So, cersei Lannister deserved her punishment in GoT the original, and all uproar over her treatment should just be ignored... right? Sexual violence is justified as a punishment for bad behavior... right?

Studies have also shown an increase in Covid Survival in ICU patient by 300% of taking ivermectin. I'm assuming you ALSO read those studies... right? The whole reason ivermectin even came on the radar was that countries with heavy ivermectin usage in humans (it's also used in animals) did not have the mortality rate from covid as those where it was not used (or used to a much lesser degree). Japan was the first country to start researching ivermectin use in Covid patients.

To imply that teaching a girl she can complain about inappropriate behaviour by her male coworkers will only result in false claims against innocent men is ludicrous. Holy straw man batman. That's not what's happening. What's happening is women are making false accusations at the drop of a hat hoping or a fat pay day (obligatory not all women). We are teaching women that any time they are "uncomfortable" someone needs to be reported to HR. Hell, that's the whole concept of "microaggressions". So…

Do you have any examples of these "movements leaders"?

You mean the same ivermectin that had such strong evidence supporting it's use that it was given to the Queen of England by her doctors when she contracted Covid?

They call us incels for not wanting to be sexually harassed? They don't seem to smart then.

I get your point but seriously is there not a better way then having a wall plastered with crap that says all men must die surely there's a ton of better slogans like winter is coming etc that could be used They do. They put every slogan from the series that would sell on merchandise. "All men (mankind) must die" is just one of those.

The women's football team brought in more money than the men's. The real of their argument was that they would have made MORE if they had the men's contract. They had been offered that contract, but declined it. The funny thing is the men would have made more under the women's contract. They were offered that too, and declined it. The contract the men chose was riskier and the contract the women chose was safer. Both groups were offered both contracts.

It's equal outcome by artificially boosting the equal opportunity of women in the field. Equity... is not equality. It's discrimination.

OK sure: Hiring quotas that disadvantage men (advantaged as the field is male dominated) in order to give women equal access (disadvantaged as they are a minority in the field). Where is the equal treatment here? At least in that example a group is actually given an advantage, in this situation both men and women are at a bigger disadvantage. You mean in your statement, the result is inequality... shocking... tell me you don't listen to MRA's without telling you don't listen to MRA's.

Women don’t bring in as much money as men not just because they’re not as good, but because they don’t bring in the same number of spectators. They can't win against 14 and under boys teams. They aren't as good.

A one of life or death situation, absolutely. Them living without a parent is better than dying. Long term life situation, absolutely you have to be taken care of to take care of them. This is especially true of marriages. When your kids leave home, you will be left with just your spouse. If your marriage falls apart, your kids are massively harmed. Your children cannot have a happy childhood if you neglect your marriage. I've seen a tendency of women to make their whole lives about their childr…

Men have been treated shitty like this for all of time. Women can deal with it again. Equality is the goal of the MRM. It was never the goal of feminism.
/r/MensRights18/08/22 03:30 PM
3

Isn't "disadvantaging group A so disadvantaged group B is equal to them" the kind of thing feminists supposedly do that MRAs take issue with? Do you have an example of this, or just wanted to attack based on anything you could think of?

A feminist to post here saying that fighting for men's rights is whiney bullshit... Is this shocking anyone else?
/r/MensRights18/08/22 03:12 PM

Children should not be first in your life (even as a married couple). When an airplane decompresses, you don't put the mask on your child first. Why? Because if you pass out, then you both die. In a marriage, your marriage his first. If your marriage falls apart, then your kids are hurt. None of this is to say that you neglect your kids, just that the kids first always in everything mentality is harmful to yourself and to your kids.

Equality is always a good thing. Period. If feminists decide they don't want this situation, they are welcome to advocate for reproductive rights for all. We'd gladly join them in this fight. Instead they'll fight for discrimination where only women get reproductive rights. And I don't give a rats ass about their fight to ensure discrimination.
/r/MensRights18/08/22 03:04 PM
2

Feminists are outraged about this. Feminists have fought for 50 years to prevent men from having equal reproductive rights. Feminists now have equal reproductive rights to men (still more than men have, but we'll call it equal for discussion's sake). If feminists had fought for equal reproductive rights for all, this wouldn't even be an issue. Society would have legalized and formalized reproductive rights. Instead, they fought to ensure that there was no actual constitutional reproductive right…
/r/MensRights18/08/22 03:03 PM
4

