In the beginning of my (now over) long term relationship I really thought my bf was incredibly handsome and felt strong attraction to him in every way, even tho he'd be probably considered average (he was def not fit while I normally feel attracted to toned people but I really really loved his body). That lasted for years, basically until quite a bit of problems, totally unrelated to his looks or the way he dressed, started accumulating to the point I couldn't take it anymore, I was no longer im…

I think it goes back to seeing women that have had sex as "tainted". I feel like, expecially on social media, you can get horribly slut shamed because of your body count. Because of this, I also think that it wouldn't be a topic I'd talk about before I feel really comfortable and safe in a relationship, you don't know how your partner will react because you don't know their view on body count; for some people anything more than 1 could be too much and they'll make you feel humiliated

I'm sorry but this is the most scientifically foul statement i could ever read. Get used to variety? What should this mean? I think it has nothing to do with your body getting used to it (and also think there are no scientific bases to this), it's more about your values and your view of sexuality. I wouldn't define people who sleep around a lot as polyamorous, since most poly ppl follow strict self-imposed rules, mostly shared with all ppl they have a relationship with. As the comment you were r…

In my experience it is quite hard for women too to find a partner in that situation. I'm in my 20s and live a life similar to yours, except I go to university (great place to get to know people). I definitely think that going out and getting on dating apps are the main way you can get to know people but my experiences weren't that positive; clubs are full of people looking for flings while I'm the long-term relationship type, dating apps are full of people looking for sex (not all of them! but s…

For me, and in general for all my female friends, chemistry is the most important thing; it could be because, thanks to my studies, I will find a financially secure job that will make me able to support myself, but the only thing I want in a relationship is to be with someone with whom I can share passions and quality time. Shared principles and interests are what I care about the most, along with mutual trust. If the man I'm with is a person that I can respect (and that's all based on his actio…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
