See, you totally forgot the part where I said "without twisting it". Not accepting a compliment is one thing, twisting it to weaponize it against the one who gave the compliment is another thing.

I remember seeing people doing """blackface""" or "Asian fishing" without any bad intention getting cyber bullied and receiving death threats and attacks on their privacy. How is that okay to go that far for some make up

Well you have to take into account that the terms are discussed before the child is born. The mother, with her right to abort, know that the child is fatherless. It is now up to her to decide wether or not she can support this child on her own. I know that abortion is costly and not really a thing you wanna do for women, so at the very least the father should support the cost of an abortion.

Nature do a lot of horrible things, it doesn't legitimate it. Just look at the torturous ways some animals kills other animals. Or animals killing babies of their own species for various reasons.

Well the reason I use the interrogative is because I'm not sure, but this is the first, the most and almost the exclusive results I have in Google. Even tho they mostly all agree with your lack of sample size argument. Anyway the point wasn't really to say if women dominate men in the army, but if the top x% of them can go to the army. Especially a modern one, with all the technological support and jobs that require less physical strength. Basically : is there women good enough. Some men are too…

First point, by not accepting the actual mysoginistic mindset some people might have in MRA. Openly contesting that instead of letting go paint a different picture for anyone reading in the sub Second point, you don't really have to solve it. I mean what matter is not for people to adhere to a community with also the downsides of it, and agreeing with 100% of the overall MRA opinion, but for people to care about men's right. Actually not saying you are MRA avoid the opinion that people might hav…

And even if women have it harder than men, it doesn't mean both don't suffer from their conditions. One having a better time than the other doesn't say one is privileged and one is oppressed, they can both be oppressed with a different weight. What is cringe in some MRA post is saying that women are actually the privileged ones. True they might have privileged in areas like in court or divorce but overall I won't say that the gender victim of that much sexual assault is privileged.

Yup, that's also a part of why I'm not in favor for my girlfriend to take the pills. Plus the side effects. But I always wanted to take on the contraception responsibility, so that's a big plus for me

I understand, giving abortion for women and not for men sounds really unfair, and it's only logical for me that it should be allowed if we allow abortion for women. I was just mentioning that since I am not in favor of abortion for both gender, the solution I would have to reduce the inequalities and just the issue in itself is better sex ed. Of course it won't solve the problem, but reduce it if people have the ability to aquire the maturity to enjoy a sexual life without the issue of a child.

I am not in favor of abortion for both genders. Fatherlessness is already such a big issue, and I don't think financial abortion would solve any of it. The real solution behind all of that is good sex education and be aware of what sex outside a relationship can cause. Or sex in an unstable relationship

That's a really accusative post right there. There is some stuff here I agree with, like the fact that it's super wealthy individuals having such a big impact on the mass that perpetuate things that hurt both women and men. But, you know, all of the concept of privilege based on your gender (the word privilege is important) is quite toxic. I have no issues with saying that in many areas of life, women are victims of inequalities. Yet this doesn't mean that mens in these areas are privileged, it'…

That's over restrictive, and becomes quite paranoid judging by the actual impact it has on the risk of sexual harassment. Why would we stop here tho, girls get harassed for wearing makeup, having a nice body or nice hairs, do we become an Islamic country to be "responsible"?

I'd agree with that statement in certain cases, but not at the gym. Would that also apply to the beach? Swimsuit there is pretty sexy right? There is practical reasons for what people wear in certain places, I think people should know the time and place to wear certain clothes, and at the gym, girls can wear gym stuff.
/r/MensRights11/08/22 02:37 PM

Man this is the gym, not the street. These clothes are just sport equipment, in a sport environment, are girls not allowed to wear there sport equipment now because people would sexually harass them?

