Carries a maximum jail sentence of 4 to 8 years. I only did a quick google search for where it occurred and the age of consent. I did not however check if it's illegal for a student and teacher to have a sexual/romantic relationship. While it may not be illegal, it is 1000% very immoral/unethical and the teacher should definitely be at least fired from her job. I was about to post this on r/rage. But then I did some research, this happened in Queensland, Australia. The age of consent there is 16. Which is how the age of the student she was involved with. It says she was acquitted of “unlawful carnal knowledge” which is having sex with someone underaged.
