Yes, despite the pedestal they are put on and the growing disparity in the western world; it still very much sucks to be born a female in many part of Africa, Southern Asia, and the Middle East. Worked on a all male submarine for years, didn’t realize how peaceful it was until I got back into the civilian sector and worked with females for the first time since boot camp. The unnecessary drama, the snide comments, and weird need every female older than 25 had to attempt to mother me in some capacity was just strange, foreign, and stupid to me.

I’m gonna be completely honest. One time in high school I made out with 3 different girls in one day and felt like a king. Imagine having hundreds upon thousands of people who are attracted to you and are actively trying to sleep with/date you; and a good percentage of that group can and will just take care of you. Only when we do open up, you see us as weak. Only when we’re not the sole breadwinner, you seek a more viable mate. Don’t do it. Psychologically speaking it will change the way they see you. They cannot help this, it is not a choice and is supported by data.