Let's use that rhetoric a bit more. Criminals are more likely to be black, we have an overrepresentation of black people on prisons. They also commit way more non violent crime such as robbing. Therefor, it is totally justified to see them as criminals until proven otherwise, that can't be racist at all right? The data speak to itself and you should educate yourself. Yeah, it is not a good argument at all, and this is not fine to have this line of reasoning

That's to me quite the conspiracy. And honestly you don't need that to explain the issues, western culture is just designed to polarized people and create meaningless conflits for unreasonables reasons like gender, sexual orientation and so one. Just look at how polarized politics is in general, and how people react to the elections like its the end of the world. That's just the by-product of western culture

An age where the brain is fully developed doesn't tell me when an individual have the ability to consent. A person can indeed do that, a young person is more vulnerable, that's why it's a red flag, but every person that is in a relationship with a vulnerable person isn't manipulating that person. I am not from the US so both of those names barely ring a bell, so I can't really argue around these peoples since I don't know a thing about them. Maybe he abused his partner, maybe not, I can't tell
/r/MensRights29/07/22 06:53 PM

Why not 8 or 5? Not in puberty, do not have to cognitive ability to consent. Why not 10 or 11? Not in puberty too, also doesn't have enough knowledge about sexuality. Why 16 could be okay? Because in puberty and in age of knowing about sexuality. I mean, if 16 yo couldn't consent I'll have to say that my mother was raped by my father, got married, had 4 childs and are married for 25 years. Well nop, 16 years old can consent
/r/MensRights29/07/22 06:17 PM

/r/MensRights29/07/22 05:58 PM

/r/MensRights29/07/22 05:55 PM
-31

Well, as a child of the opposite case, the one in TwoXchromosome, I'll have to disagree here. Age difference is a red flag, it's not a prejudice by itself. A healthy family can appear in those cases and I have to say that my family experience seems way better than the average family experience. So yeah, look out for it, but do not assume a relationship is toxic only because of an age difference

There is also a small downside for women about this. They cannot identify themselves as worthy partners. I have this actually with my current girlfriend. Because I was taught a lot of values for being a good partner and achieve on doing so, I feel confident in my relationship and makes me a really stable partner. Meanwhile, as she doesn't have much insights on what constitute a good partner except maybe in a sexual way, she is unable to recognise her own worth as a partner, making the relationsh…

I come after the war but, to me, it's partly because I have the not so popular idea that abortion is immoral (not that I think it should be illegal tho) The other part is that the overturn is not a ban of abortion, it is allowing states to ban it where the majority want no abortions anyway. Finally, it's because men (and black women too where they had difficulties to have access to that privilege) became numb about this issue. I mean, when I see first waves feminism they fought for equality of gender in areas where there were a need to fight for equality of gender. MRA fight for issues around men's discriminations. They both fight for equality of gender but one focus on where women are victims and one where men are victims. And there are in both movement mysoginistic issues or mysandristic issues

Yes. Partiarchy gives the idea that males have the power when being male is far from the only criteria required to be in a place of power. Privilege gives the idea that some people, cishet white man, have an unfair advantage when in reality they don't. In some aspects they just have what everyone should have (the right to not be discriminated), in some aspects they just are discriminated as well. This is not a privilege to have basic humans right, the guilt isn't where it should lie

You are correct. Feminist's sub being bad doesn't excuse the bits of misogyny on this sub. still, on OP thread, she is talking about hatred against feminism, so in that case it is fair to bring that up. It's on the line of "why do you hate feminists", "because they ban men on sight"

I also am on both mens right and feminist subreddit, yet I feel that here, despite some obvious mysogynistic problems, we have it better than misandrist issues on feminist subreddit. But the subreddit is far from perfect, there is a lot of people just blaming women, when women doesn't have to be critisized at all as a gender, only the feminist movement. I've heard arguments saying it's felt as mandatory in order to have fair odds in the job industry. What are your thoughts?
/r/MensRights14/07/22 08:25 AM

You could argue that strictly speaking, equality isn't fair by definition since it doesn't account for the inequality of a situation. It is equality to give as much food to everyone, yet the starved man doesn't need as much as the anorexic man. Equity would be the non oppressive word, since it account for people in a position of difficulty

While I believe that in our current position, the privilege tend to be a biiit on the women side, I also believe it doesn't matter the slightest bit who is the most oppressed in society. We have inequalities on both sides and it's always unfair. I agree that we have to stop victimizing ourselves and pretend that the other gender have it easy and start to work on real solutions.

