Thanks for the link. I bookmarked it for research purposes. I plan on shedding some light on this stuff and hopefully getting some changes made.

That makes sense. You seem to have found a good middle ground. Edit: I meant to say that it's fine if a woman only wants casual sex. I'm not here to shame those women. What they do is their yes. What I'm talking about is the women who go around stealing other women's men or do that kind of stuff and then complain that they can't find someone to settle down with.
/r/MensRights23/06/22 08:52 PM

Very true. I was with a guy whose mother was clearly a narcissist and She chased men like there was no tomorrow. She wondered why no one would settle down with her which was ironic. She was probably the most vain and self-centered person I've ever met and she wondered why she was single.

Yes, I do know that unfortunately men are not used to getting compliments and being treated nicely. It's really sad. This is why I try to do that whenever I'm around my male friends or someone I'm dating. I know that they're not used to hearing it. People forget that they're also human. They tend to think that men don't have feelings and don't need emotional support because Society has conditioned us to believe that men are never supposed to be vulnerable.

I'm in America and you're not wrong, my friend. The double standards are amazing LOL. I don't understand that no uterus, no opinion thing. Well, you didn't get pregnant all by yourself honey, he helped you put it there. It's also his baby and he should get an opinion on it. I feel like if they don't want the baby, they should have the baby and give it to the father who does want it. I feel like if they go to get an abortion, they should have to have the father's consent. That is if they even kno…

I found a can feel very isolating because they expect you to feel the way they do and then when you don't, they want nothing to do with you. It makes it hard to make friends but I'm not going to change my standards for someone else. If they don't want to be friends with me that's fine because honestly, I wouldn't want to be friends with someone who could think that way.

That's a very good take on that. I tend to try to dress not necessarily conservatively but not with everything hanging out. There's a difference between being feminine and showing a little bit of skin and then just being a hoe. A lot of those women like you said, don't seem to realize that men don't like that kind of stuff. Would I be correct in assuming it's because you think that if she would dress that way, basically she's inviting anyone so if she would throw herself at a dude like that, is …

Thank you for sharing that. Now I feel better because I'm 39 and I've only been with 4 people in my entire life and those were all partners that I was in a relationship with, not casual sex. I don't understand people who cheat. If you're that unhappy that you feel like you need to go outside of your relationship, just end it. I've never understood people who have casual sex either. To me, the words just don't go together. I don't like them I guess because I associate them with low moral characte…

All of this. It's okay to have standards for what you want in a partner and to leave if they're not the type of person you want to be with. I've never understood women who dress like that anyway, it's like they're screaming for attention because they're insecure. Then they stare daggers at you for looking at them. It's like, don't dress like that and expect men not to look at you. It's seemingly okay for women to have standards but if men do, suddenly they're controlling.

You're not a failure. We can't blame all our choices on her parents and you can't control everything that your kids do. Just because she turned out to be a feminist doesn't mean that you failed as a mother.

Exactly. It seems like they think that anytime we are nice to men or treat them with respect, it's because we're desperate. We're doing it to impress them. No, it's just that we know how to be nice. I find it so ironic that they're mad at these same men for not wanting them when it's their attitude that's pushing them away. They don't see the irony. Edit: I hit post too fast. Then they hate us for actually being able to keep a relationship because we know how to be nice and respectful. It kills …

As a woman, I never expected it. I also returned to the favor. While I agree that sex should never be transactional, I feel like if you're going to expect someone to do that, you need to be prepared to reciprocate. People seem to forget that men are still human and still like to be treated with love and respect. Far too often, they don't even get treated with kindness. It's really sad. I always try to remember that whoever I'm dating is still human and whether you guys want to admit it or not, y…

I deal with it all the time. Oh, you must be a pick me girl. Meanwhile they're the ones who are single because they can't hold down a relationship. No surprise given their attitude. They're mad at the very same men that they are pushing away because of this attitude. It's ironic that they don't see that they are the problem. They're Their Own Worst Enemy.

As a woman, I completely agree with this. People don't realize how hard men have it and then on top of that, they are taught that they need to keep it to themselves. If they don't, they are called weak. Yet these women who actually get it and try to support these men are accused by their own gender of being "pick me girls". It's like no, we've just learned how to be supportive. It's not our fault that you're single with 20 cats because you haven't learned this.

I work and my boyfriend is a stay-at-home Dad. I can't tell you the number of times that he's told me that this stuff has happened to him. Even his own family members treat him like he's incompetent. Especially his sister. I have had to talk to her and tell her that he's perfectly capable and to back off. I don't worry about my son at all while he's with his dad. If anything, I know he's busy playing.

