Curvy used to be associated with slim bodies with curves, like Sofia Loren. It’s not actually curvy if there’s generalised fat

It’s fine to be insecure, and it’s fine to make requests that might not be everyone’s cup of tea. That doesn’t make it “not okay” imo

People can make requests based on preferences or boundaries, and the partner is free to accept or leave, other times strict boundaries can be suggested if the other party isn’t being respectful (a hypothesis not this case). They’re adults, just leave

Why pull it out now though?

Older generations kept younger generations in check, it wasn’t just men regulating women’s behaviour.

I wonder if any of these people were present when TRP sub had a few thousand members, I don’t see it all that different like you said

The market decides who’s “worth” what, and that’s made from individual choices. This seems like an over complicated excuse to ask women to ask out men more, when there is no real reason to, unless someone wants to.

I had something to say, and I think you’re being delusional

I’m saying you talk like someone who hasn’t seen actual human interactions or who doesn’t understand how they work or you are very young

Have you seen human interactions or did you just read about them?

Everyone had to be convinced, not just men. It was also a change hugely driven by technology and pharmaceuticals; the pill! I don’t see how men have leverage in this as they aren’t being held back by the dangers of childbirth and the limitations that pregnancy and child rearing brings 🤔 They’d be like “We’ll stop chasing you, and a part of us will also stop harrassing you” and women would rejoice lol

How are you so sure women will accept it? There were upsides for the men to the removal of the few gendered norms you mentioned. I’m quite intrigued by your way of thinking

Women have been working for centuries, they didn’t for a very brief period of time amongst non poor classes. These things changed because women started doing it and men accepted, having their own benefits such as a higher paid spouse and intimacy before marriage.

I have yet to see many gender norms disappear (not that I care) even for women.

You can stop anytime, you should find a way to make women like you even if you stop behaving like lots of men do to attract women. And I don’t see how that’s possible.

You told me the motivation. I think it’s ridiculous to expect the majority of neurotypical men to follow through. Wouldn’t it be better to teach other men how to weed out toxic partners?

I asked what the incentive is not the motivation to make such a mass change for everyone. There is no assurance of success. I’m pretty sure lots of hererosexual women would be fine or even better on their own if they couldn’t find a man they like rather than being with someone that doesn’t fit their standards.

And why should they do that, when according to you most women like it? What would be the incentive?

You have no obligation to do any of what you mentioned. You do not get sanctioned or go to jail if you don’t approach or propose. But even if we do want to consider it an obligation even though it isn’t, what do you suggest men do? Stop being the first to approach, to ask for dates, to propose? I’m truly curious to know what your suggestion would be. I am not being sarcastic, I’m curious how you’d convince men and women to stop acting the way that makes you feel obligated to act a certain way.

Someone prohibits them to look for someone who doesn’t want such behaviour? Or do you expect to change what others desire? That sounds quite entitled

You’re probably not, doesn’t define the rest. Much easier to look for a partner that will appreciate you for how you want to live a relationship than to expect the world to change because it doesn’t suit your needs

It seems to me like the majority of people are fine with it. In any case one should look for partners that have similar interests and beliefs

Why should they push for it? So that the guys who aren’t making a fuss out of these things get an advantage in dating?

In most cases if a guy doesn’t “take a hint” he’s not interested. Hence when some women complain about guys not taking the hint they’re probably complaining about him not making a move because he doesn’t like her. On my part I wouldn’t want a guy who either doesn’t like him or who doesn’t “take a hint” and understand subtle human communication so it’s a way to weed people whom i wouldn’t be compatible with.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
