Old people are far more brain rotted by smartphones than young people. "Phones" are a convenient scapegoat to hide the real structural issues that have made young adults and teenagers more "locked down" and isolated in the past 20 years partly because Boomers hate seeing young people out being young

That stuff mostly died out after the Great Recession, not a recent trend. Even by the 2010s, the helicopter parenting panopticon was already in full swing. The difference is that dating apps were actually fun/useful from 2012 until about 2018 when monetization turned Tinder into a slot machine. "De urbanization" is also a factor in the US. Americans have increasingly moved to exurbs and/or sprawling metro areas where it's harder to socialize informally, and car insurance rates + "graduated licen…

ENM is the least problematic of the bunch ENM is absolutely vile and probably the worst of the bunch. There's a lot of manipulation in that space, and it's usually a one-sided arrangement in practice (more often the man is the one sleeping around as well, not the woman getting easy dick) The whole polyamory thing really highlights a broader issue with modern dating - people are afraid to just be single and date/sleep around. People aren't getting married, but they shack up together for 10+ years…

Extremely trad-pilled. Women in 1810 didn't pop out 10 kids in 10 years. They basically just kept having them until menopause.

People like "top AI researchers" do a lot more to push the Culture than you think, especially super online stuff. Remember that Caroline from FTX had a whole Tumblr. Smart people are often both crazy and bored, so they can get into some weird shit and spend all day on the computer.

It should match with your natural personality. You missed my point. Some men's natural personality is already too expressive. You're taking her on a little bit of a fun rollercoaster...it's playful. You are doing too much for a first date. Someone is still pretty much a stranger after 1, 2, 3 dates. It's different than texting someone you actually know. A lot of guys suffer from "halo effect" from dating where if you feel like you had a good time, you assume she did even if she was just being po…

Height matters way, way less than people on places like PPD try to make it seem. At least in "the West" short height is often correlated with certain ethnicities that are not portrayed as masculine/attractive (for men anyway) by the dominant society. Being obese or genetically ugly is far more of a hindrance. Remember the old phrase used to be HEIGHT, FACE, FRAME. That's 3 areas, and you probably didn't draw an unlucky combo in all 3.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 09:31 PM

It also doesn't even work as well anymore because "back home" is not as poor as it was 40 years ago when they left.

Balance is key here, especially with points 4 and 5. Being too expressive can be a big turn off, as can texting too excessively with emojis and shit. It all depends on your natural personality and flow + the type of women you normally date. Back in my OLD days, I know for a fact that I blew it several times for being too expressive in IRL conversations, and I would have died of embarrassment texting something like your example in point 5.

Why should people compromise? Relationships have massive financial and social effects whether they go well or go poorly. You only get one life. Women and men both deserve the best life possible vs. dragging themselves down to avoid the spinster/bachelor insult.

Making women eligible for the draft would actually hurt men more if a draft were to happen. Women are generally not allowed to serve in combat roles, which means they would fill up the "safe" roles away from the front lines.

If your profile isn't recognized as attractive pretty quickly Conventionally attractive as well. It becomes a problem if you have a certain "type", or if you just try to tailor your profile to stand out vs. appeal to a wider set of people.

The "judgement" in bar/nightlife is just different though. Your name, age, and exact height are blasted out before someone even speaks to you. Having fun and letting loose brings a different energy than whatever pics and witty bio you put on your dating app profile.

Huge portion of those are probably social media, not dating apps tbh. It's kind of like how 5-10 years ago, people would lie about meeting on an app because it was still seen as kind of weird. Now, "app" is sometimes the acceptable way of saying "they slid in the DMs"

That stuff basically only affects minors though, which is a very small portion of the dating pool. Teens socializing less in person means that they have stunted social skills and different "norms" once they become young adults. Do you not "grok" that what people experience in their formative years sticks with them in the future? Increased cars per household would counteract the effect of graduated licensing laws, and it's hard to know which would have a bigger effect on how much teenagers go out…

. I don't see how graduated licensing laws A big part of graduated licensing laws are "no passengers under 18" as well as a curfew as early as like 10pm. So why would teenagers bother getting a license if they can't drive with their friends places or stay out reasonably late? Not to mention getting added to parents' insurance is very expensive even when kids just have their permit, not even full license. Some people in my state are paying like $300/month for their kid just to practice driving wi…

BIPOC Twitter genuinely believes white people "stole" all of their cultural contributions and that even Isaac Newton is bullshit. Even with compatibility taken into account, in the past it was easier to find and integrate into social circles where people shared your lifestyle, interests, political views, values, etc. That's not really true though. In the past, there was simply far more social pressure to get married and have kids at relatively young age. "Compatibility" wasn't even a factor in many cases rather than "you are gonna be an old maid/bum, settle for someone quick". "Stranger danger" has always been the default …

People stopped socializing in person in large part due to legal and financial changes (the insurance industry is evil + law enforcement is greedy and overbearing). Video games and scrolling became popular because the 3rd spaces were already dying. People get the chicken-and-egg wrong here because it's easy to blame the Gosh Dang Phones instead of scrapping the harmful "safety" policies that have been enacted in the past 20-30 years.

It takes like 6-12 months of going to the gym 3-4 days a week and not eating like an asshole. If it takes you "lots of years and a tight diet" to achieve a fit body, you are fat as fuck, don't try, and/or have a serious binge eating problem.

But I do know multiple women who won’t even consider OLD for safety reasons These women just shouldn't be using dating apps at all then, period. OLD is not for everyone, but you don't maximize $$$$ so of course it gets pushed on people who shouldn't be there.

