discrimination based on gender Either you understand that the different sexes have biological differences which can lead to differences in behaviour and health that can impact the actuarial statistics that insurers use, or you don't. If you think there are no biological differences between the sexes, or that they don't influence behaviour, perhaps the MRM is not for you, as that's literally the modern progressive feminist viewpoint. I call it a fantasy because it starts from desired conclusions …

Good lord, am I in SRS right now? I better fuck along back to subreddits that haven't been invaded by social justice warriors, I guess.
/r/MensRights04/05/15 02:39 PM

I'm okay with discrimination by gender when it is backed up by statistics. It's simply a matter of embracing reality rather than living in a progressivist dreamland where everyone is the same. Sure, it's not always going to be a positive for everyone, but I honestly don't give a fuck.
/r/MensRights04/05/15 02:19 PM

Holy fuck, just get bent.
/r/MensRights04/05/15 02:08 PM

And in spite of claiming that you don't suggest that anyone break the law, you keep arguing that car insurers do exactly that. Pretty sure I only said they do where I live I'm afraid you really haven't got much of a clue as to what "scientific" means. I'm afraid you're lobbing ad-hominems because your argument is pathetic There is only one real motive behind it all, and that is to charge you as much as possible while still retaining you as a customer. Nearly verbatim what I said in this thread. …
/r/MensRights04/05/15 05:14 AM

The actuaries are probably in an office somewhere using SAS or whatever, why does that matter? Oh, you meant "where are the actuarial tables", and for that I point you in the general direction of the Internet, which has better ways of getting answers to questions like these than random Reddit replies
/r/MensRights04/05/15 04:17 AM

Sorry, I don't think I suggested anywhere that breaking the law be policy. If it's presently against the law to use empirical data, statistics, and actuarial science to price insurance, I would have to say that I believe the law should be changed to make such a scientific approach legal. Frankly, the best plan of attack is to advocate for strict enforcement for the law, until either insurance companies start going bankrupt or women start screaming about having to pay drastically higher auto insu…
/r/MensRights04/05/15 04:15 AM

Capitalizing DISCRIMINATION doesn't really make your idea stronger. Insurance companies, like any company, have one goal: deliver maximum value to their shareholders. That's it. They do this by offering you various different gambling mechanisms; for each of these, they know exactly how likely it is that they're going to have to pay out, and therefore can calculate how much they need to charge you to make a profit. They'll try to charge you as much as you're willing to pay, moderated only by what…

/r/MensRights03/05/15 07:22 PM

Pretty sure men pay more than women for car insurance where I live, unless I misread your post and you're using some bullshit SJW definition of "gender", which I don't care to entertain.
/r/MensRights03/05/15 07:15 PM

My solution would have the women paying more for health insurance, but for the fact that I live in a civilized nation with proper healthcare and not the United States of Obamacare
/r/MensRights03/05/15 07:14 PM

Insurance rates are calculated by actuaries using extensive data that shows the likelihood of any individual making a claim based on every fact available that they're allowed to use. This excludes race, but does include gender, and the rates of car accidents are indeed higher for men (to the best of my knowledge), mostly because men drive a lot more and this raises their chances - not because they're worse drivers or inherently more accident prone. The latter two conditions are applied to younge…

The US needs some tighter regulation on education. If anything, it's plenty tight enough as is. Question for you: when was the last time two major American universities had a difference of opinion on an ideological or philosophical issue? I don't think it happens at all anymore - every institution is perfectly ideologically arranged with every other in the pursuit of Progressivism, and in the goal of spreading it to all students. The consistency is astounding. For all intents and purposes, Progr…

You're pretty defensive about this. I hope you answered the questions about speaking rudely to your girlfriend honestly . If you knew the first goddamned thing about statistics and survey design you'd know why the same question is asked more than once in different ways.

As long as we are able to answer that we haven't beaten or raped anyone, doesn't it actually stand a chance of presenting the community in a good light? I mean shit, bro, if you've been hitting women or having sex with them forcefully without their consent, we ain't standing with you.

I have a son, and there is no way I would let anyone prescribe him amphetamines unless he was so ADHD that he literally couldn't sit down for a couple of minutes. Seems to me to be, in many cases, a response on the part of lazy parents and teachers who don't want to deal with normal boyish energy.

