Same old insults every day. I love how you mentally jumped to “fat 60 year old” when the thread is about passport bros, a self labeled group that actually trends quite young. If a woman declared that she was “sick of American men” and flew to Barcelona and landed some gorgeous young guy who did well for himself you know that women would be screaming “you go girl!” Sounds like you haven’t been picked. Tick tock.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/24 02:32 AM

The fact that you can only imagine that men might be into foreign women for that reason says a lot.

This. Whenever anyone starts with “according to all men” the following post is 99% sure to be a cope. The subtle logic sandwich is awful. “According to men only youth is important.” followed by “Dating men who only think youth is importance is a waste of time.” So they used a post accusing “all men” of accusing older women of being worthless, in order to try to justify calling older men worthless. This is the literal definition of gaslighting and narcissistic argument reflection. It’s sexist and…

If you consider that rape is far more likely be inflicted by someone you know (decreasing the stranger risk by 76.8%) and that men are generally more likely to have a bear encounter as they are more likely to be in the 28.7m cohort due to their hobbies/interests, the numbers favor men to be the good guys even more.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/24 08:21 PM

His body his choice. End of discussion. There is literally no opinion to have other than “hope you find what you want.” Anyone judging/shaming men for looking for love abroad should also be comfortable with judging/shaming women who go to the Caribbean for spring break to get lucky with the cabana boy.

Look at the question. “What caused you to switch?” Yes, my answer is mostly political, as that was the catalyst for my switch. I do also mention my relationship with my husband in passing as a cause and effect. The question isn’t “what red pill stuff do you do?” The question is “what caused you to become red pilled?” In many people politics is the gateway to the pill.

I have a nice mix of friends. I did lose some of by very liberal friends when I went red, but I’ve got friends all from blue to purple to red. People would likely accuse a lot of my red friends of being “pick mes” but they’re not. They’re just more traditional. I find it so weird how these lines are drawn: Example: Woman says “Girl I ditched my boyfriend and I’m single for the summer! Gonna get some, who’s ready to partyyyyyy!” - This is apparently “empowered, strong, and independent.” Woman say…

I agree, but I get accused of being a pick me for those exact reasons. Heck, I got accused of it just yesterday for saying that I didn’t lose my social life when I switched to red from blue. Conservative woman? Pick me, apparently. 🙄

We celebrate Valentines together and it’s nice. That said, I enjoy watching the game with my husband. Beer tastes good. Taylor Swift sucks. I would rather drink black coffee than pumpkin spice. I think neither side is good to ascribe to without thinking, and it’s exactly as you say, I could not exist on either side within an inflicted dogma, thus immediately disqualifying the blue. Yes, there are crazies on both sides but I find them easy to avoid. And I feel that the true nature argument is a decent generalization, but ascribing to it as indelible fact for 100% of people is take it a step too far. The best way to destroy an ideology is to speak in absolutes.

It depends on her focus. Women are generally more concerned with competing with other women more than they are with putting their partner in a position to have to compete with other men. A woman who challenges the man she’s with to compete with other men for her is doing so in order to compete with the other women around her. Talk to her and watch her actions. Does she put effort into heavily competing with other women, and/or make disparaging comments about other women behind their backs? Run. …

It would be ideal if it was possible to always believe women about such things at face value. At the very least, anyone should be believed on a temporary emergency basis to ensure everyone is safe prior to figuring out the veracity of the claim. Your average guy is a a thousand times more likely to want to help you both get out of there together and ask for you number if you bonded during the experience than be like “lady in the woods, lizard brain says sex time.” It’s perfectly okay for women to have their preferences and choose as they see fit and base their decision on internet memes over actual logic and reality. The 40 year old. He has a better chance of having more survival experience in the wilderness and increases our chances of getting out intact a bit more. Tell that to all of the women out there waving a vibrator in the air while screaming “I don’t need no man.” If technology evolves to the point that it emulates sympathetic emotion well enough and you combine it with effective pleasure delivery I wager it could very well be sufficient for a lot of men. If the solution to male mental health is treating the symptoms of the worst cases instead of the cause for them all, then we should be treating women in an identical fashion. Let’s start with increasing the penalty for women who ruin multiple lives by falsely accusing men of rape to be equivalent to the penalty for rape.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/24 05:42 PM

The long and the short of it is that men are finally starting to allow themselves to be men without guilt. Men wanting sex isn’t disgusting, men wanting male friends and to engage in stereotypically male things isn’t a waste of time, men having feelings isn’t weak, men being shorter isn’t ugly, men starting single and spending the money they earn on themselves isn’t selfish. Anyone should be allowed to protect their safety from a perceived threat. This can be based on sex, values, age, religion, race, etc… it doesn’t matter. They don’t have to “prove they’re legitimized” in avoiding a perceived threat. “Data” not required. I’m not going to walk through Compton alone and that doesn’t make me racist. It makes me smart. And alive.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/24 05:04 PM

I can see where you’re coming from on this, but you’re forgetting one important thing. Far more women complain than men about this particular topic. Yes, there are far more men than women who are willing to lower their standards; however, those who do turn to the internet to complain are in the minority that I stated above. No need to so dramatically call bullshit. This can just be a civil discussion, which would be far more pleasant.

The big difference on the internet is that when an undesirable man comes forward and complains about dating, women and men alike inform him that he needs to improve (which is fine, if constructively delivered, feedback is a good thing); however, when an undesirable woman comes forward and complains about dating, women blindly back her up (which is misplaced feminism and is ultimately damaging to the woman complaining despite looking “nice” in the moment) and men tend to avoid them altogether out…

People just generally hang out with their own. Women do this, men do this. Secret to life: If you want to be powerful, beautiful, rich, or brilliant, find powerful, beautiful, rich, or brilliant people and do what they do. As a side benefit you will likely end up making friends who make similar choices. Your observation isn’t wrong, but it’s not just young beautiful women who do this. Because feminism isn’t about being better. It’s about “but what have you done for me lately?” A man who does all of those things is perfectly fine. Probably even helps his aging parents out, which improves their lives and lessens the burden on society. Consider the fact that a single, celibate man who lives with his parents and has a steady job is very unlikely to be celebrated by feminism, whereas a chronically dating, high body count woman who lives alone and does onlyfans is generally going t…

One would think so, but a multitude of dating profiles suggest otherwise. The wisdom of “Party irresponsibly now, hard life later; have a reasonable amount of fun now, life easy later” is something I think would go a long way to helping people in their life journeys. I know that doesn’t service instant gratification very well, but instant gratification tends to be the opposite of hard work, and success comes far more from working hard than TikTok likes and questionable one night stands.

This is a great way of looking at it. Moderation is almost always the best way to move into things. At the end of the day people can do as they will as long as they’re not hurting other people by doing it. It is important to be realistic about things too. If a man accumulates six figures of debt prior to looking to settle down, he should expect it to be much harder to do so. That’s not how biology works. In the majority of species, older, established males and younger, more likely to birth healthy offspring females are perpetually the most valued. People who date the opposite sex will virtually ALWAYS gravitate to these two (relative to them) subgroups. It’s not societal bias, nor is it negative. It’s nature.

I believe that the origin of this debate comes from a much simpler place. I feel that men generally want accountability in us not always expecting them to pay for everything, not sharing their personal and intimate business with other women without consent, and not assuming that they exist to solve any careless mistakes we make. And for the record I expect that they hold themselves accountable in the same way. Men just tend to do those things already, whereas women are socialized to think not do…
