I am actually hoping I get this situation. They have been my family for 30 years now and I have none of my own left. I think it will be a 50/50 split among them but I also know that at least some of them have seen how lopsided our relationship has been for a long time and how bad her attitude with everyone has been. I will deal with it if they cut off, but it would be a shame.

I am sitting on this information currently. The biggest reason I am (and have been for a few years) is I didn't want any drama being visited upon my kids at home. Youngest goes to college soon and once the STBX becomes the X I am dropping napalm. Biggest reasons for me are 2 things that hurt the most 1) Shitbag and his family care for my dog under the guise of being "nice" when we went out of town several times (it was apparently a good excuse for their communication if ever questioned) and the …

Went to counseling for about a year a couple of years ago. STBX insisted it needed to be a woman and I think she thought she would get the "You are SO right about everything". That didn't happen but through all of it she simply won't/can't admit that the root of all of our problems is simply that she decided to make EVERYTHING in her life more deserving of her time and attention than I was. The counselor tried to show her the reality of what refusing to give ANY meaningful affection (let alone a…

Are there other assets that you could use to offset your portion of the home value (i.e. portions of investments she would have otherwise been entitled too, pensions etc)? If so she can forgo those other $$$$ to enable her to keep the home.

It was 2 ( I found the evidence when she left a computer open unknowingly), I have all their details, and they DO have justice coming to them. The only real reasons I feel the need to deal with them is they are 1) Both married and their wives need some dirtbag knowledge and, more importantly, 2) They are both Vets as well.....fucking disgusting "jodie" shit, lowest of the low to fuck around with another servicemembers wife. When the time comes info goes to wives, neighbors, works and church (one…

Our relationship, especially the sex, went steadily downhill after she got pregnant with our last child. I kept trying to be attentive and romantic whenever I could. Got very little response. Finally, I was almost begging when she said....."I have really thought about just telling you to go have an affair". Like a punch to the gut. I was hurt and pissed so I started an online thing with an old girlfriend for some attention. Wife start snooping for some reason, found the texts. Proceeds to start …

I am fine with half....especially since my VA money will ensure a decent standard of living for me no matter what. No alimony here and she has a good job (currently making more than I since I retired) and a Master's degree. Even if it cost me a little extra it will be good for me.

Brother, I am also IDES retired, 100%VA and will be in a somewhat similar circumstance soon. You are NOT trying to get anything other than what is right. The only thing I can see as negotiable would be who gets to stay in the house. Are you the children's main care giver? If so, then I think you staying in the house is the best approach. Doing what is best for you will also be what is best for YOUR KIDS..... wish you the best.

Does she know this is ending as well/ is she initiating this split? This will be seen through immediately by the court and NOT looked at kindly if in the middle of a split. Had this been done and money spent before it could be shown that you had knowledge of the upcoming split you would have some plausible deniability.

Simple.....either her being honest about intending to split her time and energy completely between work and anything remotely related to the kids SHE HAD to have (which would have led to no marriage). Or, in the alternative, when I begged and pleaded countless time for attention, time, sex etc ....to take it seriously and just give a FEW hours a month solely to us. That is literally all it would have taken.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
