I also disagree with your last paragraph. There are plenty of men’s rights issues, but by and large we got the better end of the deal right now. It’s not a zero sum game where we need to lose for women to gain, but we have a long way to go before women’s equality can be truly actualized. As far as women being allies in men’s rights issues, they.’the probably asking that of you right now. Step up here and set the tone. Now, of all times, is not the time to be impartial to these issues. Those 60 y…

None of us are better until all of us are Jimmy2e. Be sure of that. As for feminist.. be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water. The feminists you see on display are the ones that inspire outrage. It gets the views and clicks. I live in a major metropolitan city that is remarkably more left than the cities adjacent. Here there are a lot of feminists (men and women) pushing for equal rights. There’s no vitriol for men. That’s on the fringe. By acknowledging that extreme “anti-men” …

Oh my bad. I would agree with you on that! There are a lot of systemic injustices against men. IMO though it seems less pressing. You know what I mean? By trying to address that now we’re necessarily halting the relevant discussion of women’s rights. I could be wrong here, but my conviction right now is to help set women up with their rights and address our own afterwards. Call it chivalry. I’m likely biased by my upbringing. I have a lot of important women in my life right now.

But to base this as a men’s rights issue is backwards. You don’t have to set one movement backwards to progress another one. There are many important men’s rights issues yet to be addressed en masse. You gotta pick your battles man.

This is false equivalency. The man doesn’t not get equal say in if the woman keeps the child or not. THAT is sexist. It’s a claim that says, despite a nine month period of time where a woman will likely have to leave her job, change her lifestyle, possibly develop postpartum depression, the decision doesn’t lie in your hands. Insane. Men do not carry the same risks as women in childbirth. Women can die. Women get their butthole cut to the base of the vagina regularly to facilitate birth. Some wo…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