You don't get rights by taking another's rights away, you get equally zero rights that way. Is that the kind of equality you're looking for? I'm looking for equal rights ANY WAY we can. 50 years there was the chance to give everyone rights. Instead feminists fought to keep the rights exclusive to women. Now no one has reproductive rights... oh well.
/r/MensRights18/08/22 02:58 PM
2

I agree with you, and if feminists decide to step up and do so, we'll all fight together. It won't happen, because equality hurts women. Feminists will not hurt women for the sake of equality.
/r/MensRights18/08/22 02:57 PM
2

No, the only solidarity will be if we fight for female rights only. If we want solidarity in a fight with feminists, we have to abandon any activism for men's reproductive rights.
/r/MensRights18/08/22 02:56 PM
3

One step closer? No. We're closer NOW than we've ever been. Feminists have incentive to get men on board with changes to reproductive rights. They've never had that incentive before, and if abortion becomes legal again, never will again. We have never been before, and never will be again, this close to a discussion of men's reproductive rights.
/r/MensRights18/08/22 02:55 PM
2

How has it gone to far? Here we have an example where women are throwing fits because they have to be equal to men.... (with no reproductive rights). Yeah, I'd say it's gone too far.
/r/MensRights18/08/22 02:52 PM
2

Reproductive rights are something only women should be allowed? In the states where abortion is banned, we currently have equal reproductive rights between men and women. I'm absolutely good with that. If removing reproductive rights from women is the only way to achieve equal rights, then so be it.

This type of thing is as old as society. We've always had a massive bias in favor of women. It's just that in recent times women have been demanding the rights men have without the responsibilities men have and calling that equality.

The right to vote was not a move towards equality. Men are allowed to vote in exchange for military conscription responsibilities. Men had a positive inequality (ability to vote) and a negative inequality (military conscription) around voting. A right and a responsibility. They balanced out. Women decided they wanted the benefits men got for the responsibility men had, without the responsibility men had. There are fairly regular comments in this sub saying some iteration of "women are basically children". Yep. That is the way they are treated by society. Women are treated like children for their bad behavior. You don't want people pointing that out, then do something to change it. Also within the last few days there was a comment saying something along the lines of (something being) "proof that women are unable to make rational decisions". Got a link?
/r/MensRights03/08/22 03:07 PM

Would you risk losing access to your child? If a court decides custody, there's a 50% chance you'll get less custody, a 12% chance you'll get better custody, and it will take two years of paying a lawyer (while paying child support and supporting yourself) to get through it. Is that risk worth it to you?

Sucks doesn’t it. And I don’t agree with it as far as what’s fair for men, but it is telling that now that women can be forced to have babies, men can be up in arms about their own bodies being invaded in that way You mean the way men have been treated all along? Interesting that you are just noticing this injustice that has been done to men, when women are being relegated to equal reproductive rights....
/r/MensRights28/07/22 03:16 PM

Only marginally. The difference in IQ is 2.1 points. It's better to be raised in a 2 parent family, but the benefit doesn't outweigh the problems of trying to force that.

That study? Again? Fathers who push for custody have a 12% chance of getting better than the default, and a 50% chance of getting worse custody. The average push for custody takes 2 years. The study defines any custody as a win for the father, even if it's just a weekend in the summer.

/r/MensRights09/06/22 02:47 PM

This IS a blow to women, but a victory for victims. Women had the power to accuse a man and ruin his life. While this doesn't destroy that power completely, it does dull the blade a little.

You've made a fallacious argument repeatedly. You've made the argument that women suffer more in one month of pregnancy than men do over 26 years of forced work. Not sure that's an argument you can support though...
/r/MensRights09/05/22 05:35 PM

I was arguing that the % of lifetime impacted is a terrible metric. Which you haven't actually made a valid argument for. Why are you suddenly not wanting to talk about that? we've talked about that ad nauseam.