You're probably thinking of OkCupid, which was one of the first casualties of match group. The quizes on the old site were so fun. The safety features on the apps are already abused by "revenge reporting". A lot of younger people are incredibly confused on what is socially appropriate in different areas and situations of their lives. Younger people are actually more aware of what is socially appropriate. The ugly truth is that a lot of Boomer/Gen X and even older Milennial "dating" culture was incredibly toxic, full of SA, messy break-ups, etc. Zoomers have simply learned a lesson, which means fewer relationships overall. Scammers are constantly recreating profiles to avoid bans and cast a wide net. Some of them even use the same profile spoofed to a dozen cities. Plenty of YouTube videos of these guys being caught in the act. Though they do it with fake male profiles to trap women as well. Apps have been dead for a couple years now, Tinder probably 5 years at this point. Even Raya opened the doors to the masses. What's amazing is that people still try to use them or act like they work.

You think that someone smart with a good job who doesn't do drugs, doesn't smoke, only drinks occasionally, doesn't gamble and is smart with money has a high chance of being abusive or a cheater? There are many men like this, actually. A lot of these "Type A, high achiever" guys can be quite nasty behind closed doors. And there's lots of guys who smoke cigarettes, like a drink, or are kind of "dopey" but end up being good men.

They want a partner they are attracted to, with a job that can pay for his lifestyle, and someone that does his part in the relationship and domestic duties Men today are far, far, more likely to be able to provide that than men 50 or 100 years ago, though. The vast majority of women in say the 50s or 60s married a man who at best could do 2 out of 3 of those things, usually 0 or 1.

The only women in the history of ever who have been homemakers have been upper middle class and royalty. Royalty and the upper middle class weren't homemakers lmfao. They had a team of servants. In the Victorian era, even middle-middle class women often had at least 1 or 2 servants to help out around the house (as do people in third world countries today). Most people in blue states/liberal areas have zero problems with gender roles as well tbh. Conservatives online vastly play up the "feminazi" stereotype stuff. Well, the gym and coffee shops are not places to "meet women". Festivals and "going out" depend a lot on the type of place, how big your group is/solo, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/25 03:50 PM

Well yeah, obviously. Concerts are a very easy environment. A lot of "thuggish" looking people are suspicious at venues that have a history of problems. Some of them are, some aren't. Some places profile everyone. I'm a small guy, clean cut, and I've been asked to have my Zyn pouch inspected (looking for harder drugs) at some places. Bouncers aren't police. And honestly, if someone shows up with effort and looks clean cut, they're aren't gonna worry too much.

People who post things like this usually have very low N-counts tbh. They are inexperienced due to various hangups and/or they are unattractive and have had mostly shitty partners. The stereotypical "high-N party girl" probably views most of her hookups with a blur. The real "alpha widow" thing comes from some guy she casually, off and on. Not just a "wham bam thank you ma'am".

Refusing to take the blame for anything, or being unusually sensitive about small insults/teases are big tells. You can probably brush off a couple things (maybe they have had some rough times or have complex about something small you didn't know), but if it's a pattern, you'll notice it fairly soon.

Police enforce the law. A lot of people who break the law, or at least are involved and swept up in crimes due to bad friends, are kind, gentle souls (or at least to people they care about/view as innocent). A lot of people who are violent, abusive assholes don't break the law, or at least do it in ways that are hard to track until they snap/get lazy. Basically, Police are gonna profile people differently because they have different facts vs. someone who has spent social time with someone.

At least at a strip club, it's a real person putting on act to make a connection with the guy. On OnlyFans, most of the models (100% of the popular, viral ones) outsource their chat to some guy in the Phillippines or India. Many of them don't even have access to the account. They just take pictures/videos and send them to their "manager" who handles all the rest.

Women are far more likely to be "consensus driven" than men. It's a binary, but it's a trend that reflects a lot of things. Women in "edgy" spaces (outside of far left-wing politics, but even then...that's because of "Eggs") always have their pick of men simply because there's fewer women there. Women in more "consensus" or at least "communal" spaces typically have to compete for men because there's fewer men.

Dating apps are a place to be extremely selective otherwise you’re overwhelmed. Most conversations go nowhere on apps though. So if you're too selective, you aren't overwhelmed, but a lot of disappointment. Better way is to be "normal" picky until you have like 5 matches, see if any of them can actually hold and conversation, and then go back to swiping if/when they fizzle.

Growing up with parents who love each other more than they love the child is also damaging to children in a different way.

Parents who focus on their own relationship over their kids end up being neglectful of their kids' needs. It's a balance.

height is not an issue for men as it is for women. that is a huge difference. women dont deal with baldness to the same extent as men Women have other issues like fat distribution, hormonal problems, etc 95% of women can go from average to "hot" on this program. No, they can't.

Young men in the US have not become more right-wing than they were 20 or 30 years ago. Young women have become much more left-wing though.

The Democrats had a handsome, young male influencer on their side. Then they cancelled him because for "manipulation" because he was talking to multiple women at the same time. Pretty much sums up the left's struggles with young men. Even before that, the attacks on "Bernie Bros" (despite the fact that IME, most of the diehard Bernie supporters were young women), was very telling.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 12:56 AM

I think those are more common than substance abuse as a coping mechanism tbh. Even most drinkers don't necessarily turn to the bottle when they are depressed.

You can get into better shape. You can work on your skincare like women do. You can get a better haircut and style. Hell, you can hop on fin if your hairloss is still early stages. If you're really obsessed, you can get a TRT prescription to improve gym gains (or just find a steroid souce) Women have the same genetic factor as men. Everyone has a ceiling, but working on yourself is how you get there.

