Sound like basically an ingroup-only version of attribution bias -- my decisions are understandable reactions to my surroundings; everyone else's are based on their innate nature.

And aren't most dick picks motivated by flirting? Not sexual gratification or to cause humiliation, alarm or distress. Flirting, proving how big my dick is, asking for medical advice, etc, people who want to send dick pics seem like they can get around that law.

That's what happened to me too.

Also if a villain shoots one of his own guys to prove how badass he is, it's always a man who gets killed, like if a bad guy is taken hostage and his friends all shoot him, or the villain is momentarily pissed off and kills a henchman, it's a man. Also you could never get henchmen that way. People join gangs for protection, and criminal orgs value loyalty, which is a two-way street. They don't just kill insiders.

Mimi Bobeck on Drew Carey and Sandra Kaluiokalani on Superstore (I think, I've only seen a couple episodes of Superstore).

Possibly a bit in Sir Mix-a-Lot's ode to the hos of Bremerton, Washington, "Bremeloes". Great song, can't find the lyrics though. It's mainly about how Bremerton's women are fat and smell bad and are generally awful, but I think it may also mention them being poor too. He makes it clear the other things are reasons not to woo them, but I think poverty comes up too.

Yeah, in a lot of ways she's a very stereotypical woman. She's obsessed with fashion and shoes, she's boy-crazy, she's overwhelmed by her period in a sitcommy way. But all the male characters on that show are intense male stereotypes too -- Roy's the stereotypical slacker, Moss the nerd, Douglas the alpha lothario.

We have the protagonist, an ordinary woman with an unremarkable personality/life: with a a husband who loves her (maybe kids too). This is definitely not a part of romances. "No cheating" is a core rule of the modern genre. If there is any adultery in your romance novel, you're gonna get trolled and one-starred right out the gate.

/r/menslib has gone private! Huzzah! The king has temporarily slain himself! I don't think they went in private in protest until after reddit had already given in to their demands either, so that's pretty hilarious.

Do it if you want to, not just because you think he deserves it or others will judge you for it. But also think honestly how you might feel a couple decades from now, when you are on your deathbed -- if you think then that you will regret not talking to him, then you should do it now even if it makes you uncomfortable. If you'll be happier having not talked to him, then don't.

I saw a similar difference in my niece and nephew, less so in the amount of attention than in the nature of it -- my nephew would get my attention if he wanted something, but my niece gets attention for seemingly no purpose save being at the center of attention. Like saying "watch me dance to this song", then dragging it out as long as possible, changing songs, stopping partway through if you look away to demand you pay more attention, etc, anything to be the center of attention as long as possi…

Seems likely the SC will overturn it though (the male-only part of it) in an upcoming case too.

It has no etymological connection to "man". It's via late Latin from Greek, literally ‘madness’, from mainesthai ‘be mad’.

Yeah, I think a lot of crappy dads hook up with crappy moms, but the crappy moms get custody when they inevitably break up. So you can't really compare single-mother households with single-father households.

She got them intoxicated to take advantage of them sexually, and also financially, so it was both rape and robbery.

I thought schools just had to have an equal number of extra-curricular activites for boys and girls, not allowing both into any of them?

"8% of prisoners are women. that's about 8% too many" So the proper ratio of female prisoners is 7.36%?

Lol, forgot which subreddit I was in, was waiting for an explanation of binocular vision dysfunction and how that makes Magic Eye posters impossible for some people. There are dozens of us! Dozens!

Honestly I think it's way more than half. Certainly more than half of comments are by women. I think there are more transgender men there than are cisgender men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
