Bullshit. I live in the Midwest. I make $60k. I have incredible health insurance through my job. And five grand in savings in case something breaks. And own a home. And a car. And am taking an international trip to Europe this summer with the new boyfriend, who also makes around $60k. If you aren’t on the coasts, $50k is totally fine for living a reasonable middle class life.

No one said that. Where I live, about 50k will do. Pay your own bills with a steady job instead of mooching off me.

No. I’ve been with less than half that. What I’m looking to do is weed out partners that really like a lot of casual sex, which is not my thing, So the actual number doesn’t matter really— there isn’t a magic number. I’ve never had sex with someone I wasn’t in a relationship with. I enjoy dating men with similar morals although a little casual sex in his past is fine.

Depends on age. What is high at 20 isn't high if you are still single at 35. I'm closer to 35 than 20. If a man my age has been with over 30 people, I worry his views on sexuality are not compatible with mine.
/r/ExRedPill16/08/22 07:03 PM

I think the big difference is what is considered "high" is often different for men and women.

Alright, dude. There is no convincing you or saving you. You don’t have perfect bone structure so no one will ever love you. Please stop bothering me.
/r/ExRedPill09/08/22 03:28 AM
1

So are you, man. The difference is that I’m a woman so on the topic of what women want, I automatically know more than you. I know tons of hot, poor men who cannot hold on to a woman to save their lives. They might get laid occasionally, but no one stays because they can’t hold down a good job. Honestly, a man making 300k a year who is single is either autistic/terrible personality or holding out for someone WAY more attractive then he is.
/r/ExRedPill09/08/22 03:23 AM

Also, the thread you linked was just “ do you prefer faces or bodies?” Obviously faces are more important than bodies. Faces are not more important than personality and career success.
/r/ExRedPill09/08/22 03:16 AM
2

My original disagreement is that a kind, ripped, interesting millionaire is not going to be “light years” behind in terms of how many women he pulls compared to a short, poor guy with a nice face. That’s just silly. A tall, ripped millionaire will do just fine.
/r/ExRedPill09/08/22 03:15 AM
1

No, they really haven’t. Several are men. One or two have. I’m not saying body is better than face. I’m saying personality and career success are better than face.
/r/ExRedPill09/08/22 03:12 AM
2

Man, I could not disagree more strongly. Personality is everything for me. After that, success and motivation. Then face. Then body.

I’m sad about your life. Feel free to check out my post history. I’m not a troll. Just someone trying to help desperate guys on here. I hope you change to our mind.
/r/ExRedPill08/08/22 03:19 AM
1

Why ask here? If you don’t believe the things women say? Good luck being sad. Giving us because your face isn’t perfect. I’m blocking you but I feel so sad for you and your belief that women will only be attracted to you if you if you have perfect bone structure.
/r/ExRedPill08/08/22 03:08 AM
1

Yes. I am above average. Which makes me the best person to answer your questions. Above average women care about other things.
/r/ExRedPill08/08/22 03:06 AM

I have never seen a single woman say this. You are wrong.
/r/ExRedPill08/08/22 02:55 AM

Not at all. But I’ve been intensely physically attracted to ugly, funny men. Women and men work differently when it comes to physical attraction.
/r/ExRedPill08/08/22 02:54 AM
2

Let me be clear: the women you have talked to are saying they will pick a good face over every other thing? Over brains? Humor? Money? Because I don’t believe you. I don’t believe they are saying that.
/r/ExRedPill08/08/22 02:43 AM

Sorry you don’t understand how this works. Friends will tell you what they think you want to hear. Internet strangers are honest.
/r/ExRedPill08/08/22 02:38 AM
1

Your friends are lying to you. Yes. Or you aren’t being honest about what you asked. If you ask me whether I want a good face or a good body, I will pick face. If you ask me if I’d I want a good face or tall, kind, interesting, built, and a millionaire, that’s totally different. No where in this post did you say the short guy had a good personality. You said the millionaire had a good personality. That makes all the difference.
/r/ExRedPill08/08/22 02:22 AM
2

Uh, no, I’m not. First, most women will pick personality over anything. I don’t give two shits about your face if you are smart and funny. If you are a smart and funny millionaire? I barely care at all. Second, women are not a monolith. I don’t believe most women will pick an asshole who is 5’7” with a nice face over a smart kind millionaire with an average face. But I also don’t believe that all women agree on every single thing. Edit: also, where? Show me the other women in this thread who are…

If he has a great body, personality, and makes a shit ton of money? Yes, I would be far more willing to sleep with him than a guy with a “good face.” You have no idea what women want.
/r/ExRedPill08/08/22 01:14 AM

Really?! You think a guy making 50k a year with a nice face will be “light years” a head of a tall, ripped, kind millionaire?!! You must be joking.

I’m pretty sure you can’t actually read the peer reviewed evidence so I didn’t bother sending that. If you look at my post history you’ll see that I’m a college professor with a PhD. I honestly just didn’t think you could read journal articles. Your anecdotal evidence is right above. You just said lots of people are harmed by divorce which is completely anecdotal. You have no data to back that up. Edit: Blocking you now. Your post history shows you are basically rubbing two brain cells together …
/r/ExRedPill03/08/22 02:17 AM

Your anecdotal experience also means little then, right? Studies show 80% of Children have no negative effects from divorce. Educate yourself before you spew bullshit on the Internet. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/splitopia/201503/yes-you-can-raise-happy-children-after-divorce

How old are you?
/r/ExRedPill01/08/22 05:56 PM

My point is that you don't actually have any clue what either of those alternatives is like. You were "almost" in a relationship with someone who wasn't a good match for you. You think you would like casual sex but have never had it in your life (many people don't enjoy it). Take it easy and stop making up entire personal philosophies on things you don't know much about.
/r/ExRedPill01/08/22 05:30 PM
10

You are a virgin who has never been in a real relationship before, but just wrote over 500 words on how you don't think relationships will suit you and want to be a "casual sex guy." At this point, it doesn't really look like either of those options are open to you. Or that you actually have any basis to know which of the two you prefer.

My equal in money, status, and education. I don’t know about your HR ladies, but they might want someone equal to them in education as well, although not all women care about that. Money isn’t everything.

