Its both. Our justice system is a joke, sentences are far too low, and lower still for women who commit the same crimes.
/r/MensRights02/12/22 02:41 PM
16

Of course because it's a woman the sentence is a mere slap on the wrist. If this was the other way around and it was a father who did this, the traditional media, social media and the 'justice' system would crucify them.

Not the first and won't be the last person they shame and blame. Report and leave them to wallow in their own anti-male sentiment and move on, for your own sake. Responding to them just feeds their hate. Do what you wish, of course; just giving you a heads-up to my fellow dudes to stay away from this sociopathic bully. Stay safe.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 05:09 PM
2

Just a heads up, this person is a serial feminazi troll, you'd be better off reporting them and moving on, for your own sanity.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 05:06 PM
1

Mate, don't bother, there is no use in trying to reason with feminazi bullies. Just block them and move on.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 04:58 PM
10

Just block and report them my friend. They provide nothing but hate to society. Best not to engage them.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 04:57 PM
1

Just a tip from a fellow sane human, report, ignore and block them. They are a hateful troll and you'll get nothing from trying to reason with them. It'll save brain cells, believe me.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 04:50 PM
2

Okay, we are done here then. Clearly, you haven't got a response of any value to offer, so I'll leave you to your delusions. Good day.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 04:37 PM
2

You must live in a dream world then. You simply cannot expect clear, concise permission in every single scenario where physical touching is concerned. This idea came about from perm-victims like yourself who think that touching of any kind is assault and that human beings are dumb enough not to understand implied consent.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 04:35 PM
2

Of course I can see the nuance. My point is that your initial argument is precisely the same as mine. You are saying it's situational, as am I, hence why I said reasonable physical contact is fine. Where we differ is you are saying no one should touch each other because we don't know how the person feels, I am saying we are intelligent creatures that know the difference, and persecuting people for a mere touch is moronic.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 04:28 PM

people that commit that crime should be punished for it, regardless of gender, or race, or socioeconomic background. Which I agree with, except they arent. This is just one case of a woman getting away with sex crimes for being a woman, yet if it were a man doing the same, they'd be persecuted to the ends of the earth. Until situations like this no longer happen, men will continue to point out the hypocrisy and sexism against men, which is so prevalent yet ignored in modern society.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 04:25 PM
3

why are you so desperate to be perceived as a victim? You haven't heard of irony, have you? You are the same person 1 comment ago who said: unwanted physical contact of any kind is assault. Please, look at yourself before spouting nonsense online. I am not trying to be a victim; that's the point. The issue I have is campaigns like this that paint me as an abuser because I am a man and nothing else.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 04:23 PM
6

and for them to be prosecuted for having done so. Except they don't. That's the entire point. There is both a legal and societal bias towards female rapists, which see them frequently get away with sex crimes simply for being female. That's the Duluth model at work.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 04:20 PM
3

No, it really isn't. If I tap on someone's arm or shoulder to get their attention, that is not an assault. If I grab someone's arm to stop them from falling, that is not an assault. Reasonable physical contact is normal and should not be discouraged. Ad hominem attacks are a very weak attempt at an argument. If you have nothing of value to say, don't say it at all. Good day.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 04:11 PM
5

Please explain how a video portraying only men as perpetrators of sex crimes is not anti-male. This could have easily been a "victims of sex crimes can find support here", but instead, it was yet another "women and girls are the victims" ad that only shows men as the aggressors.
/r/MensRights25/11/22 04:06 PM
13

Simply touching someone is not sexual harassment. Human beings should be able to touch each other respectfully without it being labelled sexual harassment. The point is that this video makes it look like that and portrays only men as doing this when, in fact, this is just disingenuous virtue-signalling bullshit designed to get people (read: feminists) riled up against men.

