This is false. Men can ask for half and legally they can. Men that make more than their wives will have to pay them after the divorce. Women who make more than their husband's have to pay their ex husband's after a divorce. Generally speaking with stay at home moms and similar situations, women (on average) make less than their husband's. So women are more likely to win the legal battle.

It's not a false narrative, women were second class citizens in many prominent civilizations. Roman empire, ancient China, Ottoman empire, and so many more. Not really relevant. While yes, statistically, lesbian relationships have a higher percentage of domestic abuse, They are way less lesbian relationships than straight relationships. The amount of domestic abuse by men to women and women to men is much much higher (in pure numbers) than in lesbian relationships.
