Ok. I am going to contact some attorneys. The customer service person wasn't really confident so they might cover it.

It would be way worse; speaking from experience. I just want to see my son and now my ex is playing games and got a TRO too just to be evil. I've to deal with her for about 16 more years...

Do you have kids together? If so, did the restraining order impact custody?

I don't understand that other guy that said that "you failed as a provider." Today, women can have careers as well, and it should not be just up to the men. Women in America are unfortunately mostly gold diggers. As a European, I can confirm that income isn't that important for European women (it's still better to have a secure job and make decent money, but it isn't the number 1 criteria). I made the same mistake. We had a condo together and than her mom bought a house we could move in. There w…

My lawyer filed the motion to set aside the final divorce decree. Then she got the same lawyer she had during our divorce and now she switched. Her new lawyer just told my lawyer. her new lawyer needs to be approved by the court or something like that. She didn't disclose it because I have been coerced/under duress into signing the agreement otherwise she would have claimed DV on me and also got me deported. She has some prove from me defending myself but I know that the cops would have arrested…

Thank you. Yeah, her finances/financial affidavit was never disclosed to me, I just saw it months later when I requested it at the courthouse. During tax return time I saw letters from 3 banks laying around that I didn't knew about, so I assume that there is substantial money on those accounts. My lawyer asked her old lawyer but never got a response. Now she has a new lawyer that we asked. Should we "supuena" the bank-accounts? Also, in about 2 months it will be 1 year of the final judgement. Do…

Her previous lawyer is the business lawyer of her mother. He works with wealthy clients, so I assume that he is good. He definitely was on his best "behavior" with her because he doesn't want to lose the business of her mother. We have 2 or 3 arguments of which each of them could allow the judge to set aside the final divorce decree (according to the statutes of the state).

Yes, that's what I thought (but didn't say). Are 3-4 hours realistic (hearing is 30minutes and 2-3 hours to review my case)? 7page motion is ready, maybe the new lawyer wants to make a few adaptions.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
