middle east 70s Kind of a foreign outlook. Middle east in 70s had its own problems but probably one of the most independent and secular era of region until emergence of islamic terror-which generally aligned with western interest. However not a particular era to point as an example of patriarchy, at least no more than world of 1800-1900s