You will have cultural differences Good. I don't want my children raised in American culture. They would be poisoned with American citizenship at birth (worldwide income tax + bank reporting) but ideally we could solve that before they became adults. You should speak her native language too Not hard if you move abroad.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 04:23 AM

No because I'd marry a woman from Russia, China, Türkiye (and many others, just examples that are clearly outside of "The West"). I just bring it up because I've recently seen "passport" type guys try to claim countries that are very obviously "Western", like Colombia, as outside of "The West". It seems like more and more slop content creators define "The West" as "settler colonies that speak English". Like would these guys consider Quebec or Jamaica not "The West"? Utter lunacy.

that are financial traders or entrepreneurs are degenerates like sex workers I mean yes. "Degenerate gambler" is an old, old phrase, and there is a heavy overlap between traders and gamblers. Crypto traders proudly call themselves "degens". "Entrepreneurs" aren't much better. They often have an irrational self confidence even when the odds aren't really in their favor. Do you feel that way about women who are entrepreneurs? Yes. I think all entrepreneurs are scammers and degens. Because they are…

I said it gets exponentially harder for every inch below 5"8", not that it's a hard barrier. 5'8" is basically average. 5'7" is a lot harder. 5'6" is a lot harder than 5'7". 5'5" is extremely difficult. 5'4" and below, not gonna make it unless you passport + you are "hard" and really get down like a local in lower-tier Latin America/Asia. Shorter men get called napoleon's if they have a napoleon complex. Again, research Halo and Devil complex. Shorter men get called "Napoleon complex" for things…

Do these K-Pop girlies not realize that South Korea has one of the biggest gender divides on the planet, with Korean men being notoriously sexist and misogynists relative to other "developed" nations? Like the "4B" movement started there for a reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:53 AM

They're just riffing. Why would he reject a tall queen with a sense of humor? A little bit of teasing from a woman is a better sign than being boring. It goes compliment > light tease >>> joke/question about your profile >> hardcore tease >>>>>>>>>>>>> generic "hey"

Most of them assume it's not gonna come up + have no options that will care. It's "fast money", no different than guys who are "entrepreneurs" or "traders" for years with no plan other than "get the bag". It's empowering in the sense that they have a niche that they can exploit, and plenty of men can respect that. I wouldn't necessarily avoid a sex worker for dating (though they often have other red flags that are not unique to sex work, just more common in that subgroup)
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:44 AM

What is "Western"? Latin America is part of "The West" by any reasonable definition, as are many of the countries that passport bros used to go 10+ years ago like Poland, Czechia, Croatia, Hungary, etc since they are Western Christian (historically) + part of the EU. And even if you only restrict it to the US, Canada, and Western Europe, by definition like 50% of the women in those countries aren't native English speakers.

Yes, but also FACE and FRAME. Tbh for most guys, if you excel at least 1/3, and you're "decent" (not super deficient) in the other 2, you'll do fine. It's guys who are average or below average at all 3, or very below average in 1+ category (i.e. 5'6" or shorter plus ugly, or 5'10" with an average face and weak frame) who really struggle.

Why? Going to prostitues is extremely trad + lindy. They call it the "oldest profession" for a reason (even if that's not strictly true). Some women just don't wanna be kept, and some guys would rather spend money to be with a more attractive woman for a night vs. what they could get with "commitment". There's nothing wrong with wine, women, song, and games of chance.

The "meta" shifts on these things. For a while, speed dating was seen as lame and mostly a sausage fest. Now that dating apps are less popular/seen as cringe, some groups of women have started to organize events in bigger cities. There's quite a few posts on Reddit like "why did no men come to my speed dating event" because men haven't got the "vibe switch" info. The other aspect is that women have no issue making new gal pals at a "dating" event, whereas the guys there are focused on dating, no…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/25 03:03 PM

And these issues impact everyone, not just young men. A lot of women are basically being "brain rotted" because they are stuck in some isolated, car dependent area. It's not even "organized" activities. Even stuff like walking around your neighborhood and having small interactions with others makes a huge difference vs. being at home all the time like you are in confinement.

They don't though, pound for pound. "Height, Face, Frame" is the golden law. And in the US/Canada/Northern Europe, HEIGHT is the most important factor. If you're like 5'8"/173cm, other factors might matter, but if you are like under 170cm/5'7", it's kinda over.

Back in the day before the internet if a man wanted to express interest in a woman he had to do it in person. Politics does not matter. There's far more other factors here based on personal preference since liberal vs conservative has a big demographic component in the US. The women I personally like (white, college educated, on the "alternative" side) tend to skew liberal or left-wing, but some of them have various weird beliefs.

In reality, "old money" rich men tend to marry within their group/class and tend to be very stingy with their money, often frowning upon overspending on luxury brands and constant vacations that aren't business/job related. It's wild to me that these tropes are still talked about (both Entourage and Sex and the City) in places like this when they are literally 20+ years old at this point. Like I am an old fogey at 30, and I was in grade school when these shows premiered, the cast are basically my parents/aunts/uncles age. "Vanderpump Rules" (Jaxx is the prototypical 'alpha' male) and the 90 Day Fiance series should be discussed way more than this Xer bullshit.

80% of men should be sent to a labor camp far away from society, with the expectation that many of them won't return. So us high IQ Chads will have our pick of the women. It's that simple. I hate men, send them away so that I can charm women.

The problem is white knights who will ruin a man's life because a woman is mentally ill and reacts negatively to a man who talks to her. Put more women in jail for antisocial behavior. Ban problematic women from clubs and lock them up. If we simply crack down on mentally ill women (and throw them in jail, for. looong time and permanently ban them from bars/clubs/apps), solves a lot of problems.

when a man does something inappropriate or creepy, how do you suggest we phrase our boundaries or redirection without it coming off as a full rejection? You should be as rude and nasty as possible. The thing men complain about isn't women being hostile when they say something creepy. It's the women who freak out when men say something normal.

