I’m not saying it’s impossible to meet people, it just has been made harder, especially on a bunch of younger people who had no say over anything.

Maybe those years aren’t when most meet their significant others (you are probably right, I haven’t researched it enough), but it is definitely when most people I know picked up most of their skills in socializing, especially romantically. Other than at work, which isn’t always the safest or most appropriate place for those interactions, school is likely where we spent more time in groups and interacting with a wider variety of people.