Props to you for the most coherent, nonbiased view of the whole situation. Primarily for yourself... It's a bit of an odd 'nornalcy' that you/those in your group sleep with friends and fuck buddies. To clarify further, most of the group (who I don't talk to anymore) were women, they just sleep around a lot. 9/10 one of them will pull on a night out, or call up an ex-fling and sleep with them instead. I don't know if it's just women in general or the 'girl boss' feminist types, but to them, it is…

Especially since it was sent through text so she doesn’t know your even drunk. Just for context, we were both on our way back from a Halloween party. She knew I was drunk and I knew she was. We will see what happens. I don't necessarily want to cut off a 10-year friendship over what was, in reality, a dumb argument over a drunk text.
/r/MensRights14/11/22 09:16 PM
1

Yeah, I admit it wasn't exactly worded the best, being very drunk kinda does that. It wasn't presumptuous necessarily, at least in my view. We have known each other long enough to know it wasn't meant with any weight behind it, especially since I have never brought it up a single time in those 10 years. Regardless, it seems a bit hypocritical that I can't say "I would sleep with you" to someone I have been close with for 10 years, but she can repeatedly sleep with her literal rapist because he's…

You have known her for ten years and still your friendship ment so little to you, that you where fine trashing it to shoot your shot. This take is awful. This attitude is why men don't 'shoot their shot' in the first place - doomed if we do, doomed if we don't. Friends can sleep with their friends, to me, that's not a problem. That varies with different people of course, but that is not the case here. Whoever she sleeps with, doesn’t give you or any other man a „right“ to expect the same. She is…

Besides the message itself, I can't necessarily see what I did wrong. Sure I said some stupid things, but nothing that wasn't the truth. From what I can gather, most people are saying that bringing up who she sleeps with was a mistake on my part, but I don't agree. The entire argument was about it and how she was being hugely hypocritical about it, I am unsure how else I could have made my point without doing so.
/r/MensRights14/11/22 08:45 PM
19

2 things: 1- I've known her for ten years. This the the first and only time I've even suggested it. 2- Who she sleeps with isn't normally my business, correct. However, it very much becomes that when she openly sleeps with her friends but calls me an incel for suggesting the same thing. That very much does make her a hypocrite. You can't do a thing with consequences and expect to ignore them because you don't like them. In this case, the consequences of her sleeping with her male friends is that…
/r/MensRights14/11/22 07:33 PM
6

That's the thing. Women and men can be friends, however, the unfortunate truth is that in my experience at least, women tend to not understand the male psyche, yet expect men to completely understand theirs at all times.

16

Oh, I totally agree, I said some stupid shit, which in the end I did apologise for (never got one from her bare in mind) however, I disagree with me being 'entitled'. I never said I was entitled to it, I simply said I would if she wanted to. I didn't say, 'because you sleep with your friends you should sleep with me', rather that its hypocritical to say that I am in the wrong for saying I would sleep with her if she wanted to, while also sleeping with her other friends and an abusive ex-boyfrien…

Again, cherry picking does not equal a point. If anything, it's the exact point of my post, which is saying that women and/or feminists cheery pick peoples opinions to keep only the bad without having the context which 9/10 clarifies the point entirely. I did not once say women and/or feminists do not have critical thinking skills. What I said was they seemingly do not when it comes to people who have differeing opinions.

I got to admit; I think I lost confidence in your post when you wrote “I am of the opinion that a lot of people, mainly women and/or feminists seem to lack the critical thinking skills…” I don’t see a difference in critical thinking between men and women and espousing that feels slime to me. He is rather prone to getting sound bited, which is unfortunate since his long form verbal essays and discussions are often deeper than what a 20 clip can reveal. This point highlights my main point in the post. People love a soundbite of something 'controversial' and judging based solely on that, despite not having a single crumb of context or listening to the entirety of the media it was contained in.

