In that case (let's say it's still a theoretical case and my use of "you" is actually "one"...), I think of the options you laid out the best for you will probably be the third. There are risks later in life of not having a social safety net to take care of you, but presumably if you can go all the way with this option in your go-getter life, you will have things and different types of relationships to compensate. It won't be the same by any means but if your will is that important to you, and y…

I'm really lucky actually that my best friend is RP. I was always a bit red but she was the one that exposed me to the nuances of the philosophy and we have a lot of discussions about particular SO situations and how best to handle them from an RP perspective. Yeah, I've had this experience as well and it's something that reassures me I'm on the right track as First Officer. (At least imho not having immersed myself completely in reading here and other sources... But I digress.) My SO is stubborn in his opinions and actively defends them but if he's frustrated or worried about something to which he instinctively feels unsure about, ONLY trying to guide him through his thinking process about it actually makes him a bit miffed at me. There's a bit of it…