I assume you are a dude who has never lived on 1200 calories a day and turned down every morsel of sweets for a year to have a figure men find attractive. Quality men don’t date fat chicks, and some of us have VERY slow metabolisms. I disagree that more is expected of men. Each gender has its price to pay in some ways. Making money was fun and easy for me; being beautiful was not.
/r/ExRedPill14/07/22 01:52 AM

I argue with him but it doesn't do much good. It's just weird to see a man who raised three awesome, successful women (two of which have been married for YEARS and one who is single) fall prey to thoughts like that.
/r/ExRedPill13/07/22 08:57 PM
18

That's one of the things that annoys me about Redpill and some of the the men posting here. They say women want men with "money and status" but fail to make a distinction between women who are waiting around the date millionaires, and the vast majority of us who just want someone stable who doesn't have to borrow money from us all the time.
/r/ExRedPill13/07/22 08:42 PM
39

To be fair, while I don't give a shit about "hot guys" anymore, I actually care more about financial stability than I did in my 20s. Hell, I wasn't financially stable then, so dating some guy who didn't have a car and was sleeping on his sister's couch wasn't really a huge deal. Now I have a good job and a house, and if my partner doesn't have the same, I worry all the time. What if his car breaks down and I don't have the savings to help out and fix it? How will he get to his shitty job then? W…

My dad has been sucked into the manosphere too. He's 76! I was always proud of how well he navigates the internet and now it's a double edged sword. Mostly, he just complains about how he read on Reddit about how much women cheat, how they get bored, how they leave for no reason. It's actually more MGTOW in flavor than redpill. The sad thing is I know what's happened. He had three marriages before the age of 35 and none of them worked out so he quit trying with women forty years ago. Now as he's…

What are you talking about? Did you read the two articles I sent you? They both have numbers and data on the happiness of men vs women while single. https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2019/may/25/women-happier-without-children-or-a-spouse-happiness-expert https://www.businessinsider.com/why-women-are-happier-when-theyre-single-than-men-2017-11

Please show me. Where is his data showing that single men are happier than single women? I read the entire article. No studies. No numbers. Just his thoughts on the matter.

Data. Numbers. Not one man’s opinion piece.
/r/ExRedPill07/07/22 07:18 PM

Dude... I send you studies, and you send me some random guys opinion on a blog. Come on, man. Get it together.
/r/ExRedPill07/07/22 07:16 PM

The redpill's entire premise is that women can get laid any time time they want and that most men are doomed to a life of loneliness... but this dude doesn't know any unhappily single men. Lol.
/r/ExRedPill07/07/22 07:04 PM

The problem is that it's not really an "opinion." Study after study has documented that women seem to be happier when single than men are. Here is an article on it. And another.

Got it. Sounds like she's playing a few games herself. Best of luck to you!
/r/ExRedPill19/06/22 04:40 PM
3

That, I can't really tell you. Sometimes the very same people who say "I don't want to play games" are actually playing games themselves. I'm not sure posting on Instagram with another woman was the right move, but also if she was being totally straight and honest, it wouldn't have bothered her. The direct communication up front works on a couple of levels. The second level is that if you say you like her, stop texting if she is not interested, and then she contacts you and plays games with your…

Again, when she said that she didn't want a relationship for the very first time, the correct response would have been "gees, that's so disappointing! I'm really in to you and regret having this fall apart all those year ago. If you even change your mind, please let me know!" And then don't text her any more and get over it. She said she didn't want a relationship but you kept texting with her. Obviously, you were still holding on to the possibility of being with her, which is why you are postin…

Honestly, sounds like you are playing games to me, so I don’t blame her. Not playing games would have looked like this: “I’m really romantically interested in you but you keep saying you don’t want a relationship. But I feel like I’m getting mixed signals here with you texting me all the time and then pulling back and ignoring me, which frankly, hurts. Mind giving me some insight into what’s going on in your head?” No guessing games, no pics of you with other women on Instagram. Just straight an…

I think there is a threshold. Most women aren't holding out for a millionaire. But they want someone who has a nice apartment or house, their own car, and a full-time job that is actually a career. They don't want someone who will have to live off them. It would be nice to have the money to go out to dinner every now and again. I don't think this is the same as "wanting men for their money" (particularly when the woman has often earned all those things for herself), but it seems like that is too…

Huh. Cool. I guess we just disagree on this but thanks for your opinion. Sex is a deeply meaningful communion of souls for me. That doesn’t mean it can’t be fun and dirty— but it should be more than just bodies bumping in the dark to me. I wouldn’t love a history of prostitutes but a history of casual sex would be just a bad. I think a fair number of women feel like this, but I guess it’s hard to estimate how many.
/r/ExRedPill06/06/22 01:44 AM
1

Hmm… it’s hard to estimate. I do think a significant amount of women in the population are turned off by a man who sleeps with prostitutes. I’d be a guy’s friend. But you wouldn’t be turned off by that at all when evaluating a man for a relationship?
/r/ExRedPill06/06/22 01:32 AM
1

I recognize some people are different than me. That’s cool. I felt compelled to comment because OP isn’t different from me. So I thought my perspective would help. I don’t really give two shits about virginity itself. I do care that my mate has a track record of mostly sleeping with people he cares for, because I believe sex should be meaningful and want my partner to believe the same.
/r/ExRedPill06/06/22 01:20 AM
1

Of course not. But my advice was for OP. He is a person who wants sex with meaning so he’s probably going to eventually want a partner that wants the same. And women who want that are going to judge him for sleeping with escorts. So he’ll have to be judged or lie. You want a woman who has a bunch of casual, meaningless sex? Great. I have a few lovely friends like that. They probably won’t care too much morally if a man has seen a prostitute, although honestly they are the type of people who woul…
/r/ExRedPill04/06/22 10:16 PM

You’re missing the point. I’ve never had “just sex.” I don’t believe in it really. I’ve only had sex with people I care for. I’d like to have a partner who doesn’t really want “just sex” either.
/r/ExRedPill03/06/22 11:18 PM
5

Put it this way— you want to be bonded to have sex. While some women may not have any issues with you sleeping with escorts, the type of women you want to eventually date (women who also want to be bonded to have sex) are the same women most likely to think sleeping with escorts is not great. I don’t think of it as shameful and I would never think a man was a terrible person for sleeping with a prostitute. But I wouldn’t want to date him. It’s an issue of shared values.
/r/ExRedPill03/06/22 07:28 PM
4

I’ve stopped commenting on the escort stuff, because most of the time I’m too busy to have a long Reddit argument. But contrary to what a couple of people have said in this thread, people really do care who you have had your first sexual experience with. At least I do and I don’t really think that most women are so different from me. It might not be a dealbreaker, but it would give me a moment of pause to know that someone I was seriously considering dating had lost their virginity to an escort.…

I’ve never understood why wanting a man who makes a certain amount of money is considered so awful around here. I do. I don’t want a provider. But I DO want a man who makes a certain amount of money. I broke up with an ex partly for this issue. Let me explain. I make a decent amount. Not six figures but close. It’s not from luck but from tons of work, school, student loan debt, scholarships. I own my own car, house, and have a savings account. For five years, I dated a wonderful and kind man who…

What I’m saying though is average male height is 5’9”. The percentage of men who are actually shorter than the average woman is so small it’s not even worth talking about. I’m 5’3”. I’ve never even met a man shorter than me. I’ve literally never rejected a man because of height and I’m close to average for an American female. And 30-40% of the female population is even shorter than I am! Most of the guys on Reddit would have you think that men under 5’8” are destined to be alone forever. In real…

I generally don’t let men pay for me entirely until we are actually dating (then we take turns). Some guys feel entitled to sex if you let them pay. So I almost always go 50/50 for the first couple dinners. If I decide I might have sex with you, then I let you pay. Ha.

