Don't want to be a personal slave. Don't want to date or marry a man.

Exactly. That itself requires a lot of therapy to get over

Yes, leave women alone. To those men: women don't owe you free labour

Being a homemaker is more than a full time job and it allows the man the free time to earn and supports their ability to progress in their career. The homemaker is giving up educational & career opportunities, progression, benefits, pension, status, security etc. It damn well should be well remunerated and normally it isn't. Men will happily take these household (and other) services for free and you get no compensation for your lost career, earnings, time, damage to your body etc I personally wo…

To understand how the world works better. It's eye opening. The more I learn, the less I want to date men. To protect the interests of myself/other women in situations where I have to deal with men. Social change. Not exhaustive, just a. few things that come to mind. Primarily, to learn and how to avoid BS.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/12/21 08:14 PM

Yup. If men are incapable of noticing detail and being careful, are they even safe to be surgeons, dentists etc?

Too many LVMs out there. Not worth the hassle and risk. I’d rather not waste my time
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/12/21 10:25 PM

better to be alone than to be with LV people who drag you down

My mum (referring to my father and brother), "oh aren't men so untidy? ha ha. women are just better at being tidy" Me: "no, men aren't incapable of being tidy, they just don't bother because there is a woman to pick up after them."
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/12/21 09:35 PM
9

They could do these things if they were so inclined. Instead, they prefer to leave it for women to deal with

More like trapped and enslaved, not pampered. Glorified sex slave. Stay at home wife is precarious enough, stay at home GF is even worse.

Exactly. lose the loser man and live in peace. Just being rich is NOT HVM. HVM are generous and caring. This guy is NOT. He displays a complete lack of empathy and huge selfishness. Don't forget that a rich guy is USELESS if he's not GENEROUS too. (Deep pockets and short arms are no good to anyone). Better to be alone than with a miser and get treated like shit. Being with a rich and stingy man does not improve your life.

This is one of my sayings. Rich is useless if he isn’t generous
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/11/21 11:27 PM

So true. Do not become financially dependent on a man. Do not give up your education or career. Being a homemaker or mother is not protected or rewarded financially. You have no assets, pension, career or income. Being a homemaker or mother IS a valuable job, but the labour is not rewarded or recognised.

I’ve never paid to travel to see a guy. They have always paid. Nowadays I cba. He’d have to be something really special before I might even CONSIDER travelling for a man. And it would be first class only. I like my peace and quiet. That’s what he’s competing against. Is he better than that? Probably not. So not worth the hassle.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/11/21 01:13 AM

The more successful a woman becomes, the more difficulty she will have in finding a decent partner. This says more about men than it does about you. Be successful, WILDLY successful and sod the men. They’re unnecessary.

In the UK, you can report doctors to the GMC for misconduct/fitness to practice issues, which includes failing to behave in a way which is expected of doctors (eg by the public/GMC). This includes behaviour outside work too.

"I love you. I want to take care of you" But does he actually behave like someone who loves you? Does he actually take care of you? Or is it all just talk and no action?

I didn't sign up to be an unpaid house servant, so no thanks
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/09/21 10:25 PM

They think because you’re not earning, that you’re not contributing. Being a mother and homemaker is more than a full time job. They are unpaid, unvalued, you lose career progression, respect and pension etc. It harms your long term career prospects. It’s very risky to make yourself dependent on a man.

Single and not looking. (A few years ago*) my exes kept asking me if I was dating/looking for a man. Lmao, no. Why the fuck would I want a man? I have since learned better and keep stronger boundaries with exes.

My tired brain at first read this as "eating more than men in a traditional culture". It doesn't benefit you to reveal your salary to them. My dad loves mansplaining simple shit to me...that I've been already using for years. I mostly just zone out and pretend to humour him. I CBA to argue at this point.

Nobody (male or female) is inherently entitled to anything. If you improve yourself and behave like a decent human being, you have a better chance of finding a partner. Nobody "deserves" a partner. Being alone is not inherently a bad thing either. FDS does not say all men are trash FDS does not say men must be 6'2 and 10/10. LOL, where?! Why are these incel men so obsessed with looks? It's all they focus on. Most of FDS is about behaviour and personality. These are very much within one's control…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/08/21 08:29 PM

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/08/21 08:05 PM

They conveniently forget the countless unpaid hours of labour women are burdened with, many of which go totally unappreciated & unrecognised. Not to mention giving up your career progression, security and pension. Then they resent you for having given up your freedom, autonomy and status to allow them to pursue their career. It’s a very risky move to become dependent on a man. No thanks.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/08/21 11:59 AM

For US readers, mass shootings are very rare in the UK. They’re just not really a thing here. At what point would an act like this qualify as a hate crime or terrorism?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/08/21 11:52 AM

Yup! And even if they’re not violent, their behaviour will make you deeply unhappy. Why would I want that in my life?

Often, those billions come off the backs of exploited workers (eg Amazon, Apple (eg Foxconn)), tax evasion (less money for social support programmes) etc. The wealth is not being distributed in a fair way. Does one person need SO MUCH money when many ordinary people are struggling? It's more money than they could ever spend. Especially when that wealth is being accumulated by exploiting others eg unreasonable/unsafe working conditions

Yes. I was at a very low time in my life when this guy kept trying to persuade me to have a baby with him. I was in no position to care for a child. He knew this and tried to take advantage. I pointed out to him that I couldn't care for a child and he just said "oh, you'll find a way". WTF???? Urgh!!!

