This is one of the best photos I’ve seen of This place. Everyone always takes a picture of themselves blocking the view

Alot of people do this shit. Men and women although women more so probably. But that's the way this consumerist society works. Once you make more money and rise in social class you're "supposed" to get those higher status symbols so everyone knows it. And continue to fuckin struggle as much as you did when you made less. Its fucking ridiculous that people buy into this.

Guys said that shit to me too. People are fucking stupid. I'm not going to splurge on some shit to make me feel briefly happier. I'm going to let it sit until I really need it.

Same shit happened to me in a similar way. I had savings and my ex kept telling me that the point of having money is to spend it. How do some people not understand the idea of saving and keeping a savings. Wtf

We suffer because we desire. The shit buddha talked about is closer to modern day psychology than it is to any faith based religion

I saw a documentary on this. He found a tiger that was close to dying from poachers and raised it back to good health.

I'm sorry dude but that's not at all what buddhism is about. Maybe some get lost on the path and lost in subtle dogma of it. But take zen buddhism for example. which is very to the point. It's simply about liberating your self and others from suffering. And using a very clear and reasonable method of doing so. It's an old practice and has its flaws. But the root of it is very useful. as is taoism.

Atheism is a limiting belief. its a belief of negation. What is not real vs what is

I agree. Even if there is some things to criticize about modern day women. It does no good at all to spend so much energy and time hating on them. The idea of mgtow was clearly to focus on self development. and alot of them completely miss that. And god for bid you bring up the idea of talking about other things and not women. Theyll call you names and just defend them selves

I'm saving your comment man thank you. Its words like these that remind me that its possible to go beyond it. Because unfortunately anyone I look to for advice just tells me sexual desire is normal and it's normal to crave women and chase after them. I knew it seemed wrong when I was wasting my entire day on this stupid fuckin pursuit. But I'm going to remember those words. "Working on the project that is my self "

Absolutely. It's this competition we take part in that ruins all happiness or content. Comparison is the their of all joy

I'm trying to make that transition right now. My whole life I was always trying to be good at something so I could be cool in the eyes of a woman. But now I'm learning the value of working on a skill to master it and letting that be a transformational process inwardly. I want to devote my self to self improvement. But sometimes I get depressed when I want sex and realize I have no connection to any women right now. It's hard to override that but takes discipline

It's hard but try not to compare your life to anyone elses. Just compare to your own timeline

Absolutely. I got to this point before. I was doing a yang taiji form 2 times a day and different qi gong. And everytime I lifted my arms I felt this weightlessness.

Interesting. I dont know If they do it to extend life but more so to preserve the vital essence for a vital virtuous life? I have no idea. I guess it is to extend life. The taoists would do all sorts of things to perfect their health

I'd agree with the priests. I've seen studies that showed they had high rates of prostate cancer. I dont know if the same could be said about Buddhist monks because they have more methods of sublimation. Although I heard ththe Dalai Lama had prostate cancer. But something about that man makes me think he indulges in western pleasures

Why do you think I'm avoiding doing the good things for my transmutation of the energy ? I'm still some what looking for validation and seeking sex

From what I have read into my understanding of things is that if you arouse that physical sexual energy it can become stuck. And stagnant. And energy practices like meditation qi gong. Micro cosmic orbit can help raise it an circulate it. I'm still learning to tame that desire though. It's hard to consistently do qi gong these days because my mind is alittle hectic. I definitely would appreciate to have more people to talk to about it to help figure it out and motivate me to keep going

I can usually relate. And prefer being alone most of the time. The only time I start to get sad is if I'm basing too much of my worth off of a sex life. Or lack there of. Sometimes I can just be inspired by the monks path and not care for sex but others times I get stuck in the desire and get really lonely. If anyone has tips on how to manage this itd be appreciated!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
