Some people want to give their children the best opportunities take a LOT into consideration when seeking a wife or potential wife. Men who think about shared goals, a shared lifestyle, and how they want their kids to be reared think about a woman's status. For example, it's easier to get into a college if your parent went there. Short-term relationships are different.