I swear the guys I dated were really keen on making babies. I have ZERO desire to do so. One was very persistent. They don't care about the welfare of the children at all, they just want to reproduce. It's pretty horrible, nauseating in fact. It baffles me that they literally couldn't care less about the child's welfare. Very strange to me that women are depicted as being desperate for babies; in my experience, it's men.

If anyone is in the UK, many areas have a free STD postal service. Google your area and if it's available, they should have a website where you can order a free postal STD test kit. n.b. the postal kit isn't exhaustive and you may need more in depth testing, depending on your history.

Agree and I would add: iirc many deaths from EDs are due to suicide, not specifically the direct effects of starvation, illustrating how depressing and debilitating living with an ED can be the "less salt is healthy" is not as healthy as claimed. Unless you have a condition where your doctor has specifically advised you to keep a low salt diet, low salt is NOT healthy for the average person. We need salt to function. You could look up “female athlete triad” as a starting point or "(secondary) amenorrhea" and osteoporosis or "hypothalamic amenorrhea". Many bodybuilders/fitness influencers essentially have eating disorders, but they don’t openly acknowledge the ED. Many of the symptoms Stephanie described are very similar to those in some restrictive EDs. I find it appalling that so many men encourage women to have to fit a certain “look” in order to be acceptable, regardless of the health consequences. It’s particularly problematic in the fitness industry. The physical and mental effects of eating disorders or extreme restriction are horrendo…

I also agree it's a misnomer. FDS has helped me to come to the conclusion that I DON'T want to date men. I would not rule out a unicorn if one appears, but other than that I'm not dating men anymore. FLS: Female Liberation Strategy

and sometimes "better' means no man at all, that is the preferable option if the only men available make your life worse. Better to be alone than in a bad relationshit.

I’d never mentioned it when I did date, but your post did remind me of a guy I dated. His idea 100%, I had literally never expressed any interest in cooking before: he offered to pay for me to attend an expensive cookery course at a very well known Michelin starred restaurant, as a gift. I didn’t end up taking him up on this offer and thought no more of it. Years later, now after finding FDS, I suddenly thought of this “gift” and realised IT WAS NOT A GIFT, he just wanted me to cook professional…

Men of any social class or profession can be LVM. Having a respected job, lots of degrees or being wealthy DOES NOT equal HVM. There are plenty of abusers who work as doctors, lawyers, bankers and there are plenty of very wealthy men who think they can do whatever they want to people (women) because of their money or status. These types can be even more dangerous because they are more adept at manipulation and deceit. Not to mention, they realise their status affords them a certain level of trus…

I don’t need a man to take me out on dates, or “want me” etc. I’d really like to be left alone by men. I no longer trust that they believe women to be more than sex toys/domestic slaves. The misogyny in society is so pervasive on every level, people don’t even notice it because it’s the norm. I’m not convinced that allowing a man into my life will improve it. Being alone is better than dealing with the additional bullshit. At first I was a little sceptical about FDS and I used to be naive and th…

Being a successful and highly educated woman reduces your options of men. As with most men, very few doctors are HVMs. PSA: Having a certain title or profession does NOT ensure a decent personality. There's just as many creeps, perverts, abusers and weirdos in medicine, they're just better at hiding it/better manipulators/more devious. I am not joking.

Does he do or say things to dent you confidence? These can be very subtle if you're not looking for them. e.g. you're really pretty, but only when... It could be in relation to your looks, your intelligence, ability, anything. A genuine loving partner will try to encourage and nurture you to be a better version of yourself, not make you feel small/worthless/insecure. A good place to start is to read the methods PUAs use and look out for those. See also "gaslighting"
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/03/21 08:47 PM

If you have to resort to attempting to trick women into dating you, there must be something seriously wrong with you. Do these guys think we don't notice their bullshit? Any sign of PUA behaviour is an automatic no from me. Instead of trying to manipulate and play games with people, why not try being a kinder person/working on your personality/quitting porn/getting therapy? This will directly benefit you AND make you a more attractive person. They seem to think they need bigger muscles or more £…

https://www.insider.com/uighur-activists-mass-rape-chinese-men-xinjiang-2019-12 This goes beyond only abusing women, they want to eliminate the Uighur people to "promote social harmony" by throwing Uighur men into prison camps and trying to get Han men (majority Chinese ethnic group) to have children with Uighur women (minority Chinese ethnic group). It is the CCP's method of controlling the population and staying in power. They are trying to eliminate the Uighur people

I have serious doubts about even considering a richer man bc I'm not convinced having a man is worth it, let alone having a poorer man. It's a non starter. Why would I want to make my life worse? Being alone is preferable, unless a unicorn comes along.

Not needed and not wanted. Even their £££ are unattractive. These type of men will target women who are less financially stable/less conventionally attractive/have low self esteem/ESPECIALLY younger women. THE MEN KNOW THIS and deliberately prey upon weaker women. It is music to their ears to learn that a woman is insecure/doesn’t know their own value. They will go to great lengths to manipulate, by “showing affection” by subtly chipping away at her self esteem so she thinks she can’t do any bet…

Huge imbalance in power dynamic that is almost certainly exploitative. I doubt she receiving nearly enough $$$ for the sexual services he expects. The price of some small trinkets is nothing compared to what he’s getting out of the arrangement. He knows it and is taking full advantage of it because she is young and inexperienced. (Most) men are cheap and most women (esp pickmes) significantly undervalue themselves.