If proving definitively that she's lying isn't enough for the average person to believe him, then you've proved my point for me.
/r/MensRights06/05/22 01:10 PM

Whether a woman spending a month pregnant is less of a harm than financially enslaving a man for 18-26 years? Yes.... They aren't even comparable.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 10:26 PM

Men who use sexual entertainment are definitely looked down upon and must play by very strict rules. Women on the other hand have no rules. They can do just about anything they want with male strippers, and male strippers have no protections whatsoever.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 10:22 PM

So, you are using "unfairly" to equate to "not your choice"? Is that accurate? If that's the case, then you agree with my point. Glad to hear it.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 10:20 PM
1

I suppose you could put her claims into question, yes. Providing video evidence that she lied is just "calling her claims into question"? But will it be enough that the average person believes him? If proving definitively that she's lying isn't enough for the average person to believe him, then you've proved my point for me.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 10:19 PM

How is this an "unfair" situation? You still have to answer this question.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 09:06 PM
2

How could we show that Johnny wasn’t abusive as well, or that he did fucked up things on drugs? By showing that every claim she's made has been a lie. Amber - "When the police got there the apartment was destroyed with trails of wine down the hall" Police Body Cam footage - "Completely clean house with no wine mess anywhere"
/r/MensRights05/05/22 09:05 PM
1

You’re refusing to answer because you can’t defend your argument. Pointing out your misrepresenting the premise IS an answer. It’s applying the metric to an unfair situation How is this an "unfair" situation?
/r/MensRights05/05/22 06:13 PM
1

I fully understand the premise! You’re just dodging the complaint. You fully understand the premise, so then you misrepresent the premise? So, are you intentionally misrepresenting the premise, or are you not capable of understanding it in the first place? Suppose you unfairly, through no choice of your own, incur a debt that must be paid off by either making monthly payments of $1 for the rest of your life or making a lump sum payment of $500,000. Except that's misrepresenting the premise.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 04:37 PM
2

Without evidence, how can we know? You mean the literal ton of evidence that Johnny Depp has provided proving her lying time and time again?
/r/MensRights05/05/22 03:34 PM
1

I've been in several discussions with groups of people at different social events. The general consensus among regular people is, they were both shitty and abusive people.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 03:25 PM
1

Metric = (time impacted) / (total lifetime) Metric = (time impacted with no choice) / (total lifetime) That's been the metric from the start. Answer the question, are you lying or do you simply not understand the premise you are discussing?
/r/MensRights05/05/22 03:15 PM
1

I see more support for Depp currently on Twitter than I do in the real world.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 03:12 PM
1

This is information NOT conveyed by the % of life metric. That is literally the metric. That's why we're choosing pregnant rather than anything after when a woman has a clear choice. Are you being dishonest, or do you actually not understand the basis for the discussion we're having?
/r/MensRights05/05/22 02:01 PM
1

It’s a metric that shouldn’t be used when making these considerations! You haven't provided any actual argument to support this statement.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 01:53 PM
2

i'd yanno, still consider that sexual assault So do we, which is why we're anti-feminists.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 01:52 PM
2

Then the entire world are idiots, because they blindly listen to the woman every time.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 01:51 PM
3

Right? I mean, feminists smears against the MRM all make absolutely perfect sense if you just understand that they think we're doing to women what feminists do to men.
/r/MensRights05/05/22 01:50 PM
2

When you say “a women does not get pregnant without extreme negligence” it implies her responsibly and takes agency away from men If a woman's body gets pregnant, it's the result of her choices. Period. All of the choices that lead to her body getting pregnant were hers. Her body, her choice, eveyone else's responsibility?
/r/MensRights05/05/22 01:49 PM
16

Well, we all agree we shouldn’t blindly listen to accusers. We'll be back to blindly listening to accusers in no time. Thanks for sharing your pessimism, i guess Realism more than pessimism. Johnny Depp is famous, beloved, and has the wealth necessary to fight the accusation and make it public enough to get the information out. That is the ONLY reason we're seeing this. The next guy who's not any of those things will be right back where he's always been.

No, my original point was that the metric was arbitrary and bad. And yet, you've never provided anything to back that up. Again, Suppose you must either make monthly payments of $1 for the rest of your life or make a lump sum payment of $500,000. The "flaw" (it's not a flaw, it's a blatant bias) in your point is that one of those is forced, and one of those is a choice. Women CHOOSE to give birth. Men are forced into child support payments. Hell, women choose to remain pregnant. If you can't put…

I am sure statistically men are abused less, Sexually and physically? Not really. Women raping a man is defined as not rape. It's "made to penetrate".

They would still be calling or Depp's head if he didn't provide a literal ton of evidence proving he was innocent and she was violent. They don't care. They won't care. This won't really change anything.