The constitution is often a vague document, man, that's why there is an entire branch of law - constitutional law - and it has been argued about for aeons. Also, not everyone is an American. I sure ain't, and so my police officers are sworn "to uphold the law", which seems a bit more straightforward than adherence to an ancient document not designed with the same legal rigour as modern laws.

Police officers execute their orders and the law. It is not their place to question it, nor does any right-thinking person want a police force that makes their own decisions about how to enforce the law. If you don't like the law - and I don't - the place to change it is in the courts and in the voting booth. bigoted ideas that Muslim men must be oppressive and women must be innocent, yearning to be free. Oppressive is an interesting word. From the Muslim perspective, a man who commands his wife is not oppressing her; he is doing exactly what his culture tells him is right. His wife obeys, not necessarily out of fear, but out of submission; her role is to do what he commands. This does not make her naive as much as brainwashed, since she has been soaking in this culture since birth and can't intuitiv…

You are there to eat. If this was the only reason for restaurants, we'd all just eat at the mall food court. Good job calling out inflation as the Hidden Tax. Keynesian economics is such bullshit; I'm starting to think it only exists as a discipline to provide a veneer of legitimacy for inflation as a means to extract money from the populace instead of using the dreaded but honest mechanism of taxation.

Most people giving out this advice are unqualified to be saying it. It's not actually false. If you're going to be married, you're going to be a lot happier if your wife is happy too. You two will feed back off of each other, and positivity will engender more positivity. The problem is the means for making the wife happy. Supplications and doing everything she says is not it, as plenty of other posts on this sub will attest. Instead, you need to continue to build attraction every day, and make h…

True, except certain contexts offer clues that sometimes make a more wary approach wise. The easy example would be a group of tough looking younger people in a bad part of town; no reason for disrespect but certainly it's advisable for most people to try to avoid them.
/r/MensRights18/02/15 01:58 AM

I'd contend that we are talking about the same thing and that it is a point along the respect continuum.
/r/MensRights18/02/15 01:56 AM

Well, there is a base level of respect you should give anyone before you have had some time to judge them. It's not particularly high or low; but it's non-zero, unless you're a sociopath.
/r/MensRights17/02/15 08:39 PM

The ID card thing is actually not designed to change who votes - though some people may spin it that way. It's designed to prevent people from voting more than once. So far it doesn't seem to have caused a problem in my country - though I think there's a provision that if you don't have an ID card, you can bring someone who does to vouch for you, but you still have to be registered for that to work, and so they can still prevent double voting that way.
/r/MensRights11/02/15 10:03 PM

Implying that any of these bans have actually had any effect on actually stopping people from accessing that kind of porn in the UK. Come on, man, don't be naive. This is exactly what I was talking about: they'll wave their arms about this issue, maybe make some small inroads, in order to distract people and use up their protest energy on something they don't actually care about. What else is on your list of qualifications? Well, as a non-American, I'm personally not qualified ;-) Perhaps only God-fearing Christians should be allowed to vote. Or maybe you want to go all the way back to the early days when only white male land-owners could vote. But, you weren't really looking for a reasoned reply…
/r/MensRights11/02/15 09:58 PM

Or Democrats and Democrats II. It's really more of a function of the Overton Window: the two parties exist essentially as tent poles, controlling what is perceived to be the moderate position by pushing the extremes one way or another. Not that they're colluding on this, or that it's a big conspiracy; it's more of an emergent effect.
/r/MensRights11/02/15 09:57 PM

The GOP also pulls stunts like gerrymandering voting districts, Political parties of all sorts in all countries do this. The problem isn't politicians manipulating these districts (we call them ridings where I'm from), but the idea that such districts are even a reasonable way to distribute representatives to start with. One must assume that politicians will do anything that is legal and several things that are not in order to ensure their continued election. Can't solve that problem by attackin…

/r/MensRights11/02/15 09:15 PM

why people think the internet can't be politically controlled. There's enough technology to get around censorship that if they start to squeeze us, they'll actually have a harder time monitoring people. It would be technically impossible to…

