

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
