| -1 | How do you deal with HPV?The clap (Gonorrhea) is a bacterial infection that can be be treated with antibiotics, Herpes is unfortunately a virus that can't be cured with antibiotics. There are medications (ex. acyclovir) that can reduce the number or severity of flare ups, but once you have herpes, you have it for life. It can be transmitted even when there are no flare ups or outwardly visible signs of the virus.