People vote their pocket book when times are bad. You're only really referring to swing voters, though. Most Americans are born into their political party, or switch once and stick with it. People are also sick of how fucked up this country is and they always blame the other tribe for this, instead of the system itself.
/r/MensRights11/02/15 07:56 PM

On the one hand, I definitely support free birth control, as the birth rates amongst the poor are higher than they should be (and conversely, the birth rates among more educated people are lower than they should be). On the other hand, asking for IDs to vote is pretty reasonable. If you don't even have a goddamned ID card, how the hell are you responsible or informed enough to have a say in the leadership?
/r/MensRights11/02/15 07:55 PM

The right is very traditionalist, which is also gynocentric. The Republicans are right of the Democrats, but they're a far cry from being actually right-wing in any meaningful sense; they're more akin to the left of two decades ago. How is traditionalism "gynocentric"? maybe you're brining an anti-left agenda to the table Of course he is, and what's wrong with that? The Progressive Left is the force behind feminism and all other attempts to deconstruct the traditions that built Western civilizat…
/r/MensRights11/02/15 07:53 PM

You're not wrong, but to think that voting Republican is all it's going to take to fix this is grossly incorrect. They're literally espousing the same views the Democrats did a few decades ago, depending on the topic: still Progressivism, but delayed by a little while to make people feel more comfortable.
/r/MensRights11/02/15 07:31 PM

I don't think so. The Republicans kowtow to almost all of the same women's special-interest groups that the Democrats do, because to do otherwise is political suicide. Don't buy into the false dichotomy. At this point, democracy has revealed itself to be a failure. You should still vote, but ignore your party affiliations and vote for individuals who you think have the right ideas, or at least, as close as you can get.
/r/MensRights11/02/15 07:13 PM

I'm not an American, but from outside your country, it seems rather obvious that your two political parties are not as far apart as you might like to think, leading to them almost being a false dichotomy. The republicans won't be able to reverse these effects; they probably won't even try, since doing so is political suicide. These days, it seems the "conservative" party in most countries is just a neoliberal economic party combined with progressive values that are simply two decades back.
/r/MensRights11/02/15 05:41 PM

Wise words. The university-bureaucracy link you're talking about has been termed the Cathedral by the new, growing Neoreactionary movement; there's a lot of excellent writing about it, if you're curious at all. /r/darkenlightenment is a good jumping off point. Essentially, the argument is that effects like the ones you describe are the natural outcome of the ratcheting-leftward shift of progressivism, which is in a sense the secular descendant of puritanical Christianity - hence the pogroms to r…

If you wish to concider marriage as purely something in relation to children have at it, you can treat it as you like that's not what i'm arguing. It's not so much a consideration as it is a historically-informed view of why the institution of ritually-sanctioned monogamy developed independently in every successful culture on the planet. The patriarchy is a proxy matriarchy mmm, no, that's really not the case. The "women and children first" sentiment exists because it is evolutionarily advantageous; if your children survive (and they often require their mothers to do so), your genes go on, so genes that prioritize the survival of one's children are fitter than ones that would prioritize the survival of one's self. Put it like this: the men on the Titanic whose wives and children made it on board a liferaft died, but their genes …

Nobody can tell me what exactly "The Patriarchy" is The patriarchy is simply assurance of paternity. This is implemented through marriage, which is essentially a man owning a woman's sexuality in order to be certain that any children she has are his. When he knows the children are his, he will expend resources to raise them, in order to improve their chances at successfully continuing the cycle. In the absence of assured paternity, there's no evolutionary advantage for a man to help raise childr…

It is nearly impossible (not completely, but nearly) for a single person to provide everything for a family given the high cost of everything. Fair enough, but it doesn't change the basic sentiment that the man should do his best to provide as much as he can for his family. Families where the wife earns more have an instant source of subconscious disparity, and the hypergamous nature of many women arguably makes this a more risky marriage in terms of its longevity. Where on earth do you see me telling people what they shouldn't do? Stop being such a goddamned totalist. /r/MensRights14/01/15 07:39 AM

Care positions are not "bullshit jobs". Yes, they are. You literally go through the same routine every single day, never actually accomplishing anything, never changing anything, never resulting in any real improvement. /r/MensRights14/01/15 04:45 AM

Care positions are such bullshit jobs anyway. Spend your entire life slaving away to care for old people, until the end, and your reward is some other guy taking care of you? The prospect fills me with dread and distaste. Care positions aren't particularly skilled, and they seem like reasonable jobs to relegate to immigrants and the less educated. We should be trying to have higher aims for native-born men, I think.

