This might be quite unpopular, but here goes. 'Boys will be boys' is a phrase which can be harmless, such as rough-housing. However from working in schools I've seen it used in detremental ways against boys. Used by teachers as reason to not intervene in bullying, or give emotional support to boys who need it. Woman here, and I fully agree and hate fast fashion. One problem that some of you may not be aware of from the female side is that there aren't a lot of options in regard to good quality clothing (I can only speak for the UK). Devils advocate: lots of couples don't share money and in those cases the point is valid. If one partner works part time and cleans, looks after kids etc, and the other works full time and does not, yet they don't share money - the part timer is essentially doing the cleaning work for free. This isn't a gender issue anyway, it's a sharing the housework fairly issue. Gender shouldn't be a factor here.
