False rape cases are common here. Our rape laws are extremely misandrist. By our definition of rape a man can never be raped nor a woman can ever rape anyone, its crazy. Also as far as rape statistics go India has lower rape per capita than even the USA and even after accounting for the unreported cases it doesn't even come close to where countries like Sweden is but due to our huge population the numbers get skewed and rape comes across as a common occurence (when it isn't).