Not sure why you got downvoted, this isn't that bad of an explanation. It's just important to keep in mind that patriarchy developed and continued independently in every branch of humanity for an evolutionarily advantageous reason. The primary mechanism of patriarchy is certainty of fatherhood, based on socially recognized marriage, which is essentially a man taking a woman as property. When a man knows children are his, he puts more resources into them than he might otherwise, and the tribe adv…

/r/MensRights11/01/15 04:04 AM

Youre right but whether people are lurking or flaming I think this issue more than other flairs more emotion and people getting angry. Well, it's simple to see why: the population is split on the issue, and a house divided cannot stand. People take it personally. People who are cut feel like the uncut guys are telling them they can't enjoy sex, or are mutilated, and they get defensive. People who are uncut feel like the cut guys are telling them they're unhygenic and that women don't like their …

This is why I argue that what we should fight the hardest for is some sort of medical consensus. We need scientists to study this and we need science organizations to take a stand on it from specifically a medical perspective. I believe this has been in progress for decades, and it seems to still be a battleground. Europe and Canada have moved to the no-circumcision side, for more than 30 years; the USA is still on the circumcision side. I honestly believe that's not going to change, especially …

Right now I am largely leaning towards having the practice made illegal See, I don't think it should be illegal, any more than any other body modification should be. To start: I'm uncut myself, and I had as much say in that as most people have in being cut: precisely none. For 99.999% of men, it's not something we choose to be on either side of; it was chosen for us, by parents or doctors or culture. Nobody should shame you for being on either side of this divide. It's not a fault issue, nor does it make us so different from one another that we need to be in camps about it. My position is not even that male infant circumcision is right, it's that we need to …

The thing is, we're supposed to try to be "better" - better than our past selves, better than those we perceive to be doing poorly, and a bit of friendly competition even between friends and coworkers spurs people on to produce higher quality work and excel in their lives. because you are afraid to getting HIV from a bloodbank, you would like gay men not to donate blood? Nobody is getting HIV from a blood bank. Every sample is screened. Cutting contact is a weak person's solution to complex issues. This is a family member; you often can't cut contact without skipping a ton of family events and essentially cutting yourself off from others too. OP, man up, confront them, and don't back down. Good post. In many ways, this oppression-focused set of movements is a result of a similar set of problems as charities face. Charities usually start as legitimate concerns for a cause, but over time they develop overhead costs, and need to boost donations in order to maintain. First of all, by letting him successfully annoy you, you are breaking frame and proving to him that you're not an alpha and you can't play ball. You need to hurl the same genre of witticisms back at him in order to prove that he can't annoy you and that you're on his level, at which time he will begin to have some respect for you and the game will change a little. If you can't do that, then you need to disassociate from him and stay in contexts where you can maintain your frame.

Your urge to pursue females is the Biological Imperative - your body wants you to reproduce. Spinning plates endlessly without reproducing is biologically equivalent to masturbation, you're just using someone's vagina to do it instead of your hand. I disagree. Continually dressing a level more formally than people who are supposed to be your peers is also a way to be seen as aloof or snobbish. Better to dress in the same relative formality but with better quality and fit.

