I wouldn’t tell your ex or your attorney. Your inheritance is just hearsay at this point. I guarantee if you tell your attorney it’s going to cost you a whole lot more. I would push to expedite the divorce to the earliest possible and let the attorneys know unnecessary continuances will be met with complaints to the courts and the bar. Delaying will cost you.

It’s your moral compass. Stay true to yourself.

Your lawyer has to ask for a deviation due to extended time with a parent. Washington State uses an antiquated “child support worksheet” that was developed when fathers only got every other weekend. Look on the Washington State Forms website for the WSCSS - Attachment For RSA (Residential Split Adjustment). I’m not sure of they will consider this for a temporary order. Check with your attorney.

If it’s true, most likely he’s saying it to her to make her feel better. Kids sense when we are having difficult times and will either try to fix/help or they withdrawal. This means you’re raising a good kid. He is empathetic. Congratulations!!!

Either she’s trying to rub it in (i doubt this but i don’t know her) or she’s trying to co-parent and say “Hey if the kids behaviors are off this might be why.” She’s probably not looking for your input or opinion. You made an assumption about the first guy. Focus on your kids during your time.

I didn’t read your whole post. When people make a choice that is difficult, whether it’s difficult because they don’t want that option or it will be difficult for others to understand why they choose that option, they have to find a reason to justify their decision. It’s not necessary but it helps them in the aftermath of the storm. This is human nature. It’s a form of self preservation.

Some VA loans are assumable as well, varies in the bank. If VA, you might lose some or all of your benefit amount until the original loan is paid or refinanced. Look into.

Take advise from people who are where you want to be. If that’s what you want… I suggest taking it slow like the others have said and also setting up a detailed prenup. If she’s cares about you she’ll understand the prenup is a boundary you must set to move forward.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