Zuck is also kinda ugly/average at best as well as coming across as pretty awkward/spe*gy in public (people joked that he was a robot/alien years ago). Priscilla is his match/a bit above his league. Guys don't understand that money isn't like a super cheat code that makes hot women automatically adore you if you have enough. The average 9/10 model would vastly prefer a charismatic, average-to-handsome guy who "only" has like $10 million (and there's plenty of them to go around) vs a billionaire …

My theory is that wealthy men who are in the more image-focused industries (like Hollywood or music) are more likely to prioritize looks over everything else in a partner. People in Hollywood and music are also often good looking themselves, at least when they are young (with the exception of the "producers" like Weinstein). And more importantly, they are surrounded by an industry that is superficial about looks. Guys in "nerdy" industries are more likely to be superficial about "intelligence".

Zuck and his wife are looks matched tbh, and they seem to have a great marriage. Getting rich doesn't automatically mean that you go for a supermodel, it just means you get to pick.

Men are shamed much less for being single and playing the field/having multiple partners, I mean it’s a running joke that men have a 2nd family on the other side of town. Women will never be allowed that grace. You know how many females out here got kids by 2,3,4 BDs?

because they are not set back as much as women are when they have a baby. Child support is financially ruinous to men. And women can be sure that the child is there's. Men cannot unless the woman allows a paternity test, and many will strong arm men into getting put on child support even without a test, and the biased family court will support them.

This is not always the case. Some women will be absolutely brutal even if a guy just says "hey, how are you doing". Anything from literally going limp/numb like he's not even a person to actually causing a scene like he tried to grope her. It's Schroedinger's crazy girl. Most women don't act like this, but men have no way of knowing which women are nuts like that.

In the US, general rule is that any group of girls larger than about 3 means that they do not want attention from men. Even if some/most of them are single and open to a guy, general vibe is that it's "girls night" and they don't want their friends running off with a "random" guy. I'm saying enjoy life for yourself and you won't be such a mothball who never gets dates. That is not how it works for men!! Women don't want to talk to men like men want to talk to women, unless you go to the right spots and learn the right rules. "Bar with live music" and "small concert" are almost one and the same by this point Not necessarily. People who complain that they can't find a job are usually limiting themselves to a particular field and/or income. Well yeah, anyone can get a part time job in retail in a week, but that doesn't pay the bills. My husband and I don't mix our finances. I'm not even sure how much he makes. Why the fuck are you married then? This is insane to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/24 02:40 AM
7

Then why even get married at all? The point of marriage is to combine finances. You should have enough saved as a couple anyway that the mortgage and bills can be paid even if one partner gets laid off from their job. Job lay offs are just a fact of life, so really having a mortgage that you can't afford on one spouse's income is just irresponsible in general.. Having separate accounts is insane unless there's some sort of family business/trust fund involved.

Right wing men being overrepresented in "fitness culture" does not mean that every single man who goes to the gym is right wing. Plenty of liberal and left wing men lift weights. Journalists are their own strange class of people, they aren't even representative of the typical liberal young woman. Also, you misread those articles. The point of them is that neo-Nazi groups are using fitness culture as a Trojan horse to attract young men.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 09:06 PM

In large blue cities like NYC, women assume that a man who calls himself a "centrist" is a conservative who is lying.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 09:03 PM

When you say conservative men are more masculine, did you mean to say they’re old and obese? Young men and old men are the exact same amount of "Conservative". There no significant age gap in politics anymore in the US, except among young women who are far more left wing than their mothers and grandmothers.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 09:02 PM

NYC has a high ratio of single young women to single young men. That's why there's "lonely women" in NYC. It has nothing to do with politics or the men being "soy boys". When women in big, blue cities complain about the "lack of masculine men", they don't mean they're all limp-wrested skinny fat weirdos. They mean that they aren't "chivalrous" in the sense of paying for dates, seeking commitment, walking on the street side of the sidewalk, etc. Also a lot of these women have strange triggers aro…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 09:01 PM

They mean conservative gender roles, not politics. This really shouldn't be surprising. IME, the most outspoken "feminist", "leftist" women are also the biggest girly-girls, into stereotypical feminine things, fetishize being "frail uwu smol beans", submissive, etc. They mean they want a guy who holds the door, isn't poly, takes initiative in the relationship, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 08:55 PM

Basically she wants a man with a BAPian (Bronze Age Pervert, an extreme rightwing nietzchian movement, for those not terminally online) fascist aesthetic with liberal values. I think you need to log off for a bit. Lifting weights is not a "fascist aesthetic" in the eyes of anyone sane.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 08:51 PM

That's a delusion that "strong sturdy blue collar" men have. Getting your physique through gym/training for sport (which is really a simulation of war) is far more masculine than toiling in a field.

Dating in the US is hard for a variety of reasons. Basically any foreign country outside of US/Canada (besides like India or backwaters in the Middle East that don't have expats) seems "easy" for men due to the fact that you can live in a major city for far cheaper than you can in North America.

It's an even smaller handful of young men who have those things (and growing smaller). It's not growing smaller. Working out and fitness is far more popular with young guys than it is with crusty 50 year olds. Just because fewer young men go to college doesn't mean that there's not a significant number of them who did and make good money (25 year old men are more likely to have a degree than 50 year old men anyway). The number of rich, fit, young guys is increasing compared to 20 or 30 years ago…

My point was that the % of young men who can be described by Guy A is even smaller. No, it's not. You vastly underestimate how many young men are absolutely killing it, and overestimate how many old men are in good shape. It's like 10-15% of the young guys vs less than 5% of the 50 year olds. This is "bope" as the Bloods would say by aging Gen Xers.

Too much attention and investment is a turn off for women though. They like to be given breadcrumbs. That's basically a lot of what the "red pill" was about. Heartiste has a "3 to 2" rule - you only give back about 2/3 of the attention/affection/interest that a woman gives to you.