90% was a figure I estimated hastily. In reality, it's closer to 99%. There are examples of actual 'pay gaps' for both men and women, but it is certainly not a worldwide issue like many make it out to be. Besides, I am not really sure what your point is. Why would OF cater to men, when that's only 30-40% of their market? Women make the majority of the money on OF, and that's not even a bad thing, if you take into account the bigger picture. Reducing it down to "x is paid more than y" without loo…
/r/AntiFeminists17/08/22 09:21 AM
3

I'm not picking up 'what suits me'. I'm pointing out that the pay gap is non-existent in 90% of cases. In your example of using OF as an example, you are failing to take into account why women are paid so much more. It's simple supply/demand economics. Men aren't paid as much for sexual content because there isn't much of a market for it. In the same way, women's sports are less watched and so they are paid less for it. It's not by choice, it's because you can't pay someone with money you don't …
/r/AntiFeminists17/08/22 09:07 AM
1

To be fair, while I disagree with the existence if OF as a whole, the 'pay gap' on there is not a question of pay. Its the same thing with women's sports - its just about supply/demand. If you want to point out the pay gap doesn't exist in sports you have to use that same logic on OF.

Hardly appropriate, and doesnt really solve the issue at hand. Male loneliness has been on the rise for a while, and a large part of that is due to the way society views men in general - expendable. That used to just mean in jobs, but it has know spread to the dating world, and now women rarely communicate or commit to people, so a lot of men feel alone, and rightly so.

Your coherent argument went down quickly didn't it! I dont want to shoot a gun, in the same way I don't want to build a bomb. I dont need a gun to feel safe, so I'm already far better off than you'll ever be. Guns are dangerous, and I will never trust anyone who owns one or defends owning one. I'm done here. You can't reason with the stupid, I'm just waiting my breath.

Says the man who’s only argument is guns have been used for killing so bad. Correct. Anything that kills people shouldn't be allowed to be sold in shops. Thats just common fucking sense. Again the states with the highest gun control have the highest gun crime yet states with more less gun law and more legally owned guns have less. Coming from the nation with over 300 mass shootings just this year, I don't give a flying fuck which state has more or less. In Japan the gangs still have guns and sti…

Or the same one I use to hunt is the same I’d use to protect my home. If you feel so unsafe you need a gun to protect you, you should move somewhere else. If people want to mass murder they’d build a bomb, use a van or a fucking knife Right, because you definetly see 100s of 'mass knifings' and 'mass bombings' per year. one of the worst terrorist attacks in Japan was done using a knife. Right, because Japan has very high gun control laws. If they'd had a gun, they could have inflicted exponentia…

You probably think an AR-15 is more dangerous than the standard hunting rifle. A gun is a gun. It doesn't not matter what. All are designed for the sole purpose of killing and inflicting damage. Guns are a tool if people want to cause harm they’d use other tools. Which they do. My point is if you take a deadly weapon away from people, they cannot commit mass murder as easily. Guns are dangerous, and should not be in the hands of civilians. If you need them for protection you have bigger problems…

Oh that bullshit. Its a tool for killing. It's not equivalent to a hammer, knife, chainsaw or screwdriver. Guns kill people, more than any other 'tool' has. If you want to kill people, what do you get? A gun. Point proven. You are dangerous.
/r/AntiFeminists20/07/22 06:32 PM
2

A gun is a gun. It's a killing machine. Semi automatic, automatic, barrel loaded I don't care. No civilian should be able to or need to own one expect for sport snd leisure. Remove guns, you remove gun violence on mass. I can't believe you are defending this, it's genuinely frightening.
/r/AntiFeminists20/07/22 06:25 PM
2

You can still commit a mass shooting and have a clean record. Guns are the problem. No one should be able to buy a gun for 'personal protection'. Sport and leisure only, highly regulated is the only way I can justify it.
/r/AntiFeminists20/07/22 06:15 PM
2

Ah the old 'mental health' excuse. You can walk into a supermarket and buy a handgun. An 18 year old managed to buy two automatic weapons with no checks, and killed over a dozen kids. Remove guns, and this wouldn't happen. Civilians have no need for guns. End of.
/r/AntiFeminists20/07/22 05:53 PM

You really tried to make a coherent point didn't you. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mass_shootings_in_the_United_States_in_2022 The fact this list is longer that 1 is the problem. You can try and redefine what a mass shooting is but regardless, guns are the problem. What has plane jacking have to do with it?
/r/AntiFeminists20/07/22 05:45 PM
2