No, you’re moving goalposts by now arguing the relative costs to men and women of a pregnancy and how much choice they had in it. You mean, the original discussion? So, I've moved the goalposts.... to what the discussion was originally? That's an odd point to attempt to make. the % of life metric is arbitrary. You haven't made any point that pointed to it being arbitrary. Engage with that or admit that I’m right. All of your points have been disproven. There's nothing left to engage with.

Why is it not a man’s responsibility to wear a condom? Can you point to anywhere where I stated a man was not responsible for wearing a condom?

Feminists tend to assume that advocacy for men means fighting women. Feminists tend to assume that MRA's view women the way feminists view men.

You may want to mention that in the discussion in this same forum where people seem to be ok with overturning Roe v Wade. I'm confused on your point here. Men have zero bodily autonomy rights. Men have zero reproductive rights. Since men already have far fewer rights in these areas than women do, what are men unwilling to do that women are being asked to do?

You are not allowed to move the goalposts in a conversation. No matter how much you may wish to. What people have no choice in... is a reasonable comparison. Comparing what women CHOOSE to do with what men are FORCED to do... now that's moving the goalposts.... HARD.

What’s the actual typical PV dollar cost for child support compared to cost of birthing a child, especially if the birther is uninsured? What's the dollar cost of a choice she makes versus something forced on him? If she doesn't want to pay to birth a child, she's free to choose not to do so. And how does one assign a dollar value on being forced to carry a fetus to term and undergo giving birth? Funny, even in the strictest US states, no one is forced to carry a fetus to term. They’re literally…

No, you just made the claim that it was arbitrary. Repeating a claim doesn't make it true. Doesn't make it valid. Do you have any basis for this being an arbitrary metric?

"It's a terrible metric". Based on what? I get you don't like it. But what makes it a terrible metric? There has to be more than "you just don't like it".

Ah, so you just don't like it. Gotcha. LOL. At least you're honest that you're trolling.

https://www.smh.com.au/world/north-america/johnny-depp-sexually-assaulted-amber-heard-says-psychologist-20220504-p5aicx.html But Hughes said there’s a difference in the violence when a smaller person strikes at a larger person, and that Depp’s violence was intimidating and threatened her safety, but Heard’s violence did not have the same effect on Depp. One of them had to have body parts reattached... I'm not sure how that doesn't make someone feel threatened...

Yes, measuring purely in time is arbitrary. What measurement would you choose if not time? Money? Men spend far more as a result of something they have no choice in when it comes to kids than women do. Why don't you just clearly state what metric you think is appropriate?

My complaint is that the metric is arbitrary The metric of the time spent dealing with the results you didn't have a choice in... is arbitrary? When talking about dealing with the results of things you didn't have a choice in? I get that you want "choosing" to raise the child to be included in the women's side of thing, but in discussions of things you didn't have a choice in, that makes no sense... unless your only goal is to ignore the topic and try to make women look like the worse off....

No, the metric of “% of total lifetime impacted by pregnancy” is a purely arbitrary metric. Keep up. Maybe this will help. The metric is... "% of total lifetime dealing with something you didn't have a choice in". Does that help you keep up with the conversation?

But it’s still a purely arbitrary metric. The parts where neither gets a choice is an arbitrary metric? I get that you don't like it, but that's the thing that makes the most sense.

I'm sorry, are you claiming that women don't have a choice in their choices?

arbitrarily choose pregnancy as the only part impacting the lifetime. You mean the part where it might not be her choice to be impacted? The rest is 100% her choice.

36 different forms of birth control, all covered by insurance in the US (by law). All 99% effective. A woman does not get pregnant without extreme negligence. A condom and any form of birth control are 99.9999999999% effective. Add in the morning after pill and it's so close to 100% effective, there's no point in claiming it's not.

You have a right to bodily autonomy. Except when it comes to labor. You are forced to work once you have a child (as a man), or go to jail. You can't even go back to school to get a better job, because you are legally required to continue your job. Can you imagine a woman being thrown in jail because she quit her job to go back to school? No? That would be an egregious violation of her freedom right? And yet, you have no problem doing that to men...

1% of her life which could be an accident. The rest is a woman's choice. She has the choice to abort the baby, or to have the child. The woman has the choice to financially enslave a man for 23% of his life.