If you want a woman who's anywhere near a healthy BMI and you aren't a cuckold, odds are very slim if you're shorter than 5'8" in the US unless you're under 25 and find a unicorn with rock bottom self-esteem.

It's not the same dating a 20 secretary with little responsabilities that dating a 40 yo with a manager position that has to travel to other cities once a week. The 40 year old manager has more time to have fun because she wants to "let her hair down". She'll invite you to go on trips with her if she likes you. The 20 year old is stressed with college as well as her job as well as the general craziness of young people. Again, like I said, part of this is selection bias. The women who are really,…

Old men are simps, that's how they were raised. I'm a 30 year old Boomer, so not quite that generation. There's a difference between "buying a drink for girl you've never talked to" like the Old Heads do and "offering to buy a round after you've chatted for 20 minutes" though.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/24 12:50 AM

They don't do it to women either
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 06:48 PM

It's a mix of: Old men have more money so buying a drink doesn't phase them as much. $15 means a lot less if you make $150k a year and have $1 mil net worth vs being a broke 23 year old Old men, if they're older than like 40 especially, came from a time when spending money on women was more "the norm", and there wasn't so much hand wringing about "being a simp"
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 06:40 PM

I disagree with the "more fun" part. I think fun and seriousness is largely a personality trait that doesn't change much with age. At 21, most people are still single, so the dating pool consists of both the serious and the not so serious types. By 28, 29, the "serious" types are mostly gone while the "have fun" types make up a larger portion. The idea that women "suddenly turn 30 and start chasing responsible guys/demand commitment" just doesn't happen like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 06:38 PM
10

Depends on how young. Most guys are better looking at 25 vs 21. 32 vs 25, not so much, best case is they hold onto their looks/get in even better shape.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 06:35 PM

Exactly. Older women who are still single are probably easier to manipulate if anything because the women with decent heads on their shoulders aren't single when they are 35

Using OLD how difficult is it to send messages to 10 women in a day or two days How many guys do you think get 10 matches every 2 days? If you don't pay for the app, you only get like 10-20 right swipes a day, so that's a 25-50% match rate. Even if you do pay, the odds that you get 5 likes a day from women you actually want to date is pretty low after your first 1-2 weeks on the app (might never happen if you live in a more sparsely populated area or you have a dealbreaker like height or r*ce)
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 12:43 PM
5

If you don't live in a major city, it's totally possible. I think there's about 1000 total single, childless, age appropriate, decent looking women within a 20-25 mile radius of me (and I don't mean 19-21 BMI). And it's not like you're gonna run into them all.

Men are also more likely to die from murder, suicide, drug overdoses, and car accidents. Those tend to happen at a younger age, so they have a big impact on the life expectancy gap as well. In the US, 95% of male 20 year olds make it to age 40 vs 97.5% of female 20 year olds. That's a large chunk of the life expectancy gap, and 20/30 somethings are not dying of a heart attack.

It's not made for women. Women are smarter on average than men, but men have a much higher variance in intelligence. So there's a lot more boys than girls in special Ed classes, and more boys than girls in highly advanced classes, academic competition winners, etc. even though the average girl slightly outperforms the average boy. That's why gender segregation makes no sense because it doesn't account for outliers.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/24 06:40 PM

That hurts high performing boys who are ready for school at age 6.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/24 06:37 PM

The solution is for the problem boys to leave school after 8th grade to go work in the mines, logging camps, join the merchant marine, etc to get a SKILL and contribute. Learning requires sitting still and paying attention. The upper 20-30% of boys who can handle it and dominate the class should stay, the rest should go be rowdy with "the lads" somewhere dangerous and away from society.

Women find an equal number of men attractive as men do women IMO. The difference is that a lot more men have unfixable traits like being too short or going bald at a young age. There's no real "unfixable" traits for women.

I’m not going to have time to read every single one of these studies in detail but I have a theory: the stigma around PVI orgasms comes from dating economics. IMO the stigma is related to the fact that dick size and shape matters a lot for PIV orgasms, and men can't control their size or shape.

These are the things in my experience that I typically think of when I think about how dating is hard for the average woman. Abuse, violence, sexual assault, the threats of all these possibilities from prior experiences involving them These are not "average" experiences. You can make friends at concerts and house parties. One of my best friends I met smoking outside of a small concert I went to by myself. I've literally gone to many shows by myself, just wanting to see whoever was playing, and I ended up meeting hookups, going to random after parties, meeting new friends, building connections. It's a social environment. If you can hang, and it's something you enjoy anyway, there's probably people there who want to build some kind of connection.

Women don't understand how stacked the dating apps are for men. Their experience is that they download the app, they get hundreds of matches and have to pick through the fuckbois and weirdos. They don't understand that their guy friends, who they know are perfectly normal and maybe even kinda cute, barely get matches. And if they do get matches, they deal with a lot of flakes, weird women, etc. There's a lot of "social bias" that comes in here. I've experienced this myself. Girls I was FWB were …

Yes, most of the men who abuse women are not the stereoypical "Chad" type, but women in generally need to do a better job of vetting the men they interact with. Especially bars and clubs I've met multiple women I ended up dating at a bar/concert. Also, it's easier to meet people in these environments if you go with 1 or 2 friends (not a huge group). Or if you go to a place often, you just naturally run into people and you're sort of "in the scene". Being a familiar face and/or having people with you amplifies the social environment, makes other people more comfortable to talk to you.