Okay. For one, use your eyes and read. I said no guns = no GUN violence. They’ll just use any other tool what next a ban on knives? Remember those terrorist attacks when they ploughed through people in a van or how a Japanese exPM got assassinated with a homemade gun? Correct. But how many times does this happen? Very, very infrequently. How many mass shootings has the US had this year? Over 300. In ONE year. Also wasn’t a mass shooting stoped by a civilian with a gun recently? Right, because th…

If you constantly live in fear of a tyrannical military, maybe try and fix that, rather than solving it with more school shootings.
/r/AntiFeminists20/07/22 04:18 PM

Thats what the military is for. Civilians should not have access to military grade weaponry, or guns for 'personal protection' at all. If you need guns to protect yourself, you should probably reconsider how safe you think your country is.

Feminism is the example. Is that too hard for you to understand? Why would something that only campaigns for women rights be a positive thing for men?
/r/AntiFeminists17/07/22 01:43 PM
1

Answer this, if you could pay women less, why hire men at all? I specifically asked you what steps you advocate for as an egalitarian in reducing the gender disparity in several fields. Equality of opportunity, its not that complex.
/r/AntiFeminists17/07/22 01:42 PM
1

The fact feminism exists is campaigning against men's rights, this really isn't hard to understand.
/r/AntiFeminists17/07/22 01:36 PM
2

Voici This is unadjusted pay gap. That's not a pay gap. Women earn less than men because they work less hours, do less overtime, and on average do not work for promotion. If the wage gap existed as you think it does, why hire men at all Lmao, you literally said that women cannot do everything a man can because of neurological differences. Yes, that is 100% true. Hence the differences in pay. On average, women choose to pursue a family as supposed a career. They also work lower paid, less dangero…
/r/AntiFeminists17/07/22 01:34 PM

So just to clarify, your logic is: Feminism is bad because while it fights for disproportionate issues affecting women, it only fights for women. Meanwhile, mens rights is good because it fights for disproportionate issues for men. Correct. The key difference is that feminism does not just fight for women's rights, it actively campaigns against men's rights. There is no "meninism", because nobody cares enough about men's rights to make it so. That's the key difference.
/r/AntiFeminists17/07/22 12:58 PM
2

This is a blatantly false statement, provide sources. You can't disprove the existence of something. Prove to me the wage gap does exist, and I'll disprove everything you can come up with. You believe you need to specify this with women? It kind of reveals your bias with women there Am I surprised you are jumping to conclusions? Not really. You asked me a question regarding women, I answered regarding women, simple as that. Don't try to twist my words, I ain't falling for that shit.
/r/AntiFeminists17/07/22 12:39 PM
1

Just like Men's Rights? I fight for men's rights, sure, where there is a clearly disproportionate issue, and vice versa. That's called being reasonable and objective, unlike feminism. The problem is that feminism is rampant, so MRA's are seen as "evil" because feminists are afraid of their carefully crafted gynocentric world order being balanced.
/r/AntiFeminists17/07/22 12:37 PM
2

So then, just to confirm, you as an egalitarian, are in favor of taking steps to reduce the wage gap? No, because the wage gap has been proven false countless times. You're in favor of taking steps to bring more women into STEM fields? If they are good enough, yes. Not just for the sake of it. You're in favor on taking steps to bring more women into government? Same applies.

Again, you gotta love this form of debate! No facts, no logic, no defense. Truly beautiful, and can only be found on this sub Oh darling, have you ever tried to debate in feminazi subreddits? I'm just gonna ignore your repeated points, it's just boring now. Literally no. Feminism exists to solve problems faced by women. That's it's goal. I'm not sure what "game" I've given up. Women face injustice. They seek equality through feminism. And answer the damn question. Do you want feminists to solve your problems for you? You've proved me right. And no, I don't want feminists to solve my problems, I don't want feminism to exist at all.

Fundamental misunderstanding of feminism. And it's beautiful. FEM-inism is a movement to address injustices faced by FEMales. Yes, thank you for proving my point. It only addresses female injustices. It doesn't fight for equality. If it did, it would be egalitarianism. It's also a FEMINIST country. That in itself is just so wrong. An entire country should not be feminist. I never said I was, I am saying constant advertising and social media forces a usually unattainable ideal down your throat that is damaging to those trying to reach it.

