This only works VERY short term. The initial impression will undoubtedly get you past a lot of nonsense, but you drop the ball enough times and get comfortable enough to drop your game, and her shit tests will tear you apart, and once you've dropped in her eyes, it's much harder to regain the dominant position. To paraphrase O'Neil, women want you to ditch the boat, and you'll be inclined to do so, in time forgetting she became attracted to you in the first place because you were a fisherman. Wh…

Now that you mention it, I can't remember how I stumbled upon TRP myself. I've had an understanding of TRP concepts for about a decade that goes back to Tom Leykis, but I can't quite pinpoint when and how I came across TRP. Can you? P.S. This is not OP.

The problem, as I see it, is that there's different types of love and you're painting with a very broad brush. When love is discussed here it mainly deals with intimate love, as in a romantic relationship between partners. When you mentioned the successful people you know, you might have been thinking of a different type of love, or even if that isn't the case, I would bet that the particular type of love they exhibit isn't the intimate love I referred to earlier, but a different type: passion. …

Work on yourself, read, study, grow. Go into monk mode. In time you'll put yourself out there with hopefully a good sense of boundaries and self respect and you'll navigate social circles while maintaining frame. The anger dissipates with time as you learn that you can't be angry with women for being women. It's like being angry at water for being wet. You'd only be angry if you were told your whole life that water gave you warmth. The lies you've been told is the source of your anger, and in ti…

This reminds me of a parable by Buddha, in which he tells of a monk crossing a river. Upon reaching the other shore, the monk thinks to himself, "This raft has served me well, I will carry it with me." Now, there are various interpretations to this story, but the one that applies to this context is that the monk has confused the raft itself for an end, rather than a means. TRP is a toolbox that is meant to aid you in your path, but there is always a danger in glorifying TRP and confusing it for …

Over a long enough timeline, no one is purely alpha and no one is purely beta. Every action and reaction moves you in one direction or the other during each moment in your life, and the same holds true for each phase. To be specific, you might have fucked her silly earlier (alpha), proceeded to make decisive calls (alpha), and then that evening asked her how she and her friends saw you (beta). You might not think much of it, but the question shouldn't have been asked and although it doesn't coun…

Take it easy there mr knight. Moralizing? Is that how you took it? You can't see the practical downside to pursuing drug dealing as a business model? The above post is shitty and I called it so not because of any standard of morality, but because it's 80% bragging, 15% nonsense advice and 5% valuable information if you squint really hard and stretch for it. Now then, get busy reporting.

Wtf is this garbage. I'm surprised the mods let it slide. Assuming any of this is real, which I don't believe for a second, not only is it a rambling bragging post, but there's little to no knowledge to extrapolate from it, at best. At worst it's telling people to become drug dealers and play mind games with people who are in an altered state. Forgive me for not being impressed by your transcendental powers. Now fuck off, Shaman.

She was right. She cheated on you with an old fat loser? That right there is grounds to look down on her for being shit attracted to more shit. You don't stop and contemplate how the turd felt and why it ended up on the bottom of your foot. You calmly wipe it off and move on without a second thought, perhaps learning not to step in the same spot next time. Obviously the logistics of being married complicate things further, but you get my drift.

I think you'd be surprised how many men are willing to overlook cheating. People get used to their lives, and the thought of starting again is more terrifying than hamstering their way into accepting infidelity. These are often men with 0 abundance mentality left, if they had any to begin with. It's easier to hold on than to let go under such circumstances for them.

You're not in a position to change them or their minds. You think you can wizard your way into changing years of their lives' worth of conditioning through reason? You'll be in for a rude shock if you try. Ask yourself what you gain from fighting that battle and what you stand to lose. Instead, go with the flow and make it through the class with an awesome grade. You're not there to set people straight or to save them. You're there to focus on your future. From what I hear from other brazilians that isn't the case. If it's anything even close to the party scene that it's made out to be, Brazil is just as fucked as the U.S is, and even if you manage to find a good woman, if you bring her over she'll quickly adapt to the U.S lifestyle anyway.

You didn't fail a shit test. You dodged a goddamned armor piercing bullet. The fact that her mind was already on other guys tells you that it wasn't going to work out. You can let her or yourself pin this on you but the reality is that the relationship was already over. Whatever was said when you guys talked about it initially made little to no difference. I know it's hard, but in time you'll realize how liberating this period in your life will be. You'll grow stronger from it, and you'll be gla…

I enjoyed the article up until you mentioned that after all of his hard work he crawled back to his wife and she took him back. Yes, he worked on himself, and that's great, but ultimately he worked on himself with the goal in mind to win her back. That's not a man in control of himself, that's a man who lives by the rules his mate created for him. Outwardly he may be displaying the right behavior, but he hasn't truly internalized outcome independence or frame control. Unfortunately, it'll come c…

Hah, fairly amusing. I don't buy for a second that some of these girls aren't lying about their real count. Notice how none of them went above 10, except for the black girl AFTER the guy put down 15, and her number also happened to be 15? When he called her out on it, "oh yeah, with you it's 16." Okay lol. Thanks for the chuckle.