Also women objectively don’t do that to men, men do it to themselves because they can’t get over it. Some women do. This is how I know you're new to this. It seems now that the term "friend zone" now means when someone nefariously keeps you around for their own benefit? This is always what it meant. It got twisted in definition by people who claim that men are "entitled to sex for doing nice things" and "can't handle a gentle rejection". Friend zone means "boyfriend treatment without being a boyfriend" if that makes sense. It doesn't just mean "we are platonic"

Many women find younger men appealing. They are less likely to be out of shape, bald, wrinkly, their dicks still work, etc.

Yeah I disagree with the people in the comments saying that she "never liked him" or that he "never had a chance". He simply waited too long to escalate the relationship, so she assumed he wanted to just be friends. If they were going out to social events and doing couple things, there's certainly a point where he could have went for a kiss or flirted heavily and made things happen.

They straight up teach these things in sales and marketing workshops and seminars to help young salespeople pitch to someone who is more receptive for a warm approach over just massive cold calls/emails/pitch to everyone. And yet these guys seem to ignore it all or are told to ignore it all by their manager because they just harass everyone anyway.

If they’re not impressed by a coffee date then why do they have to go on one? You are missing the point. They are not impressed by it. They do not want a high pressure, high obligation date like a fancy dinner for the first meeting. 3rd or 4th date? Sure, that's normal. But people don't want to be "locked in" to a fancy dinner for someone they barely know. Asking a normal woman, not a hooker, to go to Nobu on the first date makes you look like a douche. It's casual drinks at a nice bar. Gives yo…

You are a prostitute. Normal hot women do not think like that. They want a casual drink with the option to do more.

Yes they are lol I work in the nightlife industry, and know a lot of bottle girls So you are completley out of touch with reality. I'm talking about women who are lawyers, art students, PhD scientists, who live in a normal NE city, not fucking Las Vegas. They get approached by wealthy men all the time asking them to nobu, Delilah, Carbone etc. so why would they be impressed with a low effort date? Because they aren't prostitutes who want to fuck rich old men?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/24 01:18 AM

You live in Vegas and you are a prostitute, so I guess it makes sense. IME, the hotest women I've matched with/dated have been total down with something lowkey. Drinks at a nice place, maybe some apps. "Going out to dinner at a fancy restaurant" is like girlfriend stuff.

Not my experience. The hot girls don't care because they are confident that they can get a boyfriend whenever they want one. They don't want to waste their time on a whole dinner date for a first meeting because the guy might be weird. It's the "mid" women who are more cautious because they are paranoid about being "ditched" and are looking for total commitment early since they aren't confident that they can get it on demand.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/24 01:08 AM

You can't take people on Reddit seriously. Especially on a "dating" subreddit which by definition is full of people who are either bitter and jaded, or inexperienced. Many people want something "low effort" for a first date like ice cream or coffee because it's casual and low stakes. Some people don't. It's just the nature of the game.

People generally don't change political affliations as they age, that much. What happens is that a lot of people who are more likely to be liberal in the first place - poor, black/brown, marginalized - are just less likely to survive to age 50 or 60. People who are "left leaning" or "centrist" when they're young might have a lower tolerance for extreme left-wing policies once they get older and have some money, but it's largely due to the fact that poor people just die younger.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/24 12:50 AM
2

Gen X was never particularly "liberal", and political affliation is usually pretty fixed once you hit 25/30.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/24 12:49 AM

Women are more liberal than their moms. But men are more conservative than their fathers. Not totally true. Gen Z men are roughly the same politically as Milennial or Boomer men. Gen X men are the most conservative demographic, so many Zoomer men are actually less conservative than their fathers. Gen Z women are way, way, way more left wing than older women. Definitely more left wing than their mothers, as Gen X women are the most conservative generation of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/24 12:43 AM
2

Nationwide, Gen Xers are actually more conservative than Boomers. I'd imagine it's the same in Texas, maybe even moreso because a lot of Boomers in Texas were raised there whereas a lot of middle-aged people moved to Texas from other states specfically looking for a "conservative place".

Liberalism has won every battle since the French Revolution. Liberal, egalitarian values defeated the kings and empires of old. It is the natural path of the Faustian man, a world without limits. Also, every <<hochkultur>> rises into a Civilization, and then decays as it loses its vital spirit. This is simply the natural order, just like a human being has a virile adolesence that turns into a stagnant adulthood and then eventually senility and death. Capitalism has been the dominant mode of economic production in the US and western Europe for 200 years. Why did capitalist countries have high birth rates and family formation in 1910 but not today? When Marx wrote Capital, the TFR was close to 5 children per woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/24 11:00 PM

AES countries like China, Vietnam, and Cuba also have a sub-replacement fertility rate. Cuba's fertility rate is lower than the US. China is lower than Japan. Also, the US and all the other capitalist countries had stable birth rates before the 1960s.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/24 10:58 PM

Why is this a bad thing? People having kids in their early 20s means a lot of emotionally immature parents who pass on various forms of trauma. Having a lot of kids before you are emotionally ready to handle children frequently results in various forms of abuse. Also, people live longer now, and are healthier for longer as a result. A 70 year old person in 2024 is similar in "aging" to an 63-65 year old in 1990.

There's basically 2 kinds of "mommy issues". Type 1 is when mother's have bad emotional boundaries with their children and create "son husbands" or "daughter friends". These mothers are in a role-reversal situation where their children are expected to provide the emotional support that a peer or even parent would. They expect their son or daughter to act like a husband, father, friend, sister, etc, and lash out when a child can't provide the support an adult connection would. Type 2 is when moth…

I think a general rule is that "Daddy issues" make people have an anxious attachment style (very clingy, sensitive, desperate for attention) whereas "Mommy issues" tend to produce a more avoidant attachment style (distant, aloof, trust issues, pull away when people get close, desperate to prove their achievement).

