Same here, this has always been my biggest issue. For some reason I’ve always tried to put forth an aura of “it’s ok, I’m not creepy, I’m not just trying to sleep with you, you can be comfortable around me”. I hate it and I wish I didn’t always revert to that, but I do. I have this extreme mental block against turning a conversation flirty, because deep down I’m terrified of coming off as intimidating or making the girl uncomfortable.

This is exactly my problem. I have no issue at all talking to girls I’m not attracted to, or even girls I am attracted to but not in a flirty situation. At a bar or something, as soon as I start talking to them, I feel this overwhelming pressure, like I’m playing a game that I suck at, and she’s the judge. I know the key is to just talk to hot girls the same way I talk to girls I’m not attracted to, but that’s so much easier said that done, when you’re there in the moment and you’re attracted to…

I’m thinking maybe an honest, “Hey I’m ___.... I don’t really have a good opener, but you look like the extroverted type so I’ll let you ask me anything” Thoughts? Or maybe that’s not “taking charge” and will come off as weak?
