I think the volunteer for the Boston Marathon that was doing a live update on the aftermath of the bombing on Monday on /r/running had something like 15 months when I saw it. Still though, other than that I don't think I've seen that many before.

First off, thanks for your response. I guess I should clarify, it wasn't anything fancy or romantic, it was just a trip to the aquarium, which we had both discussed before and I thought would be pretty fun. The problem is that aquariums are expensive these days, but since she was so excited by the idea of going with me when I brought it up I didn't want to do something less fun just because of the price. I usually stick to things that are a bit more low-key, but I still prefer something fun like…

I have a question about who should pay for what when first dating a girl. Before I started reading up on this stuff and coming on this site, I was the typical type who would always just pay for everything. I recognize now that that's not necessarily the best strategy, as it makes me look like a bit of a pushover and doesn't incite as much attraction as I thought. Now for my question: I asked a girl to go to somewhere for our first date that was relatively expensive ($30 each), and although we di…

I'm going to Sevilla myself (well hopefully, but it could be anywhere in Andalusia) in the fall to work and I've heard rumors that the women in Spain are a bit of a tease. How has your experience with them been? Obviously you had some success in this story, but from my understanding this girl was a foreigner like yourself.

Those Eastwood pics made me laugh pretty hard. Great article yet again though Nick.

Damn, OP's submission/comment history is atrocious. Kind of gives some context to this post (especially since he didn't provide any details himself).

Just to play devil's advocate, I assume that the reason people get pissed at the book is because porn is generally accepted to be of low quality and only used to satisfy primal urges, while the book has become so mainstream and is so widely regarded and popular. Some people probably view either the author or the fans of the book as proclaiming it to something more than just an escapist fantasy, which is what would make them so upset. Personally I don't really have a side in this, I've never real…

I have a fairly good memory, so I often will remember girls and some details about them even after a long time has passed and they more than likely no longer remember me. What should I do when I come across them again, call them by name or pretend that I forgot? It feels a bit embarrassing when I remember someone's name that was only a casual acquaintance 6 years ago, as if I've been secretly stalking them this whole time or something.

That's interesting, but I can't see myself doing something similar. If I texted this to every girl I was gonna go out with I feel like it would start us off with a bad tone. This would be especially unproductive if she was already in to me, because now she might start to have second thoughts or wonder why I'm coming across as so needy.

So then he just never goes out with anyone?

29.-Grammar is sexy. 23.-You like the girl your texting? ... etc etc.

That's true, but I think the point he might be making was that it's just easier in college. That doesn't make it impossible afterwards, but in college you don't have to put in quite as much effort in finding girls as you probably will later.

As soon as I read that I thought this was all an elaborate joke.

I'm sitting here on my computer thinking that I probably won't go to the gym tonight... but then I read this.

Yeah I figured people would say that. To be honest though I really don't take myself too seriously, so it's not as direct as it may seem. Eh who knows I may still go as Dexter, I got a day to decide.

I'm wondering if this Halloween costume idea I'm planning on using is dumb or not. I saw it on a thread here in Reddit about a week back, probably the same one that other guy mentioned. The idea is to pin a bunch of small toy chicks on me and go as a "chick magnet." I'm doing it more for the joke and the lack of a better idea, but I figure if I can parlay some flirting out of it then why not.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
