Child support is nothing more than a transfer of wealth from one parent to the other. The receiving parent is free to do whatever they choose with that money tax free. Florida is an income shares state. You take the income of both parties plus the number of overnights each parent spends with the child. You had a choice when it came to the custody plan. You have had 50/50 for years. The mother would need a significant change of circumstance to change from 50/50.
