Well, I don't want to be so unavailable that she thinks I've lost interest. Also, I don't get to see her too often as she doesn't live near me. I just need to find the right amount of communication that isn't too much or too little.

Did she tell you that she was pregnant or did you go to the doctor with her and see the test results yourself? She might be lying about being pregnant to get you to support her. Or she might be pregnant with someone else's kid. Best to make sure before you proceed too far with this.

She pretty much wants the dogs and nothing else, but she wouldn't pay for them as she has no money. She somewhat implied (or I just inferred in my head) that she would not come after most of our assets if I let her take the dogs. It's somewhat complicated as she can't find an apartment or rental house with a fenced backyard to accommodate them so she wants to leave them with me until she figures it out. That's a good point too. Hard to say, I guess. Maybe she would take money for the dogs since she is deeply indebted and has basically no cash. Thank you for that. I think I'm more broken up over the dogs than over her, though I'm basically losing my only "friend" now.

I have family but not anywhere nearby and I'm not super close to them. As for friends, I've moved around a lot, but mostly I just don't know how to make or keep friends. I've never really had many friends in my life.

Good advice. Hard to implement not seeing her alone as we live in a house together. Though hopefully she can get a quick apartment and get her stuff moved out quickly so that I can have privacy and change the locks.

I agree. I've been reading TRP for the last year or so but obviously haven't applied it well or she probably wouldn't be leaving me. Just not sure how to find a good lawyer. I also have zero friends so I have no one I can go to for advice or support on this matter.