How can having children, and thereby putting faith in the continuation your own genes, come across as "giving up"? Look, I know that biology makes things inconvenient. At the time in your life where you can have the most fun with the fewest responsibilities, you're also most likely to produce healthy offspring. (Yes, age affects sperm quality; not as badly as it affects women's reproductive issues, but there is an effect). There's also the matter of how much energy you have to keep up with kids,…

And? Oh, I like that argument technique. I made a point there, either respond to it or say nothing. The purpose of a parent is to help a child be the best at who they are. Not who you want them to be. Not sure what I said that was contradictory to that. No. I do not think my schedule would permit me the time to raise my children the way I think is adequate. The corollary to this is that very, very few men throughout history have been able to raise their children in a way you would think is "adeq…

I'm gonna call Poe's Law on this one, because it's very difficult for me to believe you're serious. Your post history is consistent, though, so maybe you do legitimately believe these things. In a world with no objective morality then having children is meaningless. This statement is illogical on its face. The objective or subjective nature of morality has been debated for thousands of years; the Greeks talked about it. Should they have had no children? Should they have let their civilization di…

There have been tens of thousands of generations of humans who have all managed with fewer resources and a tougher life than anything you or your child will experience. That's not enough time to deprogram all the societal bullshit Sure there is. Having kids means giving up on a lot of your own pleasure in order to enable their happiness and success. However, it's also the culmination of your SMV. What were you building it up for, other than to prove to women's subconcious minds that you'd be the ideal father for their children? What did you think sex was for, besides sating your drugli…

Genetics does not give one flying fuck about the happiness of people or their relationship history - all it care about is breeding, and so if one Chinese American breeds with another, you have the continuation of the race, even if everyone involved hates each other. How come I haven't seen this point anywhere yet: This woman is walking around, ostensibly for ten hours which is, like, a thirty kilometre walk or more, with a camera pointed at her. That's right. She's not just walking, there's someone else with a camera. Doesn't that change the equation a little? Doesn't that mess with the test, and make the results inherently invalid? All we know from this video is that people like to mug for the camera. That's it.

"Falling in love" is an ongoing process of cultivating value in one another, along with a set of explicit expectations for behaviour. That's it. The marriages and LTRs that are truly successful are ones where both parties know that and don't pretend otherwise. True. It is degenerate, it breaks down the family unit, and it spreads disease. However, like many things, legality doesn't matter in that people will be doing it anyway, and always have. Making it illegal only serves to make it dangerous and to keep it in the hands of criminals, including organized crime. If humanity is going to do something anyway, the rational approach is to legalize and regulate so as to make it safer where possible.
/r/TheRedPill31/10/14 03:09 PM

Yes. We need the Dutch et al to weigh in on this one. I think that, even with legality, there is and will be a stigma attached to this for a long time. I know "men" who do not own any tools. I mean not even a screwdriver. Boggles my mind. Most of this comes from how you are raised. If your old man doesn't work on things himself, and instead just pays others to do it, he won't be able to teach you how, and the ignorance spreads to the next generation. The only solution for this is to ensure that your children have ample opportunity to learn how to work on things when they are young.

That's okay. The companies that continue to hire white male STEM workers will still see the greatest return on their investment compared to anyone else. Where else can you find that blend of creativity, resourcefulness, intelligence, and a good balance of compliance coupled with willingness to speak truth to power? Freeze us out of the big companies and you're just asking for startups out of nowhere to nip at their heels.

As long as you are willing to do what you can within your skill set, and willing to broaden it over time, you don't qualify for his insult. It's the "men" who don't own any tools and are never willing to try to fix things themselves that his complaint is more properly directed to. Ultimately, the world is complicated, and specializations exist because people sink thousands of hours into learning a craft or trade that most of us only need an hour or two a year. Better to find a quality tradesman …

I have similar happiness in my marriage, and some of it comes from my wife's willingness to take on her classical gender role along with working a career. It is a tough balance for her, but the end result is fulfilling. This is only possible because I have learned to provide a solid, alpha base for her to build on and respond to. Without that, there is no way she would be comfortable with any kind of "first mate" role, as she wouldn't trust that there was a captain aboard. RP provides the fundam…

Don't be fooled into thinking the new math education method is better just because it lines up with the way you wanted to do things. I was astonished by the textbook you linked to. Teaching social justice within mathematics? What in the ever living fuck? Very good point, can't be stated strongly enough. Reality is the world outside of pop culture horseshit: a world of jobs, and hard work, and unpleasant choices, and sacrifice. I do this to a certain extent, but there is a danger here. Ever heard of the Filter Bubble? It's the idea that we're sectioning ourselves off to the point that we'll only be reading news we like and agree with. That's not a good way to stay in touch with the world. I guess what I'm curious about is what do you do the whole time. It's so very venue-dependant. If we have a classic Cheers-style bar, then yeah, you might park on a bar stool from time to time and engage in conversation with the people around you, or the bartender if he's not too busy. You get up and play some darts, see if people want to play pool. If people are milling about similarly with nothing to do, you can just go talk to them. Depends a lot on the kind of bar and the scene. If you're going to be lone, you need a bar where people aren't just cloistering at their tables; there needs to be a lot of dynamism, people standing, opportunities to talk to people without butting into a group and getting the cold shoulder.