I wouldn't doubt it because the irony was not lost on me that Evan Rachel Wood and Amber Heard our friends and so are Johnny Depp and Marilyn Manson. Now they're both facing allegations at the same time. I don't think that was a coincidence. I guess they figured take down Johnny Depp at the same time as Marilyn Manson. I feel like they should face jail time for attempting to ruin their lives. All this is is them being bitter because their relationships didn't work out. I understand that breakups…

This is true. I'll admit that I ended up calling CPS on my neighbor because I could hear her not only hitting her kids but screaming things at them like she hated them and she regretted ever having them and she hated them because they look like their father. This. I know that my son's father is a perfectly good and capable father. In fact, he can be more nurturing than me sometimes. It irritates me that people think that men aren't as good of caregivers as women are. I don't worry about my son when I leave him in his father's care because I know he'll be just fine. OMG, I did not know that Evan Rachel Wood and Amber Heard were friends. I know that Johnny Depp and Marilyn Manson are friends. Makes sense now though. I know that abusers don't abuse every single partner that they get with but at the same time, I agree with you, it does make the accusations harder to believe. I will say that this is because usually, an abuser's behavior fits a pattern where they do the same stuff in almost every relationship. They only abused people that they don't think there …

I'm a domestic violence Survivor at the hands of a man but I have done the research and learned a lot about it and you are absolutely correct. 1 in 7 men are a victim of domestic violence. Also, it's actually true that women are more likely to perpetuate domestic violence, especially in the forms that this talks about. Trying to get your kids taken away from you by making up stories of abuse or just any crazy story they can think of and financial abuse.

I understand that part but I also feel like when you get into a new relationship, you need to prioritize your relationship with your partner over keeping your ex happy. So it's okay for them to reduce a man to his genitalia or a cringey nickname for it what if someone treats them the same way, they're terrible. I'm female and I've been in the sub for a while because I actually want equality and I support men's rights. That stuff over there makes me want to puke. I think it's so laughable how they don't see the irony.

I just went and looked and there was a meme about someone saying that women who go on dates for free food or trash. They responded by saying I don't care what you think. So basically they just admitted that yes, they are doing this but they don't care what people think. Can you say entitlement?

I know right, it's okay for them to do all of this to men but the minute it's thrown back at them, it's men are bad. They say they want equality but they really don't. They just want to be able to do whatever they want and keep treating men the same way they claim they don't want to be treated.

I love how he wants to say that people are stupid for calling his girlfriend a rapist. Yet he did not put in the original post that they had had a prior conversation about this since she was given prior consent. Nowhere in there did he say that then he wants to act like everyone is stupid for not knowing this. I saw that post and obviously he had a problem with it or he wouldn't have posted it.

I agree that the term hero is ridiculous. It's just called being a parent, it's what you do if you're a good parent. It just seemed like he was insinuating that his wife is a better mother because she has support by being with him. I just didn't appreciate the insinuation that single mothers are not as good of mothers because we're doing it alone. At least that's how it came across to me.
/r/MensRights18/04/22 01:57 AM

Not in all cases. I'm a single mother due to fleeing domestic violence, it's not that I don't want him to have a relationship with his father, it's that I had to leave for my own safety. I don't think it's fair to group every single woman into that category. I got into this sub because I'm a huge supporter of men's rights but I'm getting tired of seeing all women being grouped into the same category because there are few out there who are bitter.
/r/MensRights18/04/22 01:04 AM

Nobody said anything about your wife not being as good because they label single mothers as Heroes. Stop projecting your opinions onto people who didn't ask for them. I'm a single mother due to fleeing domestic violence, are you going to tell me that I'm not as good of a mother because I don't have the support that your wife does by being with you? I really don't appreciate the insinuation that single mothers are not as good of mothers. That was really uncalled for.
/r/MensRights18/04/22 01:02 AM

Thank you. Usually I'm a big supporter of men's rights but I'm a single mother due to fleeing domestic violence and I did not appreciate his comment. Not all of us are doing it because we got dumped or what have you. It's not fair to act like we are not as good of mothers just because we're doing it alone. You're right in what you said there were, not all of us have the same resources available to us. Edit: typos

You're welcome, I know it's not all women you have a problem with. I can understand your reaction, she traumatized your kids and there's no coming back from that. I'm a mother and if someone ever did that to my son, they would never see me or him ever again. I'm glad that the courts took it seriously and gave your kids a restraining order. I hate this as well. While there can be instances where it can be an unhealthy relationship, this goes both ways. I have seen it with fathers and daughters as well. That being said, I pay attention to how a man treats his mother because it's a good indication of how he will treat his partners.