Women's crimes as bad mothers are far more common than men's. The men mentioned as "bad dads" like Homer Simpson or Peter Griffin are mostly just dumb and loud. There's countless examples of bad mothers in media who either act incredibly cruel and distant towards their children, or are overly affectionate and have very poor boundaries with them, often treating sons like a quasi-husband or daughters like a gal pal

Applying for a job has a low success rate, but you still do it because you want a job to have income to live. Rejection isn't a big deal. There is an extra risk in dating because many women are psycho and will cause a scene, or even put you online and try to embarrass you. But tbh, people online are sick of that shaming. As long as you are not doing anything wrong (i.e. not drunk, not sulking, accepting a no, not groping), people will be fine with you.

Your odds of winning a bet on Black in Roulette are 48.6%. But it's not at all unusual to lose 10 in a row or win 10 in a row. Also, just because 75% of women want to be approached doesn't mean that they all have the same kind of guy that they want to approach them. And you don't know the context of where they were approached, or their mood at the time (or where they were in their cycle.....), etc.

Absolutely not. My parents have terrible taste.

I think Zoomers may be understating as well, just much less so.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 05:25 PM

What kinds of structural changes would make women more willingly to be with men? There are none. A significant number of women, probably 20-30%, possibly close to 50, don't really have any desire to be with a man outside of maybe an exciting hookup or a sperm donor. The only way you fix things is to make men more scarce so the numbers add up.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 05:00 PM

Either way, the goal is to reduce the number of men. In the past, we had wars, slavery, adventures where men would either not come back or basically be "away" for their whole reproductive lives, etc. I think mass abortion is a more humane solution
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 04:58 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 04:54 PM

This is correct. Or use all these extra Y chromosomes for hard labor. Lots of boys are "too rowdy" for school. Put them on a ship or a lumber camp like we used to. Give them the hands on education they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 04:53 PM

The problem is that men are then shamed for trying to give/receive valid advice that will make more women chose them. The Tate's and the Fresh n Fit's of the world are just raging clowns, but the original purpose of the "manosphere" was to give men real advice beyond "just take a shower and 🐝 urself"
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 04:52 PM

No woman is considering a man who is 50 miles away unless she lives in the middle of nowhere. In a big city, living like 5 or 6 miles away is almost a "long distance relationship".

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 04:18 PM

Actually it's more than that. Over 25% of Gen Z women identify as lesbian or bisexual, and most bisexual women aren't really interested in men. https://news.gallup.com/poll/611864/lgbtq-identification.aspx It's an under discussed topic, but the fact is that young men arent only competing with each other for a smaller number of women, they're competing with other women as well. This explains a lot of the "relationship gap" IMO, more so than women "sharing Chad"

Even the fringe voices refuse to talk about the real issue. It's purely a numbers game. There's more young men than young women, young women are far more likely to be lesbians (something like 15% of Zoomer women are lesbian or bi, and bi women usually refuse to date men, only occasionally hookup), and young women are fatter than young men. There's simply not enough supply to match demand.

"Gymcel" is not a term invented by black pillers. You can go to TikTok or X (the everything app) and find all kinds of women talking about how gym guys are unattractive, vain, girly, etc. That doesn't mean that men should just avoid the gym. Lifting is really good for you and helps your mood. But men should not expect that going to the gym will make them more attractive to women (for that you really just need to not be fat)

"Expanding my social circle" is the only one I've tried. It worked fairly quickly, but success is up and down. I got new hookups/interest from girls fairly quickly, but actually getting a relationship always takes time. You're not gonna click with everyone you meet. It just gives you more "shots on goal" with better odds than swiping on an app. Important to note that "expanding my social circle" largely came via going out to bars or live events in a "scene" that I was interested. And I also smok…

Modern humans are the most self-centered, apathetic, and anti-social generation in human history Humans used to commit genocide casually. Constant war between neighboring tribes was the norm for most of human history. Modern humans are actually the most pro-social generation ever. If you told someone in 1920 that people in developing countries have rights and deserve compassion, they'd think you had a screw loose.

My mental image of a 47 year old really isn't all that appealing in terms of how far ahead of me and how much more mature they would be. When I met her (I was 27, she was 39), I thought she was about the same age as me, maybe like 5 years older, and she was way less mature than I was lol.

30 is not that old, or "the wall" in any way. 35, 40, yeah, that starts to be a bit "old" even if the woman is still pretty good looking.

Wrong. In the past, we understood that low value men had no purpose in society other than doing dangerous work, far away. More men should be sent to the coal mines, timber fields, military service, with the expectation that some of them will stay there forever. Statistically there isn't someone out there for everyone. Men age 20-39 outnumber women, roughly 104 men for every 100 women. Add in the fact that women are more likely to be gay or bisexual than men, and there's simply not enough women for every man to find someone (and that's not even getting into the fact that women are fatter than men!)

No idea. I usually avoid talking about myself as much as possible. TBH, I think this is a "selection bias" attitude. A lot of guys don't understand that women want to do 70, 80% of the talking.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/24 01:36 PM

And women who want a relationship don't want to be treated the same way a man treats his grandmother or a random man. I do believe that women orgasm more easily with attractive men regardless of effort. I also think there's a "devil's horns" effect with the orgasm gap. Memories are not always accurate. I think many women say they had a bad sexual experience because of what happened after sex, not during.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/24 11:00 PM

The orgasm gap is a case of false memory. A man can rock your world, then if he pisses you off later on, suddenly "he was terrible in bed". It's the equivalent of men calling women ugly after they get rejected.

The lack of 3rd places also has to do with car-centric development. My grandparents grew up in a dense city with plenty of streetcars and bus lines. There's 2 sides to the equation. It's not just about male competition, it's also about female competition. In a room full of ugly people, an average person is a 10/10. In a room full of supermodels, an average woman is like a 2/10. Stuff like height doesn't matter as much as guys like to claim. Dating in W Europe is still easier simply because there's more options, same with Latin America. There's also some cultural factors at play of course.

