As a dude I wish I could do this. Sucks on the wrong side of it!

I think you've created about 50 new RP candidates in this thread, you should quit while you're behind. This is really bad...

Yeah that escalated quickly and strangely...

Seems like it as someone that bartends on the side. Might be just servers though I don't know but these girls are usually single for about 10 minutes...

http://craigplaystead.com/what-no-one-tells-you-about-divorce/ Here's a counter article. We can do this all day. I can agree that it's probably a bit of myth that women do a lot better than men in divorce, but there is no doubt it still scares men away. How would you like to go bankrupt and miss 75% of your kid's lives? Happens all the time and it's scary as fuck.

Not for me. But I'm not looking to get married either... If you guys are looking for a RP/BP debate, you're asking the wrong dude.

Not that I really care to get into this debate, but that's a pretty poor source...
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/15 10:13 PM

Well can't speak for everyone, but I don't think simply being divorced affects a woman's smv that much. Kids and debt more so.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/15 09:36 PM
2

Women fearing divorce on the same level is highly debatable. Women usually make out better in court and are much more desirable on the dating market following a divorce. I don't care to get into it, but your premise is highly debatable.

It has been front and centre for me my whole life. Perhaps I am an exception but I doubt it.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/15 09:04 PM

Agree and I would add to that the threat of divorce for men as well. The image of living in a box while your ex-wife lives with her new boyfriend and your kids in your house is very real and very frightening. Hell, it keeps me from getting married. Kind of combines with your points though, people realize marriage is hard and without the pressures of religion, divorce is very common and can be a massacre for the dude. Better to just avoid it!

"Best interest of the child" = Keep the mother off social assistance. The more child support collected from the men, the less money the government has to shell out to help the mother and child.

My good friend is a stay at home dad and his wife makes $140K a year. They're very happy. But they also have very traditional roles everywhere but the workplace. She likes to cook and clean and raise the babies on her time off, he makes all the decisions. I think they are an exception though as she is a very accomodating and pleasing type of person. She's actually said the key to her marriage is "keep his stiomach full and his balls empty" and lives by it. Happiest couple I know and have been to…

Yeah I hear you I just don't think RP is nessicarily bigoted or sexist. I think there are some helpful themes for young men, which is why the concept is continually growing in support. I personally perscribe to the Bruce Lee school of thought, where you take what is useful and leave the rest. There are some helpful issues in the RP realm for men, if they can sift through the angst. However you want to slice it, it's growing and taking over any relevant subs. And it's not because everyone else is…

There are definitely some unhealthy attitudes towards women in there, the worst of the worst comments mind you, but I still didn't come away thinking that RPers condone rape and abuse from reading all of that... Have some serious issues with women? Sure. But calling it a "support group for rapists and abusers" is quite ridiculous and an personally I think it's pretty reckless to throw insults/labels like that around. I'm neither pill, but this comes off as sensationalist slander to a 3rd party o…

Do you really think those post where a person went "red pill" and became a dick and ruined everything are real though? Like you said, "I've never known a terper in real life." I find it really hard to beleive that someone in a normal relationship, in real life, decided to tell their significant other that they swallowed an imaginary pill they read about on the internet and that things were going to be different rah rah rah. I just don't believe those posts at all. I can't bring myself to beleive…

Changed the way I approach text messaging (much more important than you think), did not present any behaviour other than masculinity and control of my emotions, and realized that there were other options and didn't come on strong as I normally would with a girl I really liked. I let things develop and showed a casual interest at first. Nothing major. I wasn't terrible with ladies anyway (maybe too accomidating) and mostly red pill showed me the girls to avoid rather than how to pick up ones I ac…

I dated a girl that was EXACTLY how red pill describes women. Then I started to realize that most of the women I had been dating had acted kind of similar. Then I stumbled onto the red pill and it kind of put all of their behaviour into perspective. I wasn't scorned or hurt and I absolutely love women and am in a commited relationship, but the red pill gave me an understanding of where they are coming from. I'm 6-3 and a former college athlete with a good career, no neckbeard to be found. I do n…

I'm not RP, so not the guy to ask, but my assumption would be an "alpha" would not want a girl to peg him. Pretty sure that is "beta" behaviour...

I think RP is about getting the relationships you want and a more balance and fair outlook on them. I don't think it has much to do with putting things up your ass. But I'm no expert.

Not much you can do to stop her, but I'd be moving on with my life in another direction as soon as she walked out the door. I don't consider myself insecure, but this is a step too far for anyone to put up with. Even if he doesn't the relationship will never be the same and die a slow death. Might as well get it over with.

