Yea let me just blindly pluck these quotes from a 3 page summary (with no definitions, no methodology) of the original 44 page publication Considering you could not even be assed to link what you are quoting, I don't value how you think I cited things -- I've read the NISVS before, I googled his statements to find a pdf which had what I needed. Generally, the criticism is specific to the "1 in 4 women" statistic, but the definitions for made to penetrate/rape in the survey are the exact same wit…

Ok, but both "being penetrated" and "being made to penetrate" are forms of sexual violence/sexually victimize men, right? So having both of those statistics available is less misleading.

The post said “men are overwhelmingly responsible for sexual violence”. Your response used the NISVS to claim that sexual violence was perpetuated by women against men overwhelmingly. My reply is to point out that your source is widely criticized on here and to show that there are categories where men overwhelmingly perpetuate sexual violence against men. Of course if we break it down and only count “made to penetrate” as violence against men, that will have a higher proportion of women compared…

Oh, are we going to take everything in the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey at face value now, despite its flaws having widely been dissected here? 90% of the time I see redpillers mention this it's to mock it, I guess that's only the case when it reports about women though: In the U.S., 1 in 4 women and 1 in 26 men reported completed or attempted rape victimization at some point in their lifetime. This number is higher for specific groups. More than 2 in 5 American Indian or…

You gave me 0. 1 of your post is porn and the others are not about how "erotic" it is, which was your original claim
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/24 07:20 PM

Wow, it doesn't seem like she finds it erotic at all! So you are admitting you are wrong then and can't find any legitimate examples or evidence for your claim? That is cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/24 07:18 PM

Are you using a porn sub as evidence? lmao. I'm not going to defend some porn-brained bullshit -- some people find shitting themselves in diapers erotic. That does not mean its a significant portion of the population There are some men who absolutely idolize and look up to cheating. See the whole "ladies man/Don Draper" trope.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/24 07:10 PM
11

Your entire premise is wrong — cheaters do not ever actually regret their actions, to the extent where the relationship can be saved, whether it is a man or woman. It may appear more men “regret it” because in general, men and women cheat for different reasons. A male cheater will tend to act differently/more dramatically if caught than a female cheater, but in looking at their actions we can see that neither is truly sincere in their regret, which is why you should always break up with a cheate…

Women are more likely to be single parents. Children are expensive. Many of these women are left without support from the other parent. Therefore those women are more likely to claim assistance from government programs. a more socially accepted home management style is to have a woman stay home and a man work. This means more men work than women. This means more men are paying taxes, but this does not account for the work women are doing by taking care of and raising good children If you isolate…

I think it’d be fine to offer free tests, though maybe not mandatory, with the understanding that the tests would also be stored and run against the government’s DNA crime database. Why should murder or rape cases go unsolved due to unidentified DNA if the taxpayers are paying for a program that could address this problem? It’d solve two problems at once — paternity fraud and make crime solving easier. Also we would eventually hit a point where there is enough DNA on file that every persons pate…

Indians are common on Reddit (as it is a large English speaking website and India has many English speakers). You definitely see them when there is a post about India specifically on any default sub. I think there are more Indian men here because the big cities in India have huge gender ratio disparities (850 women per 1000 men in Mumbai, for example) and it leads to the type of hopeless thinking that men here tend to have.

I agree but a lot of young women also believe this about themselves. I think it’s somewhat based on observing “boys will be boys” (/r/justguysbeingdudes) type behavior and seeing it as a sign of immaturity. While this behavior is more noticeable it is not that significant in terms of maturity. Young women are still immature in the most significant metrics — for example, knowing what they want out of life and how to get there, their system of values, and their ability to assert themselves. These …

I read a book by an activist for the intersex community, they didn’t always get parental consent to change “abnormal” genitalia, like micro penises or enlarged clitorisis, because it was considered “traumatic” for the parents to know

You could make that claim about any group. “Parents are pretending to be happy because they are stuck with kids regardless” “married people are pretending to be happy because they don’t want to admit they made a mistake”. If anything single people have the fewest reasons to lie because their unhappiness will only affect themselves.