It even has a name: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death-grip_syndrome I haven’t seen it “destroy” anyone’s sexuality, but definitely had a partner where he had to go two weeks without masturbating so he could finish with me. Just got too used to his hand. The abstaining for several weeks fixed the issue.

And do you think the average 22 year old dude out there is actively seeking and only consuming ethical porn? Because I really don’t. And if they are not, my point still stands.

Articles will give you a good start. Two other tips: 1) Make sure you know the anatomy. Look at close up pictures of women parts and make sure you know where the clitoris is. 2) When you get a partner, just ask her if she likes what you are doing! No shame in that because every woman will be different. Some want it harder, others softer, some right on the clit, some around it. There’s a lot of variation!
/r/ExRedPill17/05/22 02:54 PM
14

Honestly, there are better resources than porn. Even if you could find porn that shows a woman receiving oral sex, the camera guy can’t get close enough to show exactly what he’s doing with his tongue to make her happy (if he’s really pleasing her at all— she’s and actress who is paid to act)! If you don’t want a book (there are many), start by googling “how to make a woman orgasm through oral sex.” There are so many articles!
/r/ExRedPill17/05/22 02:37 PM
18

Right? Wouldn’t it be crazy if we lived in a world where porn showed good models for what happy, pleasurable sex actually looks like between two people?
/r/ExRedPill17/05/22 02:08 PM
49

Where to start? 1) It develops extremely unreasonable expectations for what women are going to look like. 2) It develops unrealistic expectations for how actual sex is going to happen. Real women don’t fuck the cable guy. They don’t do a lot of the sexual behaviors seen in porn (I started to list them but it got gross really fast.) 3) Furthermore, it’s almost always extremely abusive to the women in porn. Women are called “bitch” and “slut” all the time. Many women in real life are going to kick…

Do you live in a big urban area or a smaller rural one? Places like NY and California are crawling with single 30 year olds. Also, anywhere people have been focusing on their careers. Academia. Medicine.
/r/ExRedPill15/05/22 11:55 AM

And I disagree. I think you are getting stuck on wording that doesn’t matter. I meant a nice woman that most men would be pleased to hang with. That’s it. Have a lovely evening.
/r/ExRedPill15/05/22 05:21 AM
9

Probably because I think an average woman is high quality— most women who are solid 5s or 6s are a high quality mate. I didn’t mean to imply high quality meant to top ten percent of the population.
/r/ExRedPill15/05/22 05:18 AM

Semantics. Sure. I’ll use “nice girl” or “desirable mate” from here on out. Not a hill I’m going to die on.

True. They have a better chance following my advice though than sitting around on Reddit, wallowing in sadness. And my completely uninformed guess is that about 50% of the dudes on here that identify as incels could be happily partnered with effort, work, and time.

I think we are just going to disagree on this. Men get WAY better in bed after their 20s. I'm not sure how you define "physical prime" but statistically, women find sex more satisfying in our 30s and have more orgasms. Sex got so much better in my 30s. This is in part because we are in our sexual peaks then, but also because, sorry to put it bluntly, men learn how to fuck properly.
/r/ExRedPill15/05/22 12:58 AM

Aren't happy, sure. But that speaks to your point and to my original post. Why are they so pissed off now? There has always been dudes not getting laid in their 20s. What I was originally trying to say is that up until now, there hasn't been such rage about it. There weren't angry communities of incels that rallied around hating women. You think it's because people aren't honest. I think it's because TV and social media teaches men that everyone else is getting laid by really hot women all the t…
/r/ExRedPill15/05/22 12:47 AM

I guess I don't know what you would consider "hot" or "high quality." So that doesn't matter. My advice was if you have no one at all in your twenties, get a career (like, even become a doctor), wait till your 30s, and have an excellent life with a normal person with another solid career. Life doesn't end at 25. Spend your 20s plotting an planning for a life in your 30s, not complaining and hating on women on reddit.
/r/ExRedPill15/05/22 12:39 AM
13

That I strongly disagree with and that’s my point. Lots of high quality women in their 30s are looking for long term relationships with men who have their shit together. Casual sex in droves? Hard. One 32 year old woman who is decent looking, kind, and employed? Not so hard for a man who has the same.
/r/ExRedPill15/05/22 12:31 AM

Lol, to guys being in their sexual prime in high school. That's the funniest thing I have heard in forever. This is the problem that my partner was talking about. You're very young and have no perspective. 1) A man who works hard on himself dramatically increases his value to women throughout his 20s. You got a nice place to live at 21? A good career? Pretty much no one does and women want that stuff. A high quality woman does not want some joker with no prospects living in mom's basement. 2) On…

Can’t change the past. Can do it differently in the future. Mature humans don’t hit. From now on out, the first time you are hit, you let them know that’s not acceptable. End it. That day.

Two bits of advice: 1) Don't go into female friendships expecting "sex and relationships" to grow out of it. That's not a friendship. That's waiting to get laid. 2) Don't be friends with assholes. If someone's hitting you or being unkind to you, you don't have to let them "get away with it." If you aren't getting the same things out of it that you get out of friendships with guys (some sort of fun and companionship but presumably no sex), just call it off and walk. They didn't get away with anyt…

Lots to offer, just not enough time. My post history is a bit different than yours. I'm too busy with an incredible career and home, traveling the world with friends, and spending time with an amazing romantic partner to spend time talking to dudes who really don't want to understand or change, who just wallow in hatred. I'm blocking you now.

You date a lot of ugly women? Men are no different with female beauty. You put on 50 pounds and they are gone. That's my point. Study after study has shown that yes, women value resources more than men, and men value physical attractiveness more than women. That's the way people are. Deal. Personally, I don't hate men for it. I play the game. I keep up my appearance, watch my weight, go to the gym, do my hair and make up. But all of you guys on here complaining that women want you to have a stab…

Man, you actually sounded really sensible until the last line... Here's the thing-- women are attracted to men who make something of themselves, who have hobbies and careers and a car and a place to live. That's not really something to demonize women over any more than we should demonize men for being attracted to youth and beauty. Advising men to try to focus on getting those things is a great idea! What's a shitty idea is advising men to hold on to bitterness when they get there. That would be…

100%. I agree. Which is one of the reasons I am pro-legalization. Prostitution isn’t so different from selling your body working hard labor in a coal mine because you don’t have other economic options. But to be honest, I also wouldn’t date a boss who employed impoverished workers in a coal mine either.

