Ah I was pointing out that you said you broke down every point I raised but didn’t do so for this paragraph I linked I wasn’t spreading propaganda. I was promoting voices. The same reason why this sub exists, a under represented group of voices that are not heard, ie men who have issues that certain feminists decry and don’t give space for just cause their men.

Then how can you claim to have broke every single point? You didn’t.

I wasn’t spreading propaganda. I was promoting voices. The same reason why this sub exists, a under represented group of voices that are not heard, ie men who have issues that certain feminists decry and don’t give space for just cause their men. I was talking about this. I don’t think you broke down the points here.

Misandry is actually real while misogyny is just a facade to hide behind and demand more and more privileges for women. That’s the problem I have with this. Both can be real. Both ARE real. There are man hating women and there are women hating men. What about that you can’t face? That you got hurt by feminists who hate men doesn’t take away from actual misogyny that exists.

You didn’t debate any of my points in the comment you replied to. I’m saying there’s a space for both and the radical fems who silenced genuine men issues aren’t in the right either. But I’m also women have issues as well that can help with but aren’t necessarily guilty for.

Ya. I wasn’t spreading propaganda. I was promoting voices. The same reason why this sub exists, a under represented group of voices that are not heard, ie men who have issues that certain feminists decry and don’t give space for just cause their men. So same thing with women leadership, women voices so that women can feel heard as well. Does that help my point?

I said wasn’t going to downplay any real issues. That’s a legit concern. That’s why I linked the post I did. What I’m “condemning” is the notion that all feminists are like this and the over-obsession with anti feminist this sub has to the point where it consumes peoples thoughts leading to a warped world view and persecution complex https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/yme95z/comment/iv3kyud/ Is this sub constructive? Take a read through this eloquently written comment from a cmv post about why men become anti feminist in a way that doesn’t attack feminism either I don’t agree with the blanket towards feminists but I also can see valid issues MRA face. Let me now what you think https://www.reddit.com/r/changemyview/comments/1jt1u5/comment/cbi2m7a/

For this comment, this post more eloquently explains the issue I see with the opposition against feminists and idea partriarchy isn’t a thing and offers a wider perspective. Strikes a balance between valid issues from MR but without decrying modern feminism and boiling it down to man hate. What do you think? https://www.reddit.com/r/changemyview/comments/1jt1u5/comment/cbi2m7a/

second comment here, that commenter is saying it’s not equal to expect a women to have to shave armpit when men don’t and have trouble with the cultural expectation. It’s just about being aware and understanding of others.

Hmm, is it just about rights but also systemic abuses? Sure women have rights but it is fully pervasive? Is there still oppression, both small and large in the system? If so I would say they don’t fully have rights. Err rather it’s not just about rights, it’s about abuse. Women still get abused, not saying men don’t, but I’m saying that that is what modern feminism is still fighting for.

But diversity is a power itself. Showing others that women can be president is empowering and shouldn’t be discounted. It shouldn’t be the only factor but it shouldn’t be discounted either.

Apparently male preferences are misogynistic AND bigoted This comes off a bit like victimizing. To me, it can seem like you have trouble with even the topic existing? That post wasn’t a law decreeing that it is bigoted. It was having a very level discussion like the comment I linked and the reply you linked.

Second post to this comment, ACTUAL feminism isn’t a thing anymore. They’ve already got all of the rights and liberties that men have If that were the case something like this wouldn’t be an issue. https://www.reddit.com/r/Feminism/comments/y986yh/pregnant_women_in_usa_more_likely_to_be_murdered/

Being a man shouldn’t be about viewing women as opposition or competition to do better but improving one self and loving self. Nothing to do with blaming others.

I edited it immediately after I posted it. It’s not about special treatment, and it’s not about blaming men like you. It’s about exposing issues and raising awareness without putting guilt on others but upholding a moral responsibility.

Modern feminism assigns ALL men to the idea that we “abuse and degrade women and oppress.” https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/yme95z/comment/iv3zpj0/ That’s the claim I’m responding to and was told to look in feminism subreddit and is what I’m responding to with picking a post to show otherwise.

I’m a guy as well dude. What is your intention then with getting me to scroll through the subreddit if not to comb for man haters?
/r/MensRights05/11/22 03:28 AM

Yeah that’s valid and that’s messed up, but using that to claim all feminism is bad when real feminism isn’t about that and would actually argue against that is my position. That’s a misuse of truth and I wouldn’t support that. Feminism isn’t about guilting people who’ve done nothing wrong because others have. It’s about raising awareness to issues that exist and helping where you can. So the real solution would be to have a course or something that teaches and illustrates boys the small, large …

Right but the claim here is that feminism subreddit is full of man haters and that it’s all like that. I’m just challenging that with a single post that isn’t like that. So it can’t be like that. Your comment is valid Misandry by my read.

And that one comment doesn’t represent all feminists or real feminists and didn’t get a lot of traction (1 upvote). It’s that type of cherry-picking and using one offs like these to hate an entire group is what I’m arguing against. To take it further without making it too personal, you can tell that commenter is salty and hurt and expresses the same narrow minded hate towards “all men” that I see people in this sub express towards “all feminists”. I’m saying not all feminists are man hating and real feminists are not man hating. I’m saying that you’re conflating feminism with man hating and using that hate towards man hates to paint a broad stroke of all feminists which isn’t fair nor is it truthful as you’re accusing an entire collection of people as haters when reality is much more nuanced. And no you shouldn’t tolerate man hating or hate of any kind. In another way of saying it, without taking it too personally, I’m saying you’re blind…

So I’m arguing that women still don’t have all the rights and that thinking that doesn’t take away from mens right as the position in this subreddit would think. It’s not mutually exclusive. That’s the us vs them I’m arguing against. What about Iran and the dictatorship there? Actual lack of freedom there and feminists are fighting for that.