This is the correct answer. Yes, she doesn't respect you if you don't trust her, but she also doesn't respect you if you do trust her. Women are hypergamous by nature. Combine that reality with the fact that they abhor personal accountability. On a subconscious level, they understand this to be the case, and here you are trusting her ability to go against her nature and hold herself accountable? Naturally, they lose respect in the long run if you trust them as well. They inherently understand th…

Nobody owes you anything. The TRP community certainly doesn't. There's plenty of material in the side bar to get you started, and countless members who provide life changing advice. We don't need to figure out how to best reach people beyond what's already being provided. To overcome the challenge itself IS the path to self actualization and growth. If we as a community look to make it easier for others we rob them of those essential qualities: accountability, determination and discipline. We're…

The most important thing to take away from the shit test OP's gf gave him days later is to not take it seriously. Practically any response other than taking it seriously would have been better. Even walking out without a word would have worked better, despite your natural instincts. Within OP's particular context, something jokingly dismissive can look like this: Let her finish her presentation, and then give her a sly grin, smack her ass and sit her on your lap. Tell how her adorable she is, or…

This is straight up insanity. The only silver lining in this story that I can see is that with each outrageous bullshit incident moderate people get turned off just a tad more. Keep pushing them buttons and crying wolf, ladies, eventually no one will believe your nonsense and you'll be tuned out.

To add to wantonton's take on it, not only did she take a step back and learn to be more deceptive in the future, but the seed of resentment has been planted. You're operating from a position where you can "teach" her with words and superior logic. This is the wrong approach, unfortunately. She's not interested in a logical sparring match. She's interested in protecting her view of the world, and having you acquiesce to it. By you addressing her point of view seriously, you've a given her positi…

That line is made very clear when you next her. In other scenarios that don't call for extreme measures and you want to send a signal that her behavior is unacceptable, instilling dread or retracting your attention work wonders. Setting a boundary early on and remaining firm helps as well. Sometimes letting her know that she's either crossed a line or is dangerously close to doing so works as well. This final method is dangerous since she can and probably WILL test you and how you react makes al…

Flipping out is unnecessary, she wouldn't be worth that type of effort. Nothing gets in a girl's head more than a nonchalant, immediate dismissal. They can't stand the idea that they're not the center of your world. There's a twisted satisfaction for them in knowing that your anger comes from a caring place. When you take that away and move on immediately, it's devastating. The message is clear, she's not worth even a second of emotional instability. Fuck off.

Solid reminder regarding the power of simplicity. Today's men often feel compelled to elaborate their thoughts to the point of boredom (for others); largely, I think, out of a need to be understood with precision. This is fine sometimes, but simplicity is more efficient as a rule of thumb. By holding the cards closer to your vest, letting others react to your firm frame that is maintained by yes, no, and why, you maintain the position of power. My approach is this: action > yes/no/why > elaborat…

Like the guy above me pointed out, it's not necessarily a matter of a guy being a loser and that's why the girl cheated. It's nice to have that illusion because you hold on to the idea that if you maintain your frame, internalize the right approach and work on your shit, things will work out and your girl won't cheat. While doing these things does help, the reality of trp is that you don't have this control, not truly. If you believe you do, you're going to be disappointed. There will always be …

My major is cs - out of curiosity, can you elaborate a little more? I'm interested to hear what flags turned you away. A friend of mine was hired by yahoo about a year ago straight out of the university and his starting salary is pretty impressive. There's far too much content -and honestly it comes across as rambling - for this post to be taken seriously. You need to distill your thoughts into their essence, and share what's important with us. Dread not only works, but is absolutely necessary in an LTR. You need dynamic push and pull, and dread is an effective way of maintaining this process. Obviously, abuse of dread will backfire, but if done correctly, it can be an effective tool in your arsenal for maintaining a stable relationship.

Good job, OP. Everyone's solid with their input, so I'll add a few cents to another part of the equation. I'd refrain from asking for her input in the future. Part of "leading" is being assertive and confident in your decision. If your decision was to put her in her place and establish a boundary, then you absolutely CANNOT ask for her input afterwards to gauge her reaction. Not only does this diminish the weight of the experience and the boundary you've created by making it seem impulsive, but …