You don’t think that your opinion as someone who is involved in sex work might be biased here? Imagine the regular American woman. You really don’t think that the average American girl is going to judge a guy for seeing a sex worker?
/r/ExRedPill10/05/22 04:29 PM
4

No. I’m making the point that you have things that you would judge in someone’s past. I have things that I would judge in someone’s past. Seeing escorts is one of those things I would judge. My point is that everybody’s morals are different.
/r/ExRedPill10/05/22 04:27 PM
6

So if I man molested children before you or slept with his sister, that cool because it’s his past? I still do judge people by their pasts, as do many of OPs potential sex partners in the future.
/r/ExRedPill10/05/22 04:24 PM
1

Yes. The gender of who is paying doesn’t matter. I judge you different if you have a body count of 50 people who slept with you for free than a body count of 50 people you paid. My point is not that complicated.
/r/ExRedPill10/05/22 04:22 PM
1

Sorry. I corrected that one single typo so you can read it now.
/r/ExRedPill10/05/22 04:19 PM

Look, my point was two-fold: 1) I judge a woman who has had sex with 50 dudes for fun differently than one who has paid 50 women for sex. Whether you like it or not, those are two different things. 2) Your comment “no one judges you for sleeping with escorts” is just wrong. Many (if not most) women are going to be turned off if a potential dating parter has slept with 150 escorts.

I literally have several close friends in sex work who have told me what it’s like for them. Just because it isn’t like that for you does not mean it’s not like that for many prostitutes.

Im for prostitution legalization because I don’t want women with no options to starve or have their children starve. That doesn’t mean that the men who pay for them aren’t gross. You’re literally using someone who hates every minute of this for their body. Yes, I totally judge that. Your post implies that judging a woman who consensually has sex is the same as judging a man who pays starving women for their bodies. Your post is about a lot of things but at the heart of it I feel the need to point this out: There is a difference between being judged for consensual unpaid sexual activity between two people, and being judged for having sex with someone who doesn’t want to have sex with you but has to to pay their bills. Comparing apples and oranges here.

Yes. Most of us don't care that much. A minority care a little, and a very small minority care a lot (usually, in my experience, tall women who would like their partner to be taller than them).
/r/ExRedPill05/05/22 05:05 PM
27

I keep trying here, but it doesn't really work. 1) Most of us don't really care all that much. 2) For those who care, height may be a factor, but it's one out of many factors we use to make decisions. 3) For the relatively small proportion of women who really care, your height will be an asset (a small amount of women, usually tall women, do have strong height preferences-- while I have met lots of women who don't care, I have never met one with a very strong short preference). 4) Focus on other…

I kind of feel that way too. I won't say I wouldn't date someone above 6' (as we all have been trying to say on here, height just isn't a big deciding factor for some women and I'm one of them). But ideal for me would be 5'7" to 5'9". I'm short af. I get a kink in my neck when I have to look way up at people all the time. Plus, they squash me during sex.
/r/ExRedPill04/05/22 09:32 PM

You are apparently not going to accept “yes” as an answer. I dated a guy who is 5’6”. He broke my heart. Some of the best sex of my life though. I still see him around and get the shivers. My best friend is married to a man who is 5’5”. I would never say anything to her, but if she hadn’t nabbed him, I would have. One of the best men I’ve ever known. Current boyfriend is 5’7”. But that’s above you completely arbitrary range. I still would have loved him if he was an inch shorter.

Women are not a monolith. But there are mean values that have been established. There is no study on earth saying that women, on average, prefer an eight-inch penis. Science is not infallible, but it's the best source of information we have. He certainly shouldn't pay attention to "what women want." That is true. The four inches was fine. 5-6 is perfect for me, but again, women don't date for penis size. I'm not out here rejecting great guys for having a four inch penis. That's just not how it works. And go read a little about sex. It's not a claim, but something that has been documented over and over. The reason most women don't orgasm during sex has nothing to do with penis size and everything to do with having a clitoris. He made me laugh and think. For those qualities, I will overlook a penis I don't like (also have an long term ex who was four inches). Unfortunately, he couldn't hold down a job so I left. You are living in a dream world if you think women really stay with men for five years for penises. You do know most women don't even have orgasms that way, right?

When you empathize with someone who believes he must be 6'6" with an eight inch cock to find love, all you do is feed their delusion. I am empathic that he feels lost and alone. I'm not going to because it's tacky, but as a small woman who has never had any children (so is on the small side down there)... I feel like I could write a solid list of why a 5-6 inch penis is perfect and I wouldn't want any bigger.

And if you have been so brainwashed by society that a mate that is a 6/10 with a good heart won’t do, you should think about that some more and seek therapy? I support awareness on all these issues, but I don't think misrepresenting them does anyone any good. For example, yes, far more men commit suicide than women, but this has almost nothing to do with rates of depression at all. It's pretty well accepted that higher male sucide rates have to do with men preferentially selecting more lethal ways to go (guns vs pills). Women attempt suicide at much greater rates, and females have higher rates of depression. For some of these, there really is a socia…

I agree with this entirely, but think it's worth adding that the reasons for accumulating a high N for men and women are, on average, different. Pardon me while I paint with a very broad brush, but the women I know with an N over 30 are not doing it because they love casual sex-- they do it because they are looking for something more and can't find it/keep getting dumped. That sounds about right. I actually make more than my boyfriend, but he paid for our first couple of dates (to relatively inexpensive places). I liked that and appreciated it. Now we do 50/50. If one person is paying for every single thing in a LTR, there's probably a problem.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/17 05:52 PM
2

I know. I was overstating it a little to make just that point... still though... I don't want to date a guy who things sex and a handshake are the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/17 02:23 AM
2

I'm not at all. To each his own. I just think it's important for all of these "studs" to remember that a lot of good women won't have them (should they ever decide to settle down) if they've fucked everyone in town... you know, the same thing TRP says to women every day.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/17 01:11 AM
1

Like I said, not arguing this one with you because you don't want to listen. I'm sure 60% of women have had a one night stand once upon a time. For many of them, that's a one time thing. There just isn't legions of college girls out there, having ONS over and over again and not looking for anything else.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 08:29 PM
3

Not sure where I said that. I was saying that there are no papers/citations that contradict the statement "our sexual attraction towards men doesn't come from physical looks alone." I can actually show you a few indicating that women are likely to take other factors into consideration.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 08:25 PM
1

Most women don't have casual sex. #2 isn't looking for casual sex either. But I've been down this road with you before. You refuse to believe that the vast majority of women aren't looking for casual sex. I've never had a ONS and never will.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 08:08 PM
1

No, they are not. At least not all of them. I'll take guy #2 any day of the week. Looks smart.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 08:03 PM
2

We can all just keep telling you that, over and over and over. And you can just keep insisting that what you know about women is true. Sometimes there aren't citations-- and this is not because a claim isn't true. It's because the science simply hasn't been done. This is one of those situations.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 08:01 PM
3

Yes and no. If I meet a nice guy and he tells me he's been with 50 women, I'm going to be concerned, and it's not for any of the reasons you listed. If he's been with 50 and I've been with eight, that probably means we have dramatically different approaches to sexuality and intimacy. Sure, I've give him a chance to explain those numbers, but I wouldn't be thrilled with them for reasons of compatibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 07:42 PM
1

