I don't like playing games, but it's a fact of life that everyone will try to present themselves in a more favorable light.

Hardly a problem. I would hardly be attracted to many women either, if they were 100 % honest and open from the get-go.

Well, oftentimes it's a matter of making a good impression, vs. making a bad one. If I was 100% open and honest, I doubt I would attract a single woman in my life.

It's not like women usually tell you about their true intentions and desires either. Everyone puts on some kind of a facade, especially when it comes to dating. Everyone omits some degree of themselves.

Pretty much this. It also depends a lot on culture, and circumstances. Internet is a certain hivemind monoculture, where catchphraces, memes, myths and talking points flow effortlessly from one screen to another, globally. For example, I live and study in a small, remote campus, in a sparsely populated country. The general atmosphere here is pretty nature oriented and free spirited. Many artists and musicians from interesting backgrounds, and from all age brackets. I think men are less likely to…

People grow up you know. Get more mature. Find their place in the world. Overcome their insecurities. Get life experience. 10 years ago I was a complete nobody and pretty much invisible to any woman at my age. Now I'm at least someone, have little to no insecurites, I'm in way better shape, I have healthier and more productive pursuits, and have a lot of life experience and big social circles. But the women in my age tend to have other priorities at this point in life, because they've grown up t…

How much older we are talking about?

Well, if you're someone who has not climbed the career ladder, gotten a decent education, gotten much wealth, or don't have much experience in long term relationships by the time you're 30+, you might not be very good candidate for someone of your own age. They might expect a steady career. They might expect suitable conditions for starting a family. They might expect home ownership. They might have divorced or broken up from a long term relationship. For someone younger, those things might not …

How is it rude or weird? People throughout history have settled with far less than their ideal fantasy. Isn't that what men here whine about? Wanting a woman who is attracted to them? So if this one woman out of a hundred who is infatuated by me is not "my type", I should turn her down? Lmao. I can't afford to be choosy when it comes to women, it's up to the woman to choose me out of every other potential candidate. Obviously there needs to be a degree of attraction that can develop into a deepe…

Then men would stop dating altogether, because the chances that the woman they're interested in would show interest back, are pretty slim. One of my biggest realizations was to stop running after people who are "my type" no matter how hopeless, and rather evaluate my chances with the few who actually show interest in me. On top of that, "my type" in general is probably the kind of a woman, who would not be a good partner for me. Mutually assured destruction kind of thing... Just because someone …

Yeah, it happens. I should've been born 10 years earlier as well. So what? It is what it is. If it hadn't been this way, I would not have been born in the first place.

I guess parents who had children over the age of 40 should apologize their children for having been born then.

Yeah, people should just voluntarily embrace a barren, sterile existence and die alone, because someone doesn't like age gap relationships? :D I bet you're also a staunch advocate for stay-at-home moms/dads, because pursuing a career robs 8+ hours every day that they could spend with their children, on top of depriving all their energy.

You should. But why, exactly? You shouldn't be attracted to people much younger or much older than you because of the difference in age/life stage Well, if you're a man in your 40s or 50s, you pretty much have to date someone younger if you ever desire to have children.

Young women are sexier than old women, at least for the absolute majority of men.

I only started to attract women after I turned 26, and it's hardly my fault if some of them are younger, and the ones in my age are already in established relationships, in good jobs or simply in totally different social settings.

Lmao. I for one have zero ambitions to stress myself with competing over "good" jobs that I wouldn't afford to lose if I land them, that also tend to involve sitting on a computer all day. That is something I consider sad... I do whatever shit jobs that are available, and when I get tired of it, I'll quit and enjoy the freedom of not having a job. Last year, I made around 8000 € in total. I spent 2/3rd of my year doing everything else but working.

My only problem with the ""friendzone"" is the fact that it rarely entails a real friendship. It's just a clumsy way of politely rejecting someone.

Signing a contract sanctifies it, and gives it a higher, divine quality.

Your social circles sound extremely prejudiced, boring and exclusive. Among my peers, the median age in a typical party I attend is probably 22, with some being as young as 18, and the oldest one being almost 50. Everyone has good time regardless. Creepy behavior is creepy behavior, and has nothing to do with age.

But is it really a problem to have more life experience? I'd be a lot better and more considerate partner now than I was 10 years ago, as naive and reckless who didn't quite comprehend the implications of his actions, and was oblivious to his faults. I've already been through many of the pitfalls of early adulthood, and know how to deal with them, which means I could also help my younger partner to deal with them as well.

There seems to be a big discrepancy in statements like these. Survivorship bias? The ones who are best at attracting women, are also more dominant, competitive and aggressive, and therefore many women consider them to represent all men. Other men are completely outside their radar. Meanwhile, I for one know from my own personal experience, and from the struggles of my friends in the dating world, that the bar is definitely not in the sewer. Most men don't even get the chance. We have to try over…

I wouldn't call them morons. They just don't have had the chance to ever expand their worldview to such extent, they would gain some perspective to self-reflect. When your only friend is yourself, and years go by, the only context you have is the things you have told to yourself. Some true, some half-true, some coping mechanisms, and some just pure lies. And there's no one to give you any context of how much you are on the wrong track. Better yet, there might be some niche online echo-chamber or…

Never done any of this. I hate lying and I hate pretentious competitiveness. Feels like I'm prostituting myself on a spiritual level. To be both the product and the salesman. I just don't do it. My worth is what it is. In some ways, way beyond others. In others, lackluster at best. I would be lying if I said it's easy to live with the knowledge of how much more effective it is to sell an imperfect product with a good sales pitch, rather than openly admitting its flaws. It's not easy to watch som…

This would make sense if the fast food chains wouldn't do whatever it is in their power to sell and normalize the fast food they are selling. People can be manipulated to do certain personal decisions. 200 years ago there was no demand for fast food, yet somehow in the course of the next two centuries, this demand was created by marketing and making fast food part of the culture. Same applies to most consumer goods, since the supplier has the interest to sell his product, and the consumer must b…

Car that looks good might be more attractive, but if it's a bad car, it's a bad car. By having really good genes and looking physically very attractive, you will naturally attract more of the opposite sex, but it's only one variable and not the decisive one. Then again, even a person like this could be overweight or underweight and smell like shit, and have a ridiculous haircut and style. And an "uglier" person can be fit and groomed, and have very original and attractive style. A healthy lookin…

Be a fucking man and realize that the only person you need to focus on is yourself. That's called selfishness. It's not a virtue and doesn't lead to a good life. There are plenty of things you should also focus on, and it's not like you can have a good relationship if you don't focus to your partner as well. You just must have balance with it and keep your head cool. You can't be the one who always makes the initiative, but that doesn't mean you can never do it. That being said, you are complete…

In modern industrial society only minimal effort is necessary to satisfy one’s physical needs. It is enough to go through a training program to acquire some petty technical skill, then come to work on time and exert the very modest effort needed to hold a job. The only requirements are a moderate amount of intelligence and, most of all, simple OBEDIENCE. If one has those, society takes care of one from cradle to grave. (Yes, there is an underclass that cannot take the physical necessities for gr…