Guy I know is an amatuer country singer. Alpha and a moron. He literally has girls stalking his facebook to see where he is going to be at so he can sleep with them. Almost every single night he is using another girl for sex, food, booze/drugs. It is incredible to witness... He uses a lot of social media. I'm not exagerating either, this shit blew my mind at first.

Seems like feminism won in the West. I would say it's time to focus on other parts of the world where inequality for women is still a serious issue.

I made the mistake of mentioning that I knew a guy that is pretty well-known to both BP and RP, though I was pretty clear I didn't know anything about his philosophies, just happened to randomly know him. And I was flooded with messages from BP members calling me a mysoginyst, rapist and racist. I am none of those things and for the record, neither is the guy I mentioned knowing. I'm purple if anything so I found it quite disturbing.

The problem is it isn't paranoia for most men. It's reality. I've probably dated 5 women like this in my life, they all said they "don't get along with other girls," because they "don't like drama" or "just like men better." And in EVERY case it ended badly or the guy friends had a negative impact on the relationship. Every. Single. Time. To the point where I made a rule to not date women that uttered those phrases! The result is a great long-term relationship with a girl that has girlfriends. N…

I'm not any "pill" per se, but I think it's the cheater's fault and if it's not you, they'll find someone else. So if she is good looking, you bet I would.

If you're going to categorize an entire group of people based on a subreddit as a "hate group," don't do it with 'short-hand.' Seriously, it sounds ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/14 11:40 PM

It's actually posts like this that do harm than good for the Blue Pill cause. "Hate group"? Give me a break. That's just the kind of ridiculous sensationalism that rubs people the wrong way.

I hear ya. Like I alluded to though I think the difference is accessibility. Any guy is going to take a random blow job because it's pretty damn rare. Same with sex, you have to better yourself, you have to have money, etc etc in order to get laid as a man. As a woman you really just have to show up. Girls I worked with had races to see who could get a dick pic sent to them the fastest. We're talking within 10 minutes. Do you think it would work the other way? I believe the difference is accessi…

Not a redpiller, probably purple at this stage, but I can clarify I think. The horses are indeed the cocks. The idea is that young women today jump from man to man while they are young without much forsight, perhaps in search of an Alpha, and mostly because they can and it is easy to do. Easy to take advantage of the soft men of today. And then once they "hit the wall" they try to settle down with a Beta that will pay the bills, provide security. Honestly I have come accross a lot of girls like …

Guy I know has sex with a different girl almost every night of the week. He never works, has bad tattoos, uses them for food and shelter (and booze and drugs), yet they still flock to him. To me he's got a layer of grease and is a douche bag, but man does it work like crazy for him. I do alright, but this dude is off the charts and I never understood it. It really is like what we are conditioned to beleive women want is completley different than what they actually want. I don't even think I'm ex…

They already do it! Mentioned it in another thread, and I don't want to sound like an egotistical asshole, but women already catcall men, I'm a handsome, well-built guy and I get catcalled quite regularly. I was walking my dog yesterday and a few girls started yelling at me from a balcony. I just kept walking. I've been grabbed and fondled without warning or consent pretty often when I go out. I guess the difference is I never feel threatened. Well almost never... Friend of mine is ridiculously …

This is one part that bothers me... Without sounding too egotistical, I'm a handsome, well built man and I already do get catcalled by women pretty regularly. I've had women grab me in every where from Starbucks to the pub. Obviously the difference is they don't scare me or, theoretically, put me in danger, but there's no shortage of catcalls in my life and it's kind of annoying to hear a threat about women doing it too because they already do! I rather enjoy the confidence boost that comes with…

It's like you read the definition of depression in a text book and think you know something about it. We're done here. This is a lost cause.

With all due respect, you should quit while you're behind on this topic. "Healthy" people "don't see cruelty, negativity, struggle, randomness" in the world? This is a load of crap. Healthy people don't look forward to and/or get a boost from their morning coffee? That's even a bigger load of crap. Sure there is correlations between stimulants and depression, but not requirements. Depression is an illness that is completley seperate from your 'perception' of the world and your addictions. Why do…

No, I don't think a negative world view is condusive to depression. You can see the world in a negative or bitter light and not suffer from depression. You can embrace the cruelty and randomness of it and do the best you can in it and succeed, find meaning in the struggle. I personally don't call girls sluts and don't want to touch on any double standards. I just like the debate more than anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/14 11:47 PM

I don't think 'truth sucks' means you have to be depressed at all. It's a pretty common topic within the canon of existentialism. In fact some philosophers contend that controlling one's own destiny, or that there is no design or purpose, 'life is a bitch' if you will, leaves our own happiness and destiny completely in our own hands. And that can be positive, and does not have to lead to depression at all. Furthermore, judging by your definition of depression in this thread, I would tread carefu…