Shit. I did. My bad. :( over serious fail.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 05:04 AM
1

Uh, I'm a female ph.d in my 30s. It worked beautifully so far. But thanks, "kid."
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 04:43 AM
1

And you like man-whores for partners? Wow... I'm speechless.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 02:13 AM
3

That I'll disagree with, having dated only men that fall into that category. If I man told me he had slept with 15 partners at 28 when I had only slept with 6 at 28, he'd be out the door faster than his head could spin. What? Don't like being held to the same standards as you guys hold women? I want an extremely picky man. If he's willing to sleep with lower quality woman than me, what use is he?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 01:51 AM
1

Cool. That about works. I probably would have called 1-9 pretty reasonable at 28. I'm just curious what people MEAN when they say "low n count."
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 12:05 AM
6

I'm a woman, thanks. That policy applies to my male partners. Don't assume.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/17 12:03 AM
8

Yeah, exactly. When I see someone advocated for an N of 3, I immediately think, "oh, you're 22." Someone who has an N of 3 at 35 is almost an incel. And I say this as a woman who strongly prefers men who have had fewer partners because I don't have a promiscuous attitude towards sex and don't want my long-term partners to either.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/16 10:53 PM
1

Curious: How old are you? I've got a "years sexual active/2" policy.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/16 10:49 PM
1

That was my understanding of the situation. My point is putting on ten pounds isn't a great example of "gaining it all back" or "letting yourself go." She actually looks better with the added ten pounds. Most people would be ecstatic about this figure.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/16 09:31 PM
4

Can you find a link to that? The pictures I've seen of her "weight gain" looks like about ten pounds and she looks better with the extra ten pounds on her. "Letting yourself go" after kids isn't a ten pound shift. Then again, I haven't looked at her in a while. But the ones I saw of her "weight gain" looked better than 99% of women who have had three kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/16 05:04 PM
2

Amen. All the liberal, feminist guys I know fuck like bunnies and aren't shamed for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/16 06:33 AM
1

My point is that you are comparing apples and oranges. Very few women out there give a shit about dick size. Therefore, a male worrying about it is irrational. On the other hand, most of male attraction is based on beauty, so it's not really irrational for us to worry about that at all. It's logical. I don't have any irrational insecurities (in women, these would be something like worrying because you're a B-cup not a C-cup), so no, I can't empathize.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/16 08:22 PM
1

Men don't care about weight and attractiveness? That DOES go against... Every single thing I've ever experienced my whole life long. What do they care about now? Personality? Ha. This sub argues against that all the time. And don't say you want someone with a great body and natural beauty. Our weight and makeup is how we get there.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/16 05:11 PM
1

Like what?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/16 05:35 AM
2

Sure. I've been with guys that were too small, guys that had natural body odor I didn't like so much (even when clean), guys who were short but girthy, guys that were long and too skinny. My point is no one is making mate choices based on what your dick looks like. I don't spend a lot of time thinking about it. No guy has a perfect cock so its irrelevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 06:58 PM
1

Me too! I wasn't trying to be rude. I'd just never heard another woman say she enjoyed that feeling.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 06:54 PM
1

Really? Just curious. Are you a woman? The sensation of anything hitting the cervix makes many women ill. Just curious if you're a girl who actually likes that feeling.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 06:05 PM
1

Not really. I don't care about dick size, that's my point. Penis size isn't really important. He's great the way he is.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 06:00 PM
1

I love sex. We figure out ways to make us both cum that don't involve me being torn in half by a dick bigger than my forearm. That doesn't feel good. There are work arounds for tiny cocks; there are work arounds for giant cocks. Just curious-- are you being deliberately dense or did you really not know that not all women have porn-star vaginas that can handle a coke can?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 05:42 PM
3

And why would lying to strangers on Reddit be in my best interest? Lying to my partner to spare his feelings, sure. But what would be my motivation (and ALL these other women's motivation) for trying to make strangers feel better about their dicks?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 03:35 PM
3

Then why hang out on here? If you'll never believe anything women say, because they are all just liars making up shit, don't hang on a debate sub. It's pointless.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 03:33 PM
4

What a stupid question. For reasons other than his dick, obviously.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 03:31 PM
1

Ha. Okay, that was funny. :)
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 07:58 AM
5

Porn affects MEN. Yes, women watch it. I watch it. But at much lower levels then your average guy. My point is this: if you ask the average women, she will explain to you that dick size is, if a factor at all, a very small one. Somewhere around eye color or the specific type of car a man drives. I've seen it said by women over and over and over. Why won't men believe us? What would be our motivation for lying?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 07:57 AM
3

Many women don't cum from just penis in vagina sex. So, yeah, too long is a terrible thing. We are dry and tired and some guy is just pounding away on us, and not in the area that will actually lead to orgasm for many women. So, yeah, almost no woman wants steady vaginal penetration for over 20 minutes. Too long is as much of a bummer as too short.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 07:51 AM
1

Yes, exactly. It's not like it doesn't count at all. It sort of counts. But, in my experience, having that one girlfriend who insists on seven-inch cocks is like having a girlfriend who insists all her boyfriends drive BMWs. Yeah, I guess those people exist. But they aren't 95% of women out there and are pretty rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 07:47 AM
5

I just don't understand. I've seen this conversation thousands of time. Why, pray tell, are there all these men who, no matter how hard you try, can't be convinced that women don't really give a shit about how big your dick is as long as it's within two standard deviations of the mean (i.e. not under 3.5 inches or so)? All these men keep insisting it counts for SO much, and women tell them otherwise, but they argue. How did we get to this point? Why wont they take women's word for it?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 07:06 AM
9

If it happens once out of a thousands of encounters, and other men repeat it because men are far more obsessed with the size of dicks than women will ever be, does it really matter at all? I once heard a story of a man who left is his girl because her butt was too small. Does that mean that is something worth concerning myself with?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 06:54 AM
1

It's just under so many other things. It's like "great feet" for men or "nice hands." I guess maybe for some men it matters a little. But no one is making decisions based on it.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 06:50 AM
5

The current guy I'm dating is slightly larger around than a red bull can. The reactions he's had to this have been all over the board. He's literally had long-term girlfriends where he had very little vaginal sex because they were afraid. When I asked him about anal, he said "uh, yeah, I don't get to do that." He's 30. Bigger and thicker is not always better.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 06:47 AM
1

I'd actually love it if you explained this comment in a little more detail.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 06:45 AM
10

These are "stories" repeated by other men. It doesn't really happen. In all my years on the planet, I've never heard of a guy being rejected for a five-inch dick. How could we? It's mostly all we see. You start rejecting five-inch dicks, you are going to run out of lovers pretty fast. Or end up stuck with a guy with no job, personality, or intellect and a magical seven-inch penis.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/16 06:44 AM
1