By saying “that’s feminism” in response, you’re implying that feminism is the reason men are not perceived as good enough. I disagree, and think there it is a broader worldwide issue that men are considered disposable and “not good enough”. If we look at non-feminist places like Russia/India etc, we see that many men are still not considered good enough and are expected to constantly strive against antagonistic systems to be better, even after they have achieved a great amount. If a woman has a relationship with a man who is abusive, and later comes out as lesbian and from then on only has lesbian relationships, she is a lesbian who has experienced IPV from a man. Edit: Also, lots of bisexual women in the lesbian community identify as lesbians because lesbians tend to assume bisexual women will end up with men.

Lesbians don’t like bisexual women/will choose to date exclusively other lesbians (because bisexuals tend to end up with men), so there is pressure in the lesbian community to not identify as a bisexual woman. Financial abuse is threatening to take the house over your head/food away. Like giving the bare minimum required for groceries and getting mad at how much they cost (with the earning spouse buying themselves takeout). I don’t think it’s true that most men are that unattractive to most women. ... the whole point of a prenup is to protect the interests of both parties and lay out a guideline for how assets should be split in the case of a divorce. It isn't just a "get out of marriage free" card, and that view of it is why most prenups are thrown out. Someone should not get married to a person they think is a gold digger or if they are unable to trust their future spouse. Regardless of their proven trustworthiness, if someone chooses to marry a person, then they are agreeing to tie the…

Prenups won’t be thrown out if you involve lawyers and ensure they are fair to both sides. The prenups that get thrown out are like back of the napkin “I keep everything earned after we get married and the stay at home parent gets nothing” type things that obviously are one sided Statistically men are far more likely to lose their house than a woman is likely to end up homeless. Statistically the woman is worse off after divorce
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/24 05:21 AM

I don’t believe this is true. Point 1 doesn’t make sense, all a woman has to do is make a profile that says “hookups only” or something on Tinder and she’ll get a million matches. Point 2 doesn’t make sense, because if the point is just to have casual sex, “getting used” doesn’t factor into it I think women in general just don’t like casual sex, because it carries more actual risk for them (STDs, injuries, pregnancy) and because they are less likely to derive pleasure from it

I think we have a fundamental disagreement on both the maturity of young women and the difficulty of raising children. Raising children is extremely difficult, even more difficult to do with empathy and control, especially when you are young. Women save fine for the OE in their teens. I don’t know what “OE” stands for And honestly, a women who can't save while earning at age 20+ shouldn't even be having kids anyway. Young women seem to be alright at saving money from what I've seen. Especially if they have a goal. Young people, in general, are bad at saving money. This is a fact. A young woman will not save money for children — she does not want them, they are not a desirable goal in her perspective. Once again, why do you think women will go into ECE? You say they waste their time at university partying, they will likely do the same without university. Regardless of partner choice, young women are more lik…

I think it’s good for a woman to go to university or begin working for the same reason I think it is good for a man to go to university or begin working — it is an important step in developing independence and an identity separate from your childhood identity. If this is your belief, why would you think it’s a good idea for women to have children before they are ready? Many people who have kids before they are ready hate the children and make terrible parents. That irresponsibility you mention in your post won’t just go away after they have a kid, and now will effect two people instead of just one. Ok. I agree it’s not smart to hook up while drunk (and I don’t think it’s a good idea to casually hook up at all). My point is that the vast majority of hookups with strangers/acquaintances would not happen sober, in any circumstances.

