If your state allows it, an arbitrator is a good option, provided it is a mostly-amicable divorce. Most of the formulas for support, custody, visitation and division of assets are well established. If it is not amicable, you really need a lawyer. Especially once the (false) allegations of spousal and/or child abuse start. Like it or not, you are in the fight of your life. Act accordingly.

That was done to get a reaction out of you and to make you jealous or upset. Ignore it. You are above these bs games. Your kids are important. Her cries for attention are not. Use your poker face. Do not take the bait.

Also, don’t expect anything like a retraction or apology if and when the allegation is disproven. There will also likely be no repercussions for the party that made the allegations.

I miss the days when a man could perform a good deed, and not post about it on social media. Some things were better left between you, your conscience, and your creator.