Dick size only matters if you are abnormally small. Ask any woman you know. Female attraction isn't based on dick size unless a dude is literally too small to bring sexual pleasure. And yes, fixation on things like that is totally juvenile. Let me know what you think in 10 years.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/16 05:48 PM
1

No one can know anyone else's reality. But I judge men who are insecure about their dick size in the same way I judge women who are insecure about their breast size. Both are insecure people, which is a character flaw I don't want to be around. Furthermore, both are fixating on things that are childish and the opposite sex has said over and over doesn't matter that much (the guy with the biggest dick in my past was by far the lousiest lay). So, no. I can't know anyone else's reality. But we are …
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/16 05:12 PM
1

Pretty sad that men are that insecure. I've never given whether I am the hottest or the best in bed a single thought. That's because I'm secure in who I am.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/16 04:43 PM
3

Actually, I feel just the same way. I could not phrase how I feel about men with a high n-count more perfectly. I just take issue with men who hold women to standards that they don't hold themselves to.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/16 05:39 AM
6

Is that a legitimate fear to have about men who have many partners? If it's not, why should it be for women? To be fair, I won't sleep with men who have had more partners than I have, but that's because that's a very good sign that their sexual ethics are different than mine, and I don't want to partner with that long-term.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/16 03:57 AM
4

Right. And I'd like it explained succinctly for me here in one or two sentences instead of having to pour through endless threads of male insecurity.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/16 03:55 AM
2

I don't really understand WHY you all care so much. Presuming she is STD-free, the fact that men can so very much seems to be other crazy-sexist and so insecure.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/16 02:59 AM
2

Oh, he totally has the right to say it. We have the right to find it disgusting. This thread isn't about what men have the RIGHT to say. It's about feminine reactions to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/16 04:54 PM
1

These things are repeated on TRP all the time. They are slight exaggerations, but the essence is true.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/16 10:44 PM
3

In short, it was something I tried that didn't work out like I hoped it would. My primary partner struggled with jealousy. And I was unable to find loving, long-term secondary male partners that were totally okay with "sharing" me-- they said they were in the beginning, but as feelings grew, they weren't. It was a lot of work, and hurt feelings seemed to be multiplied. That said, I've had monogamous relationships that didn't work out either.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/16 12:46 AM
6

That's exactly what I came to say. I was poly for about seven years. I never told anyone who was not on an absolute need to know basis.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/16 10:45 PM
5

I've actually seen the exact opposite. The really hot girls in college had hot boyfriends that were devoted to them. Tier 2 women had to play the field a bit more to find what they wanted.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/16 03:25 PM
9

I teach college in a giant university in the midwest. They ALL (literally all) wear gym clothes and tennis shoes. I have never seen a student on campus in "booty shorts, high heels, crop tops." Not one.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/16 03:21 PM
3

What that woman was saying was that in very particular circumstances (when the guy was beyond belief hot), she might put up with no kindness and generosity, aka being treated like a piece of meat. She was not saying women like being treated like a piece of meat by most men, most of the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/16 01:17 AM
1

She's a Maaan-eeeeater...
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/16 02:02 AM
3

I'm afraid those same men shouldn't be upset when their wives completely let their physical appearance go and the sex stops. Both things are false advertising... a bait and switch.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/16 03:14 AM
2

Ah. I didn't get what your argument was. That's human nature-- to want to be around attractive people. That's different than saying all your male friends are your friends because they are secretly trying to bang you. Is my appearance part of my entire package? Sure. Then again, the few female friends I have wouldn't be my friends ether if I weren't relatively attractive. So that applies to both sexes. Nice looking women tend to hang with other nice looking women.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 10:50 PM
1

Bummer. My best friend of 8 years is a biologist. We messed around 8 years ago, had terrible sexual chemistry, called it off, and remain best friends to this day. He's had every opportunity to fuck my brains out. Men and women CAN be friends. It happens.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 09:59 PM
1

They've all had ample opportunity to fuck me (and some have long in the past). There are plenty of people out there who can deal with being close to someone they are mildly attracted to. There is a big difference between being friends with someone you think is sort of cute and enjoy hanging out with (most of my male friends) and being friends with a woman for the sole purpose of fucking her.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 09:55 PM
3

I seriously doubt there are mass conspiracies going on. But your blood type is part of your basic medical record. And on the rare occasions that a doctor does notice that there is something "off?" I know a fair number of doctors and not one would be willing to get involved with that mess. Not their job.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 03:00 PM
2

I'm not going to win the argument with you, because you are resistant to it, but porn has changed the sexual tastes of men in ways that prostitution, which was much harder to access, never could. They are many people who develop intense fetishes in their teens-- specifically because of things they saw in pornography. I'm not anti-pornography. I watch it all the time. But it's silly to argue that it doesn't change the sexual tastes and expectations of men profoundly.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 02:57 PM
1

So... you are saying you have no data to support that and making the excuse "but everybody does it!" Good job. Every study ever done on the sexual dynamics of dating has indicated that relatively few women (compared to men) enjoy casual sex. Here's a classic: http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1300/J056v02n01_04
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 02:53 PM
1

That's true. Good point. So perhaps the OP's original point is even more a comparison of apples to oranges though. What if the majority of people who meet on-line aren't even interested in a lasting relationship in the first place?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 02:47 PM
2

A child can have a blood type that could in no way have been produced by the parents. Two parents with type O can't make a type A child. It's not possible. So theoretically, a doctor could put two and two together that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 05:55 AM
1

You're comments in this thread make much more sense now. I'm an academic and hang out with mostly other male academics. My absolute best friends are men. And they treat me as a complete equal because they know I'm just as smart as they are (and my resume is just as long). But I also know some Army dudes. They don't treat me as "best friend" material in any way.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 05:52 AM
4

I feel like Purple Pill is making me feel that way. I didn't feel that way before.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 05:48 AM
1

As someone who has predominantly male friends, I disagree strongly.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 05:46 AM
2

When you went to a prostitute, you still had to put in some effort, some money, interact with a real human, and communicate what you want to that real human (sometimes feeling vulnerable in that asking, even if you are paying). Now you can watch a woman taking it in the ass with a baseball bat at the click of a button. Different thing entirely.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 05:44 AM
4

It's simple. We want everything it took to win us in the first place. Imagine a super beautiful woman who suddenly stopped looking after herself at all as soon as you started dating. How manipulated would you feel?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 05:41 AM
1

I actually have a few female friends who are super hot that I've advised my more relationship-seeking male friends to stay away from. Sleep with her if you like, but she will tear you up if you try to date her. The worst thing? Those girls are fine, if not great friends of mine. But I do see what they do in their dating life and would never let a male friend go into that blindly.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 05:38 AM
2

Yup. But that's exactly why the comparison is not valid. I'd be interested to see how many of second dates from folks that met on-line actually last. If you go for a second date, you have established they don't smell bad, their pictures aren't twelve years old... all the things you would have established IRL before even asking them out.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 05:34 AM
2

