Hire a forensic accountant if you're really truly worried. They will do a complete analysis.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. It sounds like you made the right choice for you. Her being nice is because she sees the light at the end of the tunnel and it makes getting through things easier when there is an end zone visible. If this is truly how she made you feel then you did the right thing for yourself. If you aren't sure about kids, then the answer is no you don't want them and it's a deal breaker for a lot of people.

Did you treat her poorly or make her feel seen and heard? Often the poor treatment is a result of how they were treated. Not always but maybe you need to do some introspection as to why you feel so guilty as if you could have been better to her. Being in love is a feeling. Love is a choice. Compatibilities are a choice. If it wasn't worth it to you to choose them everytime, then you need to make peace with your decision.

This is a normal part of divorce. It is called discovery where the marital estate is defined for equitable division of marital assets.

No, they go to bat for you. And make sure you don't get taken to the cleaners. Get one if you don't have one. They can find loopholes.

Love is a choice. I guess some people think it just strikes them and is kismet. That is lust. Lust is passionate and addicting. Choosing to love someone after that has worn off and investing into them is a choice and it is HARD. finding someone with grit that will weather life's storms with you is true love. They must choose it and so must you.

You might want to read a little on attachment theory and mindfulness. Admitting there is a problem is the first step so you're already there. Now you need to find some tools to help you implement the changes you want to see. You got this! Be kind to yourself, we are all constantly evolving.

I wish we could have afforded to do that. Thank you for the validation. We both contributed to the demise of the marriage but validation and support would have really gone a long way. Oh well, it is what it is. I wish him well.

I am sorry that was your experience. You deserve better. I truly hope that you find/have found it.

Woman here. Hormone dump is real and it takes about 2 years to regulate that. In my case, the stbxh let me take on the lion share of the work and I began to feel like a single mom inside of a relationship. I started to get resentful. I didn't communicate that effectively and it helped destroy the marriage. On top of that I felt used as I tried to give my husband everything he asked for and it wore me out. I had no time for myself, full time mom, full time job, and full time side hustle he wanted…

Until she realizes that it isn't reciprocated back. The couple can't just do what the man wants to do all the time. There is give and take.

We do exist. Unfortunately, we often get the male versions of what you're describing in women. Dealing with this now. I put everything into our marriage. I tripled his net worth and had a full on plan for retiring by 50 so we could do whatever the hell we wanted in retirement. It was never enough.

No affair so he swears. Just general unhappiness with being in a family unit. I will never probably know and I'm honestly not concerned with it anymore. Just scared for my and our baby's survival at this point. Thanks for the kind words!

This is insane, this is exactly how my stbxh is. Nothing I do (f) is enough and there's always something that I messed up or didn't put away right while having a full time job and being a full time mom and also running a business that he wanted to start. He's walking away from our family to pursue his own happiness. Its so odd hearing men talk about women doing this to them. I've been living with a man doing this to me for years at this point.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