One of the reasons for this is that in the 50s, your community was much smaller. You had friends from church or from work, you'd have gone to school with many of them. With no social networking, you had to call, write, or meet to 'keep up appearances' with each person, necessitating so much more time than the modern fire-it-into-the-ether approach we have now that your circle of friends would necessarily end up smaller. The problem here is that there is not just one society. While birth rates in western cultures are dropping, we have an unprecedented level of immigration. Since all you want is a friend, you don't really need to put as much strategic thought into it as you would with a girl that you wanted a sexual relationship with. Don't overthink it. TRP is heavily anti marriage, but that's because marriage is difficult and arguably less pleasurable than the hedonistic lifestyle they do espouse. However, from a civilizational standpoint, marriage is the building block of the stable family unit. People with large families are often less intelligent, but the large family is not the reason for that, rather a symptom. There is an inverse correlation between a woman's intelligence and education and the number of kids she has. Women need to be ovulating to get pregnant, right? That's maybe 2/30 days a month, so just less than 10% of rapes should be happening at that time. Sure, if you like living in a third world shithole with starving people on every street corner. It's not like as though the West has always had welfare; we introduced it to improve the state of affairs for normal people, not just the poor. Way happier living somewhere that doesn't look like a goddamned shanty town, ya know?

Yes, I am. When in Rome, act as Romans do; when in Belgium, follow the goddamned decorum that the other people there prefer, don't aggressively catcall women to the extent that they need to make fucking laws about it. Foreigners should not have the right to just act however they like and fall back on "muh culture" as a defence. It's not a defence at all.

First thing you need to learn is how to take a breath, take a beat, before speaking. Most of us are conditioned to respond quickly to anything in conversation, which takes away from a valuable moment we have to think just a little bit harder about the context of the conversation and the potential impact of our answers. Second thing you have to learn are mental tools for breaking out of feedback loops. When you find yourself obsessing about something or thinking in a circle, you need to break the…

You're not here to learn how to be a sociopath or a robot. Feelings are not your enemy themselves, it's the actions they can make you take that are the real enemy. Men often devolve into betas in LTRs because they allow their feelings to take hold and ruin their frame. Feelings can result in Oneitis over an unrequited love and ruin one's chance at finding someone else. You're allowed to have feelings, you should have them, you should enjoy them, but you should also master them and not let them c…

Ahh, well this is their own fault for groping women on the train all the time. People should be able to commute to work without getting molested. Stems from the fact that they're a super beta society with ridiculously high rates of involuntary celibacy and the Hikkikomori who live at home jerking it to anime their entire lives.... This is the only opportunity many of those men have to touch a real girl. Not defending it, just pointing out how sad their state of affairs has become.

Right. Just like the headlight laws that allow an officer an excuse to pull someone over whom they have profiled but would otherwise have no reason to go after, those laws were put in place to give the police leverage to enact discriminatory behaviour. This law may be the same, if it's selectively enforced against the swarthy Moroccans and regular native Belgians are left alone. In that context, it wouldn't be such a bad thing, as it would be a law defending the native Belgian women from aggress…

Don't get a job in a bar if you want to actually succeed at your studies. Too much access to alcohol, plus late hours, plus being surrounded by washed up people that aren't going on to college and better things. Not a recipe for academic success. It's like the word "SAFE." Originally it meant: protected from rape or violence. Now it means: protected from ever having to feel socially awkward or unvalidated. Great example of cultural marxism in action, here, and particularly an excellent choice of word: they're redefining it to imply equal outcomes, rather than the discrete meaning it used to have for basic physical security.

