2	Does anyone else here have a Captain who doesn't believe in marriage? I don't feel that marriage would provide me with security or status. There's nothing to be gained for me from being a Mrs as opposed to a Ms. I don't see it as security, either, as I'm perfectly capable of supporting myself. 2	Just a thought... Okay, so fair warning, I am childfree, so I'm leaving the children aspect out of my perspective. I went to college late, in my mid-20's. I didn't finish my bachelor's until right before I turned 30, and now I'm 34 and working on my MBA. However, those were accrued 12+ years ago before my LTR with my current SO. From what I've gathered from reading that sub, there isn't much interest in women past the third date (or second, to hear some tell it) if she doesn't "give it up", and LTRs seem to be avoided, and forget about marriage.
