I was raised to treat women specifically with great respect by my mom, be polite, hold open doors, come to their aid if god forbid they’re in trouble, etc. just by default. Probably learned/taught behavior with a bit of instinct mixed in. Women with this backwards feminism privileged entitlement yelling at you for something you were raised to do.. it’s very sour swallowing that quiet “sorry ma’am”.

Tax/health insurance benefits. Plus that’s a pretty locked-in partner to help each other with virtually any obstacle you may face. I’d say comfortable steady sex with someone you trust as well, but I’ve heard this isn’t necessarily a given in marriage 😂