Uh, yes, do not have sex with someone who is passed out… Let me be clearer— only people who have a good grip on social interactions already and can understand body language should do this. It’s creepy behavior to be sober and to methodically pursue drunk women. If you start a night semi sober, start talking to a semi sober woman, build up some repoire, have another drink or two together, and then go home together, that’s a normal thing that happens at parties and bars all over the world.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 03:46 AM

The reason women do not want to be agreeable is that it was shown that it inevitably leads to being exploited. If a man is agreeable and goes along with what other people want, is that man likely to be rewarded? No. The same applies to agreeable women.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 03:37 AM

(Some groups of) men did demonize being agreeable. If a woman tries to avoid confronting a pushy man, they are blamed by men for leading him on. If a woman trusts a strange man, and he exploits that trust and hurts her, they are blamed by men for trusting him. If a woman marries and has children with a man, and he is a deadbeat, and he pushes her boundaries every day until she breaks, she is told she should have picked better. Men make it clear that agreeable women are fools. If a woman confront…

I think the number of people doing this entirely sober is over exaggerated. My scenario does start out with the woman biased against men, but I tried to account for it — she only accuses you with the same likelihood that a man would hurt a woman in my stipulations. I fully acknowledge that very, very few men would hurt a woman they encountered in the forest. The problem (and why the stipulations are needed) is that men have an innate physical advantage against women. Men are stronger than women. Why would it be wrong to put a man in a hypothetical situation that may inspire some psychological fear? If a man answers bear, I do not think there is anything wrong with his ability to reason. The fact is that we live in a safe society, far away from any real danger or fights for survival. If a man answers bear, he is simply prioritizing the fear he may come up against everyday vs the more distant but more physically damaging fear. There is nothing wrong with that in my view. Whether or not th…

He asked for a justification for getting into the hypothetical, I provided one. If you do not like the proposed situation you can disregard it, none of it is necessary for my actual question. What do you think I said that was misandrist?

Ok, let me add justification — you are in the woods because you love to hike. While walking through the forest, you see a rare bird, and as a bird enthusiast, you go after it to get a photograph and status in the bird watcher community. If you get a photo of the bird it will get you a Wikipedia article as a really cool dude who saw a rare bird one time. While following the bird, you wander off the trail. By the time you come to your senses, you have no idea where the trail is anymore. Your phone…

Whatever type of bear you prefer, or what you think women imagine in their hypothetical (I personally lean towards a grizzly bear). Obviously a black bear greatly lowers the risk of a mauling. Grizzly bears do not guarantee that you are mauled but raise that chance significantly. Either way the bear will fuck you up if it decides to do so.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 07:34 AM

Your reframing doesn’t make sense in the way most people understand the question. The bear has much lower chance of mauling you than 99%. Honestly I think a random man is less likely to rape a random woman than 1 in 100 but idk. The original question does seem to request an emotional answer, but that is part of the appeal — you are able to frame the question in different ways based upon your understanding of the world. The ambiguity of the question opens up the discussion, and makes it much more…

Yes
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 06:56 AM

Being in the woods with a bear isnt a 99% chance of dying. Most bears do not attack people. The woods are their home and they have other, more familiar food sources. Both a bear mauling and a random unknown man raping and killing you have remote chances of happening. The comparison then becomes about what you psychologically fear the most.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 06:55 AM

Woods are difficult to sneak in. There is a large amount of underbrush you will inevitably strike and be heard in. Your only hope is standing still and hoping the woman does not stumble upon you, but because this is a hypothetical I created and control, she will inevitably will find you. Because the woman has a gun, your vengeance will be stopped by the Samuel Colt equality act

/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 05:08 AM

She has hearing, if she hears you she will walk over, and know who you are. Plus, I can come back from psychological damage (I have been bullied in the past and made it through without any help) but not death. Then your answer is the woman regardless of any other justifications, if your interest is solely in decreasing your risk of death, which is valid.

