Hes spending it on household expenses and if he keeps receipts to prove it... he'll be fine. What he should be ready for is for her to take that trip and pay for it using their joint credit card putting him on the hook for half that debt.

Your marriage is over. And it should be. The word that describes what she's done here is "desertion" and it's a ground for fault divorce in many states. Get your kids back at least 50 percent of the time and start the process. If you dont already have an attorney on retainer and your accounts aren't separated, you're behind the eight ball. A few things to consider. No idea where her mother lives... it's Summer time. I'll bet your first month's alimony that she intends to enroll them into whateve…

Firstly - you're in your late 30s now. Its not normal to not at least be divorced or have a kid. Its all about how you present yourself. Your kid needs to be an afterthought for at least the first 3 to 6 months you date a woman and your OLD profile should reflect that. My OLD profile said nothing about a kid but it had a picture of me with them. If a girl cared to ask, I'd tell her. By the time the kid matters theyre out the door on good terms or a solid gf. Your kid is your priority. Not everyb…

Do the police station thing right away. Girls this angry dont let up by choice. They need to rub head first into reality or their fictional narrative takes hold and enough people start to believe them. If she'll lie about the infidelity, its only a stutter step away from everything else.

I was at this point 6 to 12 months before it happened. I made a conscious choice not to act on my gut. I regret it. Instead of having an attorney ready to go and a plan to immediately hit 50/50 custody, I got papered while out of town on a business trip. Never give her first strike advantage. I could have positioned myself much better for the inevitable. Even if you dont ever pull the the trigger - you can still dig your fox hole and continually improve your position.

Hell... in some states it's your right to take your dog out back and shoot them if they won't hunt. Alright... I'll show myself out.

Even your dog stops being your best friend if you don't feed them for a week. The notion that adultery following a unilateral long term cessation of intimacy entitles any partner to payment is asinine. As for establishing a cash value for a spouse who stops working to raise the kids... there has to be a better valuation method than entitling them to a uniform percentage of the breadwinner's current income.

By demonstrating fairness and rationality you've shown a weakness. What's fair isn't how far you're willing to bend. From opposing counsels perspective - they collect their hourly rate the whole way. Settling on day one is their worst case scenario. The real takeaway here is to play your cards close, give no ground without taking some, and to always remember - your ex is and always was dumb and self absorbed enough to take the whole family down that path.

Divorce attorneys are literally ambulance chasers. Ask for everything, lets see what you get. This is just a starting point. He needs to know you mean business and I'm going to show him for you. Plaintiff requests defendant pay all reasonable legal fees... Its a business.
/r/Divorce_Men18/05/26 11:58 PM

I mean - this doesnt sound collaborative. Unless you've been ordered to pay your wife's legal bills... probably don't do that. If youre headed to court - and it sounds like you are - make a best and final offer that includes her keeping half the debt... and let them know court is the next step if they dont accept. Divorce lawyers dont work on contingency. Somebody will have to pay her lawyer.

All in your head dude. This is entirely about your confidence. There are droves of women in their 30s perfectly willing to date men with kids. Your issue is confidence. Good question. Our mediated agreement filed with the divorce decree just says that we'll confer at the start of the academic year to determine who is the enrolling parent. The alternative to failing to agree - is court. The middle point school is an alternative I've considered - but frankly - I want the kid to make neighborhood friends and be able to walk to and from school. If it came down to the middle point or her choice - I might opt to just let her have hers.

The need to project on this sub is sometimes too much... Not everyone got married without a prenup to a woman who doesn't work. Not all of us need therapy. Some of us were just unhappy in marriages with a faster half life than others. The women in dating over 50 aren't an accurate representation of all the women dating over 50. Adverse selection... Think of it like flood insurance... the only organization stupid enough to do business in that industry is the federal government.

You're a little early in the process - but to quote a good friend of mine: you'll feel a lot better once you find a pretty lady to play with your penis.

I probably would have... had she conducted herself with even the slightest bit of honor and good faith during the divorce process.

Yeah - I'm thinking there's a whole lot more going on here than you're really capable of relaying at this time. All that being said - you are in no shape to reach out to her mother and expect a good outcome. Couple tid bits of wisdom while we're here: When you're accused of domestic abuse - you always show up to contest it. Your sworn testimony that the accusations are unfounded is evidence. Don't use the same reddit account to talk about your marriage/divorce as you did to seek advice on how to…

You can hate a person without letting it consume you. Some of us have emotional intelligence and self restraint.

Yeah - you still think you're getting somewhere with this. You're not.

Unless you know the investigator and the prosecutor - you'll get nowhere fast with this. There are women who have literally initiated mortgages against their husband's houses using forged signatures and never had to pay the money back - let alone seen the first page of an indictment. I met this woman a while back and knew something was off about her. So I dug. https://cases.justia.com/virginia/court-of-appeals-unpublished/2017-2044-16-2.pdf?ts=1512490592 (https://cases.justia.com/virginia/court-…

Set up a trust in your sons name that can only pay out to living and education expenses. Have the home sale documents set up to pay out a specific sum off the top line for his school. If she signs it - great. If she doesn't - you have your answer as whether or not she has ever going to.

I could never imagine giving the ex the ability to jump school districts without my approval. You guys either have a great relationship or a shit custody arrangement.

No longer believing in the institution of marriage after realizing its an onerous legal scam... is very different from believing you're better off single. I'm all for the potential bliss of a successful life long partnership in my future - I just can't imagine ever legally handcuffing myself like that ever again.

To quote a friend I once asked a similar question of - you just need somebody who's company you enjoy on a personal level to play with your penis 15-60 times. Unless there are extenuating circumstances like kids, family pressure, or being financially and/or geographically tethered due to the divorce - it really is that simple. Loss is best healed with healthy replacement.

How old was he when you two split up? What age did you get your 100 percent at? Going down this same road with the same strategy on my 2 year old boy as we speak.

Yeah - no. The average mental health professional is a glorified liberal arts degree holder with a personal agenda and an incentive to keep the patient coming back with payments. Edit to add: talk about a guy who insists he read the article as aggressively as he proves that he didn't and continues to miss the point.

If they have a contractual agreement that says she can only call every other day - it's literally an over step to call every day.

Mine used to watch a lot of day time TV. Any time the story surrounded people alienating each other from their children she'd say something to the tune of "I just can't understand people who would try to separate their kids from their other parent. It's immoral and not fair to thr." Of course, when it came time to split, she waited till I wasnt home, moved to another state with the kid, and wouldn't tell me where they were. Then she demanded I sign a custody agreement that had me seeing our kid …