Feminism is all about ensuring equal opportunity. That is it's very core. Yeah, no. It just doesn't. The clue is the word - Feminism. It assumes that women are always worse off so they deserve more. That's not equality. If you wanted equality you'd be an egalitarian. Feminists just want women to be better, at any cost. Hey buddy, take a look at Sweden again. Military draft for men was ended, and then when brought back included women as well Congrats, a notoriously socially liberal country introd…

Could not account for countries with feminist policies performing better in mental health for women, so just ignored them Yeah, I ignore them because in those countries men's mental health is consistently not as good. Complains feminism promotes unattainable standards, then points out plus sized women on billboards as a result of feminism. Entirely misinterpreted my point. I dont think "plus sized" should be celebrated and promoted at all, but if it is, why is it only okay for women to be 'plus …

I dont think you understand what egalitarian means. I want equal rights and opportunities, but not by just focusing on women, like feminism does. Men and women are different, so they will be treated differently. I'm all for equal opportunity. I am whole heartedly against forced equality on the basis 'they are a woman/man so this should be equal'. Where is the equality crowd when it comes to military drafts?

I'm an egalitarian. My viewpoint is going to be slightly subjective, but at least I'm not brainwashed into thinking feminism is a force for good.

You are spouting ideas based on your subjective viewpoint. Subjective or not, what role models are talked about most? Celebrities with more money than sense. This happens for men too by the way. Example: how many "plus sized" or average looking male models do you see plastered on billboards or in TV adverts? Give me one example of an unattainable standard promoted by feminism The idea that women can do everything a man can and vice versa. This right here is the problem Your right, it is the prob…

Using the US is not a good metric, as its been proven to be a backwards shithole. Regardless. Its very naive of you to think feminism is actually fighting for women not feeling good. Feminism has caused countless men and women to feel like they aren't good enough, because it gives the spotlight to people who are "role models" who - 9 times out of 10 - are rich celebs who never had to work for anything. Unattainable standards is one of the cornerstones of the feminist ideology - it promotes the i…

What? Feminism is responsible almost entirely for the current generation of young girls never feeling good enough. I'm a dude, and even I can see how getting bombarded with "strong independent queens" who are born rich and never have to work for anything can make the average girl feel worthless because they can't be like them. Its the same people saying "Feminism is strong" that makes women weaker.

To be fair, I'm gonna have to side with they other guy here. I rarely see any gender quotas in any jobs. In almost all cases, occupations are either male dominated or female dominated. And you know what? I'm fine with that. Because that's equal. I'm all for equal opportunity, no one should not be allowed in a certain job based on thier gender, and gender quotas do just that. Again, 10 billion in unpaid child support. 70% of single mothers not receiving a thing. Did I say this was a good thing? No. All I am saying is that fathers should not be forced to pay, in the sense that if the baby is born, they are legally required to pay child support, and so can and frequently are punished for not doing so. Men walk away all the time and aren't punished. Depending on the circumstances, I agree with them. Fathers should be able to walk away unpunished, if the situation calls …

Men have tons of reproductive rights. Excuse me what? Men have very little reproductive rights. They are forced into parenthood, are rarely given custody of the child they do want, Safe Haven laws in the US de facto apply to only women, if the father is not listed on the birth certificate, which women are not legally required to do, the father has no rights at all, and only men have to fight for thier rights, I could go on. I can understand that viewpoint, but for me, just because it is "alive" (big emphasis on the quotes there), does not make it equivalent to murder. A collection of human cells does not have the right to live just because it is of the human species, otherwise amputating a limb would be murder. A collection of human cells only has the right to live by virtue of certain facts -these are either that it has reached a particular stage of development that makes it a moral 'person', or that it possesses …

