Marriage is ultimately just a legal status that confers benefits to whoever the government decides is allowed to get an official relationship stamp. Don't forget to at least consider alternative forms like open relationships and polyamory. Maybe for you, maybe not. But don't grow up thinking there's only one model of love or relationships allowed. That alone leads to more problems that people realize.