I would be willing to acknowledge that Amber Heard is a cult leader, if you are able to present evidence that she has controversial opinions that people regularly seek out and defend. I would say it’s more likely that defending Amber Heard is a convenient prop for people to use in their own ideological arguments, and they have no interest in her otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 04:59 AM

Why do you believe that to be false? Is there data on how frequently a woman who believes it is morally ok to falsely accuse a man of rape would do so to a random man?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 04:54 AM
0

Evading the woman makes no difference, she knows who you are (see stipulations). Phone batteries won’t be able to record a full 48 hours (time interval originally proposed for the man vs bear scenario)
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 04:50 AM
-3

Additional stipulations: You can’t hurt the woman or do anything to sway her opinion in one direction or the other The woman is less likely to falsely accuse you than the bear is to attack you, the probability is roughly equal to the probability a random man would attack a woman in the forest. The woman has a gun and will fatally shoot you if she thinks you are threatening, at roughly the probability of a random man deciding to kill a woman. I addressed this

I think the level people are taking this discussion to is a bit over the top. I think both the women who die-hard defend the bear are hysterical, but I also think some people are leaping to conclusions that the question does not imply and maybe are a bit too upset about it in general. First, the chances of being hurt when you are stuck in the woods with a bear or a man is minimal. 99% of bear encounters do not result in being mauled. Yes, bears are much more likely to seriously hurt you, and muc…

Generally when people call someone an internet “cult leader” they mean the person both has a large number of controversial opinions and their followers will defend every bad take or action of that person. People do that for Andrew Tate. It’s not the same as someone being popular.

The red pill is not just that. The origins of the red pill are that women are inferior (dumber, less deserving of rights, less capable of reason) than men. The rhetoric surrounding the red pill still promotes this narrative, and contributes to black pill thinking. If you are just trying to hook up it doesn’t matter, unless you are also living at home, which will kill that. As a social critique it doesn’t make sense. In this sub, it’s pretty uncommon for people to believe there are no differences between men and women. I mean I’m in my 20s, I understand he may be more attractive now to certain people but I don’t see it and neither do my closest friends. I don’t think he was still physically developing in his 30s? And my point with the photo of his body was more that it was your basic old guy body, nothing is wrong with that, but there are a lot of guys in their 20s that look better.

Yeah, I mean it’s fair to say I don’t speak for all women. I have a friend who is 24 with a 35 year old Harry Potter looking nerdy guy she out earns so I’m not saying my views on attraction are universal. I’m just saying in general it’s misleading to tell men they’ll still look great in their 40s and 50s compared to their 20s and 30s, which is something I see in a lot of RP communities and is on the level of “just be nice and have a good job!” in terms of being misleading.

But I’ve never seen a man that always took care of himself look better in his 40s than he did in his late 20s to early 30s. An old man will almost never be the best option because he will be ugly compared to younger men to a young woman. Even if she does go for him for practical reasons (ie wealth) he still won’t be as sexually attractive as a large percent of younger men.

Isn’t that more of a universal truth for men and women? Very attractive women do less to get commitment from men. Very very attractive women are given things and opportunities normal women don’t get. An ugly looking woman could never compete with a beautiful woman. If men had the same number of sex options as women, they would prioritize sleeping with and dating only hot women, not ugly women. A man below the line is a “fuck no”. A man at the line is a “maybe if other things are attractive and we are compatible to date” a man very very far above the line is a “a good chance even if there are some problems, unless there are factors that mean I’m not looking to date”. There is not a scale out of 10 in which men are rated. If someone is on the line they are rounded down.

Breasts and penises are not anywhere near as taboo. In media, how often do you see breasts? How often do you see penises? It’s way more common to see breasts because there is less of a stigma and it is less shocking to the viewer/less likely to put them off the show. A closer equivalent is a man’s bare ass. I am confused what your contention here is with my comment. I obviously like arguing so I’ll respond anyway: They also talk about BP men as being men who are "delusional about female nature" and do not believe that money, looks, "game", and status are very important towards dating success for men as much as being a good person. I do not believe the group of people that believe this is large, and is certainly not large enough to be “mainstream society”, as blue pill is meant to represent. The onl…

You can’t imagine a scenario where someone has been dealing with their moms care for a long time and doesn’t want to pause their life until she gets better? Or maybe they want to keep their mind off things rather than sitting at home worrying about it? She might have even felt safe/connected to this man before he proved he was unable to give her 5 minutes of grace for something important to her. I guess one could argue she wasn’t in an emotional state for a date and the man was expecting her to …