I'd bet money that different dating websites have different success rates. Something like OkCupid, that actually takes into consideration personality compatibility (if you actually use the percentages) likely has much higher success rates than Tinder.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 12:17 AM
2

I think you don't understand statistics. IRL, there is a vetting period. You meet at a party, talk for an hour, decide if you might go on that first date. You have already established attraction. On-line, you don't get to do that. So OF COURSE there are going to be lower success rates. A lot of bad first dates that amount to all the people you met casually in real life but decided not to ask out. It's basically comparing apples and oranges.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 12:12 AM
3

This only applies to men. The waves of messages for women could have the opposite effect.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/16 12:06 AM
1

You're in a public debate forum. That doesn't cut it. You don't get to state your opinions as facts and not be called out on it in a debate forum. So again... data for that stupid, unsubstantiated remark you just made?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/16 05:28 PM
1

Provide data or STFU.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/16 03:50 PM
3

Do you think women are so stupid that they can't tell the difference between a guy who occasionally jerks it to them (my guy friends occasionally jerk it to everything) and someone who has an unhealthy sexual obsession with them?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/16 10:14 AM
1

That's easy. I have mostly male friends and it's not hard to explain. Friendships with men are just plain easier. Once you get the sex question out of the way, all the emotional roller coaster of female friendships don't happen. I'll give you an example. My one female friend is super mad right now that I didn't WATCH her run a 5k this weekend. Feels unsupported. That scenario would NEVER happen with my guy friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/16 10:11 AM
3

Let's rephrase: "Why would a man cheat on his super hot wife with a woman who was less hot?" Also, a scenario that happens all the time. Yet we don't feel the need to come up with some big theory about why this happens. Either he was simply bored or he was missing something in him primary relationship. Same for the lady described above.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/16 11:01 PM
2

Acknowledging that "all" women aren't emotionally shallow isn't really equivocating...
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/16 10:57 PM
1

I do kipping pull ups (if you want to know why, I can explain why it's not as dumb and illogical as it looks on youtube). But I can also do about 20 regular ones without stopping. I don't do the rest of those things.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/16 10:09 PM
4

I'm not sure men should be allowed to answer this question. Just muddies the water and confuses things. That scale is interesting though. Probably a solid 8 on there. Get up, make coffee. Get dressed in under a half hour, go over lecture notes. Give two back-to-back lectures from 9 to 11 am. Answer emails and talk to students in office. Go to some health food place for lunch. Go home, work on research. Masturbate, nap. Go to Crossfit (don't judge). Teach Crossfit for another hour. Go home, drink…

If I walk through a very poor area of town, waiving around my diamond ring and designer bag and expensive cell phone, and I am robbed, does that mean the robbery didn't happen in a legal sense? On a personal level, because rape is awful and no one should experience that, I think we should do anything we can to help women avoid that, including advising them on how to make sensible choices. On a legal level, no matter what you are doing, crime is crime.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/16 01:01 AM
3

Those Red Pillers who are arguing that female choice didn't have a large role in human evolution very well might be right-- but their reasons are totally wrong. Rape likely didn't play an enormous role in human evolution (although it probably played a small one). Rapes certainly do happen when one group conquers another. But that's a small percentage of all offspring produced. Then why would female choice not play a major role? Precisely BECAUSE of historical male control over female sexuality. …
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/16 12:55 AM

Actually, that's not entirely true. While there has been some changes in the last 10,000 years, our mating preferences and sexual habits (and the evolution of them) predate that by a million years.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/16 12:43 AM

A couple of weeks ago, my ex, who is vying for the "worst human on the planet" award, got drunk, and had a somewhat over-blown reaction to the new guy I'm dating. He kept yelling "but he's a beta, and you're clearly an alpha female." I thought he was talking about dog-pack dynamics, and was very confused. Everything makes sense now. Thank you.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/16 08:25 PM
1

Sigh. Your last argument, right above, basically stated that my boyfriend was lying, as though you can't believe that many men simply don't want to go to see prostitutes for their own reasons. That's what I was referring to. I didn't misrepresent anything. You proceeded to resort to low-blows and assumptions about someone you know nothing about. I'm formally educated in how to form arguments-- what you did is not a proper debate. This was a discussion of ideas-- you don't get to call people name…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/16 02:23 PM
1

New around here. Can someone point me in a direction where these terms (alpha and beta men) are clearly defined? It would help me determine if I am attracted to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/16 02:43 AM
1

Okay, done here. Once you resort to those types of arguments (there can't possibly actually be men out there who don't go for prostitutes, could there?), there is no point even talking.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/16 10:38 PM
1

We've gotten off track. I'm not trying to argue with you that men don't, on average, have higher preferences for casual sex than women do. That's a fact. It's been supported by numerous studies. What I am arguing is that I would never date a man who had seen prostitutes, which is a different thing then casual sex. While most men might engage in casual sex from time to time, a significantly smaller number sees prostitutes. I asked my boyfriend about it last night, and here was his answer (he's fr…

Sigh. So I’m an anthropology professor for a living. I don’t need a lecture on the history of mating systems this afternoon. I gave that lecture last week in my introductory course. Human mating systems are actually incredibly varied across the globe. Shall I tell you about Tibetian marriages, where one woman marries a set of multiple brothers? Shall I tell you about “walking marriages” among the Na of southern China, where people only marry temporarily? Shall I tell you about partible paternity…

Thanks. It's a slippery slope, talking about practical strategies without venturing into "you were wearing slutty clothes so he raped you" territory. But I think it's a slippery slope we have to walk anyway. Because there is a lot at stake.

Did you not see the "I'm joking" in parentheses? Do all RPillers have such under-developed senses of humor and irony? :) One thing I don't do is make personal attacks.

One of the things I've noticed in conversations like this is that people have a hard time distinguishing between "should" and "is" realities. "Should" women have to say "no" over and over again to get the point across to pushy men? Of course not. One "no" should be enough. Do they have to in the real world? Should we talk to our daughters and sisters and girlfriends about how to say no loud and clear in sexual situations so that we are definitely heard and clearly understood by partners who migh…

I think I’m going to end this debate here, as I like to debate as long as I have a chance of learning something or a chance of teaching something. You’ve started to resort to ad hominin personal attacks on my level of understanding (when I’ve already admitted knowing next to nothing), and that’s the point when I’m usually out. Despite your quoting of yourself, others have put together giant compilations of the sexist things RPers have said. Given these (which are some of the few things I have re…

No, not at all. You said my male friends were fundamentally different than Incels and were just "normal guys." I was arguing that 1) the difference between someone who has had sex once and someone who never has is minimal, 2) I have empathy for someone I know who has had sex once and that I personally find sexually very unattractive, so 3) women can have empathy for people they find sexually unattractive.