Sorry champ, but I think for myself; just because something happens to be in the sidebar doesn't mean it holds gospel sway over how I think and act. That is some goddamned ignorant shit to say. You can love kids as much as anyone and still find them to be draining as they run around with limitless energy making messes and screaming all the time. Everyone has their limits, and their off days. OP, one question I have is: what would your wife do with that Me Time if she had it? From its inception only a handful of generations of humans has passed. What are you talking about? It has been what, four thousand years of Judaism, at least. That's two hundred generations of people at least, assuming children by age of 20, which is probably older than reality. Religion was designed. Iteratively. Iteratively, yes, but the "end goal" it was designed with is not the same thing as the reality it resulted in. The end goal is some lofty spiritual concern, but the reality is played o…

No, no, that implies religion was designed. As a memeplex, it evolved. The behaviours and strategies that worked for the long term success of a group were encoded as traditions and became the religion over time. No conscious awareness is required for this. The ancients didn't actually have the wisdom: it's simply that the behaviours that worked resulted in the next generation being successful, and the behaviours that didn't lead to the downfall of the groups that held them. The car will help increase your value for a girl that's already interested, i.e. if you pick her up for a date. The interior and cleanliness are going to matter most; external appearance second, performance a distant third since you're not going to want to drive like a jackass with her in the car. Not really a commensurate boost in SMV relative to price, let's put it that way. Just a nice extra. Buy a nice car because you want it, not because you think women will.

The other poster's painting metaphor isn't bad, but I'll take a crack. Think about it like how you might frame a shot when taking a photo. Depending on where you stand, what lens you use, what you focus on, what you crop out, etc. the same physical scene can be portrayed many different ways. Your frame is similar. It's a matter of how you portray the world, including past, present, and future. I think there are two components: external and internal. Internal frame is how you present the world to…

First of all, you need to reject the false dichotomy the world has provided you with by dividing people into two camps of introvert and extrovert. It's a continuum, and you're somewhere on the intro- side of it, sure, but what does that mean? People speak of "social energy" and how going out uses it up - faster in introverts who have maybe an hour or two of "faking extroversion" or less, and slower in those extroverts who seem to thrive and gain more energy as it goes. I believe this is somethin…

A correction. You cannot command respect from people that already know you and have already slotted you into a position. With these people, you must earn respect, which is usually a slow process, involving increasing your authority and responsibility. You have to be careful not to go too fast or they will have more jealousy for you than respect. Either way, with these people, you will be eliciting respect through your actions, not commanding it. Conversely, with new people, you can indeed often …

It's because masculinity comes with responsibility, and with building a life for yourself rather than expecting it to be handed to you. Doing this can make you more 'conservative' because once you have done so, you don't necessarily want to support any way by which people could exploitatively free-load on the labour of others.

TRP needs to start recognizing that different men want different things, and there is a subset of us who want families and stability more than we want to fuck every pretty thing that walks by. There's a danger in being prescriptive with the approach here, when in reality we should start by asking, "What do you really want out of life?", and then providing redpilled answers on how to get there.

Yes, the anti-blue-collarism massively hurt America. It necessitates bringing in foreign labour to do these jobs instead, leading to unemployment problems with natural citizens, wage issues for citizen tradesmen who get undercut, etc. Yes, some people out there should get English and History degrees and keep working on that body of knowledge. Most people, however, should find something productive that they don't mind doing, something that requires a bit of intelligence and adaptability so as not…

Thanks for the link. I can't say I agree with the author, though; he is going way too far in trying to bend Vonnegut's words into agreement with his own opinions. Vonnegut didn't endorse the Right or the Left, he endorsed what he saw as the good parts of either side, and some good parts neither side has clued into. I mean, shit, this guy sees Vonnegut saying "I like his socialism" about Orwell, and doesn't clue into the fact that it was a sarcastic remark? Please. While Harrison Bergeron does ta…

I wonder if higher physical standards would help weed out the "casuals" who want the job just for a paycheck and some power I agree with your desired end goal of filtering the results, but disagree that fitness is going to be the best standard. Having a lower bound is good, but once you're above that minimum, other factors play more into the stability and sanity of a person. I don't think we want to hire roided-out gym monkeys to be cops, you know? Also, could higher levels of fitness help again…