That's terrible. It's also like old people in my country who demand that you stand up. Normally I would give my seat up to an old person but I'm disabled. I have Muscular Dystrophy and me trying to stand up on the bus even with those things that you grab onto, it could equal death for me because my ankles are weak. That's a great analogy. No, my needs and wants were NEVER considered and his response to me wanting appropriate boundaries with his ex was "You need to stop being jealous of my ex wife. I have kids with her and I have to talk to her". Apparently me asking him to stop talking to her about anything other than the kids was too much to ask. I can relate to this because my my ex had three kids with his ex-wife and that thing that was said about being in a number three position is really true. You're not an equal partner, you're expected to love their kids like your own and if you don't, somehow you're a monster. You're also expected to financially support these kids that aren't even yours. You try to act like another adult who loves the children and even step into a parent role but the minute you do that, it's your overstepping. The…

Not only does she come from a rich family and she doesn't need the money, but she had convinced his daughter not dead have anything to do with him because apparently his house wasn't good enough for her. I'm glad I stumbled on this post because I'm actually doing research on this very topic. It was sparked because my friend is going through this right now. I think it's fucked up how the laws are biased against men and here in Florida, there is no forgiveness program for back child support. I have a question about that because I have a buddy in a similar situation. He is paying back child support. I know this may be a stupid question but when it's back child support, even though it goes to the Department of Revenue, did they still pay it out to the ex even after the child turns 18? Or do they just keep it at the Department of Revenue?

I've read your post and I was like oh no, he's about to be disappointed. Unfortunately a lot of mothers don't spend the money on their children, at least not all of it. They call it child support because technically it is supposed to go to the child but they mean it's supposed to go to the care of the child. It really is divorced/separated support.

Actually I have. If you hadn't done anything, there's no reason why the police wouldn't tell you where she is. Even if she made it up, you clearly have some kind of charge for domestic battery against you and that's why they won't tell you. I'd be willing to bet money that she has a restraining order on you. Some women apparently haven't learned that it's not hard …

All of this. It never seems to occur to them that we know how to well, not be a bitch and hate men simply for being men.

I know, right. 😔

I was in one in 2020 and I was happy to see that they started extending services to men because that was not my first time in there unfortunately. They told us ladies that we may see men around and I was fine with that. I was like whatever, they need help just like we do. I thought it was sad that it was women only at first. I was happy to see that I started accepting people with pets as well instead of making them board them.

Wow, how do you not see the irony in your statement?! You hate men for existing and I'm sure say terrible things to and about them. You should take your own advice.

You're one to talk about leaving your mom's basement. With that attitude, you'll be alone forever except for your 30 cats. You should learn to not view men as the enemy because it might help you not to be such a bitter woman. Maybe then you'll stop hating men for wanting nothing to do with you because of your attitude. Maybe if you stop, you'll actually be wife material and have no reason to be so angry at men and at women like me who know how to be sweet.

Please take yourself back to the feminism and FDS subs. You seem to be lost.

Probably something mundane like that How dare you be a human and be in my space, you're a terrible person just because you have a dick. Your bodily functions are gross because you're a man. You're bad for existing because you're a man. These are the very same women who are mad at the men who want nothing to do with them because of their attitudes. They're cat ladies and the only dick they get is one they have to buy. They don't see the irony which is honestly laughable in a way. They hate women …

As a woman I'll say, feminists smh. They're mad at the men for wanting nothing to do with them because of their attitude. At the same time, they don't seem to realize it's their attitude keeping the men away. The lack of understanding of the irony is astounding. 🙄

I'm simply saying that in the State of Florida, a father has no rights until he establishes paternity through the courts. The mother retains 100% sole legal and physical custody until this happens. I just think that it's sad that even when the mother knows that this man is the father, she can use that against him.

Sounds like boyfriend's ex wife 🙄

Right exactly. But in the same breath they turn around and complain saying that they're not there for their kids and they don't pay for them, blah blah blah. They just want things their way.

It will definitely help your case. She's starting fights because she's bitter that they're no longer together.

I'm kind of going through the same thing. My boyfriend's ex wife does not abide by the custody agreement. We have been through hell and back trying to get the order modified. He has seen them maybe three times in the last couple of years because of her. Hugs. Edit: I read the rest of your post and I wanted to add that I think it's sad that bitter exes use the kids to punish the other parent. If you can get proof of her doing this, you can actually use it against her in court. It's called parenta…

That's true. I think they stopped recognizing that in 1997. I was with the same person for 18 years, lived together for 16 of those and when we split up, it was basically like oh well, you get nothing. We're going to treat it like this never happened because you weren't married on paper. I mean, I get that we weren't married on paper but still, I think it's a ridiculous law. If you live together with someone that long and act like you're married then it should be recognized. I'm a woman by the w…

Even as a woman I agree, I don't understand how a man just automatically has no rights if he's not married to the mother. That's the case in a lot of States until he establishes paternity through the courts. At least that's how it is here in Florida where I am.

This may sound weird but do you mind if I send this in a message to a friend of mine who is struggling? I'm not going to send him a screenshot or anything, I'm just going to copy it. I hate plagiarizing but it seems like exactly what he needs to hear right now.

Thank you for sharing this. Even as a woman, I know that men need support. Like you said, they're scared but they do it anyway. I try to support the male friends in my life by letting them know that it's okay to be scared and not be okay and that I'm here to listen. I hate how men are taught that they're supposed to shoulder everything and never complain. It's 2022, I think it's long overdue for that to change.

I'm sorry this happened to you. You're none of those things. You were harassed and that's not ok. Hugs.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