Do you forget the child in the equation? He is also a victim that has been punished for life. I know that the man should be able to decline responsibilities but the way it has been done is really bad.

Bisexuality is fine, but cheating isn't. Actually to be fair, I am yet to believe bisexuality is a determined sexuality like homosexuality. I mean, it's not because you like banana from birth that you can't ever like apples. You could totally "learn" to enjoy a sexual life with the gender you ate not attracted to initially. It's actually I believe a good explanation for why girls are more incline to bisexuality than boys. It would be that or just boys bisexuality being repressed the same way gay…

I've been a virgin for now 21 years and there is no shame in that. It's not even that I have no romantic relationship, I am actually in a relationship, but sex isn't something that should be as casual as that. Sexual pleasure should not be a mean for competition. This isn't even a goal for some. Yet this insult is directed toward incels mostly, people that actively want a girlfriend but can't, it's not saying that being a virgin is bad, it's saying that the other wish he wasn't yet he is, implyi…

Yes, traumatic event have influence in the sexual behavior of people. It is for example suggested that pedophiles are for most been victims of traumatic sexual assault when they were young. I agree with the beginning of your sentence. But no, no trauma required for people to turn gay. There is evidence of homosexuality connected to the development of someone in the womb, there is also just preference. People don't turn gay, otherwise trying to cure homosexuality by religious organizations would have been more successful, they weren't.

Well, the behavior was the key here. It was clearly intentional, she didn't just pass out on me. If a stranger man intentionally, even drunk, allowed himself to go rest on you, not pass out on you, I don't think I'm wrong thinking it was inappropriate. Yet I agree, it is not a sexual assault, but there were an attempt of something flirty, since he choosed to rest on you over the multiple other options.

Yet I've seen many claim that it would be actual sexual assault and would like to see what people think of what I believe would be one in my personal experience if I strictly follow the definition, the one that would say that a man putting his hand on a random girl's waist on the street would be sexual assault. That is indeed confusing. It is not something I experienced that badly but it wasn't a good experience for sure, yet it seems like the reason I do perceive it this way is because I am a man. Technically I could say that I was coerced to consent to all of this because not doing so could ruin my reputation. In any case, as you said it was a trivial violation and as much as I advocate for a bit more leniency in men's favor, I don't want to see that as a sexual assault. It's still fascinating how so…

I hope for having one time a middle ground between the two. I personally would love society to make it legal if enough justification (health, rape, dead fetus) after 8 weeks, and without justification before 8 weeks. I definitely also see the emrbyo as a human life, and that is indeed the majority of abortion happening in that stage, but at the very least it is already a step forward in my eyes

/r/MensRights26/06/22 11:20 AM

Why?
/r/MensRights26/06/22 06:47 AM
1

Well, for the latter, parenthood is the issue more than pregnancy itself. We need solutions for cases like that but I'd argue against allowing it here. And that's also super hard to justify legally. Note that it is different for misery. People in that situation just can't afford the medical needs during the pregnancy, that also include people in high dependency of hard substances. So the argument here goes beyond parenthood
/r/MensRights25/06/22 06:01 PM

I think we need a compromise between people that treat the fetus as a life, and those that does not. I was thinking about the point where chemical abortion cannot be performed anymore. And of course exceptions like : -Rape victim - Underaged pregnancy - Life threat - Living in misery - Non viable fetus - Maybe some that I didn't think of

I think that if you aren't confortable with your partner's style you just aren't meant for one another. Men experience here, my ex disliked me wearing clothes that are too casuals like shorts and sleevless t shirt. As it is something I like to wear, it does feel controlling to put boundaries here to be honest. Now being unconfortable with you partner's clothes preference is fine if both of you agree to some boundaries, if not, then you just aren't meant for one another

I agree, it is easy to see how gender could fail in the development of a child but the idea of race failing in a child woule be nonsensical. I think it show how important is a biological argument to have a reasonable claim about identity. Transgender do have that argument in the form of dysphoria. This is kinda correct tho, This is I believe all because men's value is based on his success and having a women (and for some having womens) is a way to increase their value.