That right there is the rationalization hamster in action. She's no doubt read that justification before - it's hardly novel - and has internalized a story that this is her reason and excuse for her behaviour. It's exactly the sort of excuse a well trained, feminized beta male is preprogrammed to accept as valid, too. Too bad she can't admit she just loves getting off on random cock all the time. I respect an honest slut far more than a rationalizing cheater even given the exact same actions. In…

Where does this take us? Will we end up with some variety of complex function that takes one's body type, sex, race, gender, orientation, tumblrkin pronouns, and the like into consideration, and then mandates that you be thoroughly average for your character class or higher in order to be accepted? Or will we lower standards until anyone that wants to do anything is allowed? Or will we man up, and refuse to employ people for things that we know they cannot do?

Lots of men in good strong marriages have reported that when they had some sort of personal blow, even a death in their family, cousins, parents, etc., the wife suddenly was NOT there for them. I've posted about this a bit more in this thread, so go read; but I will admit that what you're talking about is real, and happened in my family. Being vulnerable never works in your favour Well, like I said, it's a different part of vulnerability. It could be good, for example, for your lady to see you cry when your grandmother dies - but only if that's an honest display of emotion on your part, and if it's over quickly, and if you show a strong recovery and willingness to help comfort other family members. It humanizes you and will make her realize that you've been an honest person with your emotions in other aspects of the relationship…

Assuming you're interested in an LTR: When you get to the right place in the relationship where you truly know your girl, you can do all of this and have it be a benefit. Remember, you should always be trying to be attractive. if the universe is mechanical, how is it not deterministic? This is the question that was being asked a hundred years ago. The answer was the Uncertainty Principle: that you cannot possibly know both where a particle is, and where it's going, at the same time. This means that predictions of physical interactions are limited in their accuracy to providing probabilities, on…

Sexual strategy is amoral. No act that affects another person is truly amoral. Morality is the subject of how our actions affect others, and what is right and wrong within our culture and within objective reality. The rule is not for legal or biological purposes, nor is it for maximization of your enjoyment of life. The rule is for social acceptability. If you violate it, you have to expect that people will notice and comment on it, and think the worse of you for it. Well said. Married TRP seems to me to be the second phase of the game; you've chosen the best of all available options based on a complicated equation of SMV and the obvious decreasing opportunity over time, and now you need to make that work for the happiness of both parties. She needs you to be the alpha that she wanted while you were dating, while also being the provider that you hinted at. You need her to maintain her SMV while being loyal. This takes a ton of game, it's just different game,…

It's not that breaking up is not an option. Divorce exists. It's just that the goal of marriage is to not break up, if possible, by voluntary consensual choice of both partners, and so if you're going to try to actually do that, you need to apply TRP differently.

Married guy here: yes, TRP applies, especially low level dread game and maintaining your SMV in order to maintain her attraction to you and minimize any chance of he heating. But. There isn't a ton of advice on here that's aimed at married guys. I don't see where I said anything about supporting the status quo. I just don't think we can fiddle while Rome burns and pretend we're on some part of the ship that's not sinking.

Not only that, but they're not hanging out in the same places for the most part; why would fit Rob Lowe types want to patron the same places that ugly 40 year old women working mid-to-low-end jobs do?

so ultimately in your short time on Earth the best strategy is to maximize your own pleasure even if it comes at the cost of others. This is not a civilization-building strategy; this is not patriarchy. This is selfish, cad behaviour. Yes, it works for you. I am not denying that. But surely you're able to see that a society where everyone does this is pretty much doomed, no? A little bit of selflessness goes a long way.

What led you to conclude we are out of space? Look at a map sometime, champ. Tons of room, tons of arable land left untouched, even still.

Right on. This is what Dawkins and MacLuhan originally intended the word "meme" to mean: an idea that evolves. Ideas have to transfer themselves from mind to mind, changing in the process, and ideas with sticking power and high transferability do well, while other ideas die out. (We see this in religion: religions with strong laws around sex and procreation had more children and perpetuated themselves better over time.) Feminism is a meme like any other ideology, and it has evolved a number of t…
