"That person made a mistake." That's all that happened. Instead of getting angry at an entire age group, or an entire race, or an entire gender. Instead of feeling disrespected, impatient, hurt, angry. "That person made a mistake." Once you are truly liberated you can see things from this perspective.

It's just the truth. The world is pretty messed up but participation is 100% optional :-)

I think it's more of a veil that exists between you and others. You are ABOVE their petty problems and animalistic desires. Even if you have felt BELOW. I can't really explain it but it requires a long time spent truly doing your own thing. You have to heal from everything and build from there.

Happiness is so easy if you avoid relationships. I feel enlightened into some sort of secret. Now I see why it's called monk mode

I think by keeping your body and mind fit and active, you are 90% of the way there on being able to care for yourself up until you die. While you are young, make preparations: keep your house decluttered and easy to get around, get all daily functions such as cooking and cleaning down to a simple routine. Get to know your neighbors and always be friendly and helpful with them. Be proactive about caring for small health problems as they arise, keep good medical coverage, use the same healthcare t…

I understand the sentiment and am tempted at times to do this but $50,000 in not worth losing all your assets over. If you can rent your place out instead of selling you get income for your adventure and still have your equity. I'd start there if I were you. Especially if you plan to still enjoy beer and reefer on the road bc that's a great way to blow through some cash quickly

Because if everyone stopped living and growing as a human, and gave up on having a joyful fulfilling life simply because of the world being fucked up then we might as well all end it right now.

Keep good health insurance coverage and consider adding long-term disability to your policy for home nursing care if it comes to that. Keep your family (siblings, nieces, nephews, etc.) in your life. Be friendly and thoughtful with your neighbors. Find a medical practice near your home that you trust and make them your regular health care team. Take care of medical issues early and often.

That is a fucking horrible idea. Do you have any idea how much time and energy it takes to raise a child? I have one, and I'll fully admit, they are life vampires. At least if there are 2 parents (even if separated) the responsibilty is shared. To take on a child 100% alone, is really dumb.

You look like a perfectly normal, decently attractive guy. Your hair is way too long on the sides though

If it makes you feel any better, research shows that the fat dog will die sooner than that skinny one

It is those times of peace that truly confirm who we are as a person. The music we listen to when no one else can hear. The thoughts we have when there's no need to put them in words. That feeling that we don't need to explain or justify a single thing. It's so liberating, and most people are too busy dealing with significant others (or the search for...or the fallout from) that they don't experience this. At all. It's not like you can just get there after a weekend either. It takes months to ge…

Well I was about to say "people don't do that" but on second thought, I have been in countries where people do straight up laugh at you, such as the Netherlands. Again, fuck those douchebags. Just mind your own business and listen to music or podcasts. If it's possible find someone you trust and see if they can reassure you that you are normal. Maybe even go talk to the campus mental health professionals just to have someone's unbiased opinion. And tell them about your struggles in class, maybe …

Is it ok for me to answer as a female (sympathetic to MGTOW)? You have anxiety and these intrusive thoughts are not reality. People are not judging you (good or bad) and they are just living their own lives. Even if someone looks at you and appears to laugh/frown whatever, it is not because of you, it could be for a million other reasons. And drinking is only increasing the anxiety I am sorry to say. So if you need to hunker down for a while to break the drinking habit, do it, and if you need to…
