I would argue that mainstream feminism has many bad players that doesn't get negative feedback because feminists don't care about men. This makes mainstream feminism a tool that can be used by misandrists but isn't the hate group itself. But yes I still can't respect people who don't care about men at all.

While I wouldn't agree that mainstream feminism = hate group persé, because I feel like hate group is a too strong word for a community that "just" accepts misandrist stances and talking points Many feminists just don't really care about male issues and feel like it's not important. This shows that feminism isn't a movement for equality, but I dislike generalizing their whole group as hate group. Still, this is a men's rights advocate sub. How do you advocate for men's rights without being a men…

If that's not what you meant, then your message made even less sense. Gender = gender rolls You couldn't make a point how they're different but insist on their difference being a key part

I would disagree. Gender is a loose societal construct about expectations based on identity in said society. Being a "man" doesn't mean anything if you are just saying "a man is a man". Being a man means different things based on the time and place you're in. Societal expectations are part of the definition "man" or "woman". A gender(role) also doesn't mean you "have to" do stuff, but it's mostly what society sees as a norm.

If gender doesn't decide what people do or don't do, what does gender do in your opinion? And you're talking about "gender rolls" and "gender" as different things. How are they different?

Idk where you live that draft isnt just for men where you are, but where I am men are considered fine to be used as cannon fodder in the draft while women aren't. Do you realize that if someone is cruel he kills men but if he is really cruel like a real bad person, that person kills not only men but women and children too. Where I'm from, women make up over 50% of university students and still get women only scholarships while men don't have men only scholarships. Sure people being misogynistic …

Valid opinion. My opinion is that there are spaces where people may be more comfortable being with only their gender or sex. In 6th grade, we had a sex ed period where only girls would be in the classroom. Boys had free time meanwhile. Kinda weird that they didn't have one for boys too but I understand why they had the female only space there. I'd say that toilets should be intersex (that just helps removing many problems) and when you have a gender or sex only space, it's important to give the …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