While I do believe that men are enthusiastic about casual sex, I don't believe that most prefer it to meaningful sex. The men I know are the same as women in this. If given an option, they would rather have good-quality meaningful sex with someone they care about, just like women. So I don't think we are talking about 100% of the female population competing for 20% of the male. While 20% of the male population may not enjoy casual sex at all, a large percentage of the folks that said "yes" to th…

Those comments are by... you. That's terrific that you feel that way. But does it demonstrate the feelings of the sub in general? I'm in a research field-- any grad student would tell you citing your own work to prove a point is a no-no. Ironically, you were the person that taught me that RP folks think women are commodities. As I said, I don't read much over there, so have never heard anyone else use that terminology. I would never have said "RP people think of women as commodities" until I saw…

Actually, my mind is not made up. I started this conversation with the fact that I've only been over there once, but nothing you have said has convinced me that Red Pillers think of women as intellectual, political and social equals. Your insistence that words mean something they don't isn't helping. The definition of commodity is "a raw material or primary agricultural product that can be bought and sold, such as copper or coffee." You can try to redefine it if you want, you can say that's not …

You're just cherry picking words to avoid the real meat of what was my original arguement-- TRP folks dehumanize women. Don't like the slavery analogy? That's okay. It was just an analogy. I'm not all that attached to it. For me, it worked in the moment, but if you don't like it so much, I'm happy to retract it. So how about dealing with the actual point I was making about dehumanization instead of getting bent out of shape over the way I was illustrating it? Comparing a woman to a commodity or …

Like I said, loose analogy. You're reading way too far into my comment, dude. I'm focusing on the dehumanizing aspects of it-- I'm not arguing with this simple analogy that the Red Pillers think women need to work in the fields and be whipped, so please stop trying to re-frame it as such. When you compare women to commodities and TVs, that has certain repercussions. There is only one other time that has been done. And the analogy stops there. But that's far enough to give most reasonable men pau…

This was the first one I saw, and it's pretty clear: https://archive.is/Tip7V Women are not fully functional, adult individuals. In this, my metaphor still stands as well. Slave-owners frequently used to describe blacks as having the capacities of children as well.

You're missing the point. I've only browsed around there a little but they don't seem to think of women much as people at all-- just interchangeable holes. I'm not saying they want us all dead. But the dehumanizing aspect is certainly there.

I don't find it unreasonable in the slightest. There are only two times in my life when I have heard other human beings referred to as a "commodity." When people are talking about slavery and Red Pill folks. Seems like a reasonable comparison to me. If all you're trying to get across is an innate selfishness in human relations, then call it something else, not a "commodity," which implies ownership of inanimate objects, like a TV.

Did you not note the part where I said one hadn't had sex in ten years? I think he had sex once before that. Do you really think there is a giant attractiveness difference between a 30-year-old who had sex once ten years ago and some of these Incel dudes who have concluded they are totally unfuckable at nineteen? I seriously doubt it. And besides, we are talking about empathy and compassion here. Do you really think I could be compassionate to a person who has had sex once and no adult relations…

3.8% of men identify as gay. Still plenty of hetero men out there. Do you want a peer-reviewed study? I don't have one. All I have anecdotal evidence based on personal experience, just like you. And that you still want causal sex proves my point. We have already established that you are the type of person I'm trying to avoid mating with.

What I'm trying to articulate (perhaps not clearly) is that I empathize with men I find very sexually unattractive on a regular basis. I can't prove that; all I can do is give you my word, which you aren't going to take. You know what I call the men I empathize with but find sexually unappealing? Pretty much all my guy friends. If I found them sexually appealing, they wouldn't be my guy friends-- I'd be fucking them. And they all seem to find me pretty empathetic. Are they hideous? That's imposs…

I get your point, it's just an incredibly hard thing to disprove. It's your opinion. I guess I was just telling you I've been trying to help men who could look like the Elephant man for the last two days. They say they are hideous. I don't know. But I've been trying to help them and empathize with them nonetheless. But can I prove to you that I'm empathizing with them regardless of what they look like? Nope. You've just got my word.

I'm familiar with that experiment, so I get that. 25% of men still said no. And as you get older, that number increases, as most people start to realize sex without connection is pretty shitty. I guess the difference is that those men were having sex with a woman who was turned on by them, not a women who was thinking about what she would get paid or who had been forced into that life. It's a different psychology. And please don't think it has anything to do with prudery. If a man wants to have …

I'm starting to agree with you actually. I've been having a bunch of conversations on here with so-called "low-quality" men for the last couple of days. I actually agree with the point of the article though-- I have little empathy because I don't know them or what their lives are like. I am creating more empathy by reading /r/foreveralone and other such places. I'll put it to you this way-- I've always known racism was bad, from my parents, from reading in books. But racial issues didn't really …

Where are you getting that? Seems like you pulled that out of thin air, man. I'm actually the least close minded woman about sexual taboos I've ever met. Feel free to poke through my history if you like. I believe the meaning of sexuality is to imbue it with meaning-- I don't have sex with people that I'm not in love with because I don't want it to lose it's specialness for me personally, not because I was raised repressively (I was raised by other athiestists) or am some sort of prude. I also c…

Yes, but thinking of other human beings in the same way be thing of objects owned, like your car, your TV, your computer, is never healthy or ethically sound. Sure, you might not hate them. A lot of folks liked their slaves too. Still not exactly an emotionally solid system.

Am I prejudiced if I don't want to date men who beat their wives? Historically, upstanding men did that too, making that sort of a silly argument. I'm not saying people who sleep with prostitutes are abusive, but certainly there are things out there where is it acceptable to simply say "nope, not for me, probably not a match." My problem is I can think of SO many reasons a man would sleep with a prostitute. I could make a list. Some of them would make me empathize with him on a human level-- I m…

Being an atheist tells you something about a person though. I am one myself, so it certainly tells you something about my personal values and beliefs. Sleeping with prostitutes also tells you something about someone's values and beliefs when it comes to sexuality. It's not ignorance or prejudice to refuse to date someone who believes paying for sex and paying for a burger are the same thing, is willing to have sex with someone who is not turned on by them, and can emotionally disconnect from the…

There are many reasons men see prostitutes. None of them say good things about the man. One is that they are pathetic and can't get laid on their own. One other is serious emotional and mental issues. With Sheen, the latter likely applies. It's fine to not care what "some random woman thinks." My point was only this-- a man who pays for sex has two options. He can lie about it to every regular female partner he has for the rest of his life. Or he can be judged as pathetic by the vast majority of…

I like logical people, so I appreciate what you are doing here. But you can say "a guy going to a prostitute is no more pathetic than a guy going to buy a hamburger" as many times as you like, that's not going to make it "feel" true for any woman. Logically, it's sort of true. They are both financial transactions. But then you have the reality of the situation: most women will think you are pathetic if you have seen a prostitute. Whatever logic you tell yourself at night for comfort is your busi…