Unfortunately for them, women (feminists too) desire strong masculine men, even if they rage against us on social media. Biology always wins. I don’t think that’s what modern feminism is fighting against. They’re fighting against actual evil men who abuse and degrade women and oppress.

I’m saying this claim isn’t true. If we have boundaries or reservations regarding their behavior, it’s labeled as misogynistic, small dck energy, jealous, inferiority, insecure, etc etc You’re saying you as in the we of modern men can’t express boundaries without being labelled a women hater yet so you seem to have a happy marriage. If we have boundaries or reservations regarding their behavior, it’s labeled as misogynistic, small dck energy, jealous, inferiority, insecure, etc etc. Men kowtow to this thinking they’ll earn brownie points with the women in their lives and then end up in the friend zone, perpetually. Hmm, I’ll reframe then. I’m really challenging your hate of feminists. I don’t believe they as out to take away mens rights hate or hate men as you believe. And that’s because of all the issues they face I mentioned. Simply put, they have their own issues to deal with rather than hating on men. I’m sure there are actual disingenuous feminists who do hate men but my point is there are far more who are focused are their on own issues hence the quote I linked. I’m saying Reddit is not as anti men as you might perceive. And that I’m thinking you live in a echo chamber where you perceive that. Semi related by not having more female voices so when people with those issues talk about it, you perceive it in an antagonistic way. I’m challenging your hate towards feminist and wondering if focusing on building a better life for yourself would shift your worldview. If “men are x5 times stronger” doesn’t that support the point that there are dangers to women walking alone at night and hence they being told to be careful is a geniuse concern and not irrational hate?
/r/MensRights05/11/22 01:44 AM

It’s not about telling them to be careful, it’s that they have to tell them to be careful in the first place. That there even exists a danger of women being afraid to get assault while walking alone. What is TrollX Witch’s and why are you saying that?
/r/MensRights05/11/22 01:42 AM

If you talk about men's issues in a way that doesn't blame men and masculinity, and oppose narratives that do, you get downvoted. I’m countering this point. You seem to be saying there’s no open discourse to discuss men issues without being labelled a women hater and I’m saying there is.
/r/MensRights05/11/22 01:39 AM

What’s the propaganda I’m spreading? Do you seriously believe women face issues and hate from men? Do you have a sister or a mother?
/r/MensRights05/11/22 01:31 AM

My only point is that both are real issues and that it’s not exclusively us vs them. Women face real issues too hence why feminism was born. There are real women hating men who abuse and assault women. How would your feel if your sister or your mom went through that?
/r/MensRights05/11/22 01:29 AM

Until these men who are victimized are blamed for the assault, and are asked why he was walking alone, or after dark, or wearing shorts, or not carrying pepper spray they aren't comparable. not to go out after dark, not to show too much skin What about these points?

I don’t think that’s true at all. If you go in expecting hate and enemies, you get what you receive. I would advise examining your claims and if it’s actually from a place of hate or genuine criticism and doing the same for others. Tv shows can have bad writing independent of Color. Tv shows can also have tokenism. People can also hate tv shows and have been known just because of coloured leads. People can also dislike criticizing genuine weak writing and use racism as an excuse. Yet there can a…

I’m just saying that the claim that “ALL of Reddit and ALL of the internet is anti men” is hyperbolic and emotional and not logical at all. The same issue you have with women in your comment.
/r/MensRights05/11/22 01:23 AM

Is that 100% the case? Maybe it’s there not been your experience, but I’ve seen rational discussions of male issues without taking away from women issues. Maybe you just haven’t seen it. I don’t believe the world is that black or white as you seem to imply.
/r/MensRights05/11/22 01:21 AM

I don’t. I was challenging the users claim that literally ALL of the Internet is slanted to his narrow pov. What are you responding to?
/r/MensRights05/11/22 01:15 AM

Perception matters because it influences your life and your outlook. Imagine you were a black guy and the only one in a neighborhood full of white children and got hateful messages your whole life. Growing up your “world” is against you and you feel like you’re the only black guy and that being black is wrong, so it’d be natural to form anti white tendencies or dislike. How can someone truly understand your experience? Why would you believe the world is good. Now for women, if they live in a cou…

u/RockmanXX Here’s a second comment. Misandry exists and is real. So is misogyny. Women can be said in average to have it worse then men because of a class of issues but that does NOT take away from issues men face either. Both can be true. Dude I’m a guy. I never said men don’t have complex or diverse thoughts and feelings. Everyone does. It’s called being human. I do. But America is a dominant superpower and large percentage of users are American so their perception is American influenced and if all they see is male leaders all the time on news, forums and debates, then that lends credence to a male ruled perception.

/r/MensRights05/11/22 12:48 AM

Well a lot of it is the way things get posted, if the intent is more hate towards women than I can see why that would get downvoted. If the intent is to genuinely talk about and express truth about men being abused in a way that doesn’t incite hate on groups of “others” (feminists, women) etc and that you get an equal response. It’s all about how you express it and what you express.