“Blue pill” was made up to stand in for any non-red pill ideology. It’s like in religion you have believers and non-believers, and non-believers can have a variety of other opinions, or even follow a different religion. There is no true consistency in blue pill beliefs, except that they cannot directly agree with the red pill, because it was made as a catch all for non-red pill beliefs. Therefore any non-RPer in a relationship is a blue pill success story. As far as what most people believe, a g…

Dating advice subreddits/aita/drama subs are definitely women populated subreddits. Relationship drama tends to be a women focused space. Something like livestreamfails or streamer subs would be the male occupied version of those.

Listen, you can’t go to a woman-heavy sub, say no fatties, and complain when you get downvoted. It’s like if a woman went on the manosphere subs and talked about how she would never date someone below 6’1. It’s just rude and out of place in that social context.

That sounds like a transaction, not attraction

Drug addicts date drug dealers. To a drug addict, a drug dealer is a high status provider who doesn’t judge. This makes him “a good man” from the perspective of the addicted woman.

Why do people here always act shocked that drug dealers are able to attract drug addicted women? People with addictions will go to people who can feed those addictions. Idk any sober woman who would fuck a drug dealer/finds that attractive.

Women are blamed if they are not cautious and get hurt. People telling you not to wear provocative clothing “or else” or watching a woman get blamed when she is in an abusive marriage, or left a single mother, drives a lot more paranoia than whatever the tiny percentage of “misandrist feminists” say. No one wants to be that girl

The men here are mostly below average, possibly looks wise but definitely socially.

Yeah I was on Reddit in this early/mid-2010s “feminist golden era” and the red pill stuff was just as popular, but didn’t have the same terminology/was often framed in a “just kidding” kind of way Ie https://np.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/1bshx3/what_is_something_you_envy_about_the_opposite_sex/c99n4b5/ (Bonus racist Asian caricature) https://np.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/3ht7ep/shitty_lock/ https://np.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/1k80tc/saw_this_at_a_feminist_rally/ Something similar to red…

How is it controlling if old women are just telling young women about their experiences? If the woman chooses to ignore those warnings or believes the man she is interested in is different then there is nothing that keeps her from acting on her interest.

Looks like the suicide rate is on the decline for women in Korea though over the past decade, so Korea’s high suicide rate doesn’t seem correlated to the 4B movement: https://www.statista.com/statistics/789374/south-korea-suicide-death-rate-by-gender/#statisticContainer

Benedict Cumberbatch is pretty weird looking but also popular. But I guess he is also a tall in shape white guy so probably also doesn’t prove OPs point lmao

I think there’s always been some percent of people who fail to apply critical thinking when reading or seeing things on the internet. Like the people who fell for “bonsai kittens” etc in earlier internet days. Though boomers and young people seem more likely to become radicalized by the tailored content they view.

Edit: was unhappy with some wording so changed it So here, you have 2 issues: 1) the legal system does not equally punish men and women 2) women are socially shamed an inadequate amount, and those who socially shame women may face backlash. Connected to this is the view that men may be socially shamed excessively with no pushback. I don’t disagree necessarily with either of these. My problem was the way you framed your original comment. Men, in fact, are so aware that men can be horrible that we…

what do we have as a tool that keeps women honest in society? I’m sorry, are women immune to jail/being sued/the police? We have a whole system set up which has determined what is a crime and what the punishment is for committing it. This applies to both men and women. Why would there be a separate criminal structure for women?

I think this depends on if there are children. Having someone at home is probably better for kids. Kids are a lot of work so the balance of effort is more equal. If the relationship sinks, both people suffer. This isn’t true for couples without children. Housework for 2 people is pathetically easy to keep up with. This means the person working is putting in way more effort. The person at home may begin to feel bored and isolated, and is entirely dependent on the other persons goodwill. This is a…