Have you seen a 10 month old fetus? It's baby murder. I am not advocating abortion when a woman is 9 months pregnant. At that point, it's far more than a collection of cells and is a child in all aspects apart from being out of the womb. Try to rationalise it if you want, but being "pro-choice" is actually being pro-baby murder. No, it isn't. Being pro-choice means you believe women should have the choice to abort their pregnancy, not the government. You can call pro-choice advocates "baby mur…
/r/MensRights25/06/22 12:05 PM
2

Well, we are going to agree to disagree. Abortion is not an 'abomination' any less than male ejaculation from masturbation. Are you advocating for that to be banned also? There is no murder involved because an unborn foetus before a certain point simply cannot be classified as a human being. There is no 'innocence', they cannot be held to the same standard a 6-month-old infant can.
/r/MensRights25/06/22 11:58 AM
0

Sure, but some cells are worth more than others. It's perfectly fine to say and admit that. What is worth more, a cancer cell, or a cell that cures it? See my point?
/r/MensRights25/06/22 11:38 AM
2

It's a justification in the same way you would justify abortion in the case of rape, incest and medical reasons. Are those foetuses worth less because of how they were conceived? This is where pro-lifers' arguments fail to stand up to scrutiny. You either think abortion is never right in any circumstances or all circumstances. There is no in-between. You cannot say that a human foetus is sacred, but only when it would inconvenience the woman, but fine to abort if it inconveniences anyone else.
/r/MensRights25/06/22 11:37 AM

We haven't devalued life. My point is that the 'life' of a collection of cells is not the same as a newborn child. How many people were outraged at the Uvalde shooting vs how many people were outraged that over 1500 pregnancies were aborted that same day. We value born children far more than unborn foetuses, and that is the correct way of thinking. One is a born child with a future ahead of it, the other is an unborn collection of cells without a conscience.
/r/MensRights25/06/22 11:15 AM
0

Again, I disagree. Abortion is not 'baby murder'. Aborting a 10 week old foetus is not comparable with a 10 month old infant. There are women in countries that have no access to ANY abortion. They have to go to backalley 'doctors', pay thousands, and have a huge risk of not surviving. I am sure those women would not appreciate you telling them you would rather they go through that than abort the collection of cells they didn't want to grow in the first place.
/r/MensRights25/06/22 11:10 AM
-6

Also, I disagree that abortion is murder. Before a certain point, a foetus is no more than a collection of cells, and aborting it would not be the same as murdering a newly born child.
/r/MensRights25/06/22 10:49 AM
-5

Maybe that is so. People are cruel, people do things like this on a daily basis. Consider the fact that if a person really wanted to abort that baby, they would find other means to do so. Usually these are dangerous procedures that put the woman at risk also. I completely agree. It is narcissistic, it is wrong. But to deny them the choice to do so, I disagree with. At the end of the day, if you want children, consider very carefully who you choose to have them with.
/r/MensRights25/06/22 10:46 AM
-3

I disagree. Once you start making things like this conditional, you open it up to abuse, and that set a a precedent that rights are only rights under 'certain circumstances'. That's a slippery slope no one wants to go down. I agree, it is fucked up to abort a child for the reason you gave, but that does not mean women should not have the right to do so.
/r/MensRights25/06/22 10:36 AM
7

This is tough one. Of course it was fucked up, but one thing to consider is would it be right to take away all women's choices just for the sake of this one? She chose to do it because its her right. Not to say the reason was, but it should be her right to so, simply because the alternative is banning it for all women, a lot of whom need that choice.

I appreciate your opinion, but I fail to see how this isn't a good thing for the moment? I agree with you that it should be banned, but privatisation is still better than it being fully public. No sub of that size that privatises for no reason. They have been getting backlash, and would have privatised to avoid it, moving to their own forum echo chamber so they can moderate it according to their own views. The fewer FDS members on Reddit, the better. Simple.

You make some good points. There are arguments for and against 'safe' spaces. On the one hand, people should always have somewhere where they can express their opinions, no matter what it may be (an argument could be that this sub is an example of that). However, as you pointed out, they can quickly become a circlejerk. Generally speaking, I am fairly articulate with my debates online, and I'm fairly adept at knowing when enough is enough.