Yes, that's women pushing back against the 19-21 BMI thing by asking "are you 19-21 BMI" don't know what they are talking about. A man with a healthy amount of muscle will have a fat-free mass index of like 21 minimum. So even if he's a lean 12% bodyfat, that puts his BMI at 24. Whereas for women, a FFMI of 21 is pretty elite. Most women with a BMI of 24/25, unless they are serious strength trainers, will be pushing 30+% BF which is starting to be too high.

Storing fat in the abdominal region is a male trait. Women do have higher body fat than men, but it's a difference of like 7%, nothing crazy, and it tends to store more in the legs, arms, chest. Abdominal fat is the bad kind, on men and women. That's why "waist to height" or "waist to hip" ratio is often used as a health marker. Big waist is not good.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/24 03:52 PM

Unless you lift weights, 19-21 BMI is "healthy" for women. If you squat 2 plates, it's different.

You are very privileged if you live in NYC. Many of us are not shooting fish in a barrel like you are. Travel out to an "average" American city and see how bad it is. Then travel out to Small Town USA....

Most ({REDACTED by mods}) women with a healthy (19-21 BMI) weight are attractive though.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/24 04:41 AM

A healthy (19-21 BMI) woman is the only unrealistic part of his "bar" because 90% of women in the US are unhealthy. There's plenty of "trad", psycho holy roller women in the US like he wants. They are all just chubby (23-25 BMI) or most common swamp beasts (25+ BMI).
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/24 04:37 AM

OP is vastly exaggerating the bar. It's literally just being healthy (19-21 BMI). That's how bad it is in the US.

The bar is just being healthy (19-21 BMI). That's how bad it is. Healthy (19-21 BMI) women are so rare that there's really no other standard.

I think a lot of people don't have perfect recall of sexual situations. How they felt in the moment is different from how they might feel months or years later if they feel slighted by that person for unrelated reasons.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/24 04:15 AM

Data is not possible in situations like this. People aren't answering honestly about sexual encounters to researchers.

Having sex with someone casually doesn't mean that you're being "used". Even if it's a one-time thing. Sex is fun, and plenty of men do actually care about making sure their partner is having a good time even in a casual situation. People enjoy flings. Same advice I tell men who are virgins "late": just don't bring it up. If you're vibing with someone, they're just gonna assume you've done it before. It's more about finding someone who makes you feel comfortable and just letting things happen. I…

I would agree. If a woman is a virgin past her early 20s, I would assume she has a very low libido or baggage from religious upbringing or mental issues. It also means that she's more likely to have unrealistic ideas about sex and relationships and expect to wait super long to have sex. I only date white and Asian women, so I don't think race is a factor.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/24 02:30 AM

I agree that male mental health issues aren't taken seriously. There are far too many addicts, abusers, and crazy men who only get locked up when they get caught doing a crime. And even then, there's an army of women with excess empathy who get swindled by these men and spend hundreds of hours trying to get them back into society to hurt more people. "Loneliness" is a fake issue. Any man who is not alone by choice, has blown so many chances that it's a non issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/24 08:55 PM

You don't have a point. The feminists were correct. Men's "loneliness" is fake. Men who are alone choose to be out of preference or their own actions that alienate them from others. The media largely invented this because there's panic over men who choose to be alone not being subject to social programming via shaming tactics. Then the discourse got ate up by men who are mentally ill, abusive, or just plain bad people to whine about how they are "so alone", even though they've used up all their …

Asexuality is often caused by other comorbid disorders. It is definitely "off" even if it doesn't meat the definition since it doesn't by itself impair a functioning life. The species as a whole is not a greater concern than people you know. I am not an egalitarian, at all. Attempts to improve "humanity as a whole" often resort on too few resources being given to those who can most effectively use them to achieve higher ends.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/24 08:04 PM

Women participate in a lot of lolcow discourse. It is just gossip at the end of the day, of course a lot of women are gonna get into that. The New Zealand Ranch is like 50% women easily, they have whole boards for beauty influencers and shit

If you live in a big city and actively go out or have a social circle, you're meeting women anywhere from 21/22 up to early 40s. People don't know your exact age IRL, you're just in the same spaces, especially if you take care of yourself. 28 is not too old for women in their early 20s who are post-college if you meet them IRL (or even on apps tbh, lots of 22/23 year old women will date a 28 year old guy). Not if you live in a decent size city and you have some sort of interest that puts you in mixed gender social situations. A fact that a lot of people here won't admit or don't understand is that suburbs and small towns are not places for young adults who aren't either from, or religious or married and can form social bonds that way. It doesn't take 6-12 months to build up a social circle. You can have a solid set of acquaintances in like 2 months if you're trying and not in a really anti-social area. And you don't even really need good friends to benefit from "social proof". Nah it's because a lot of passport bros have a very skewed idea of what "foreign" women are like. They clearly haven't met any men from a past generation who had a "mail order bride". When I worked a retail job when I was younger, I had a supervisor who was married to a Filipina woman he met online. 27-30ish really is the sweet spot for a lot of guys. Established enough in life to probably have your own place, or only 1 roommate, and able to spend money on dating.Young enough to date early 20s without having to be super rich/high status, acceptable or ideal to women your own age plus a little old, still considered a "hot young thing" for women in their 40s.

It's a professional art that they practice and refine. It's not the same thing as riffing in a conversation
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 08:16 PM

Standup is not the same as conversation A person was either funny or they weren’t. How funny you find something is colored by how much you like them. A stronger reaction is approval seeking behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 08:14 PM

Yes, he is fairly good looking. And a professional stand up routine is different from giving with someone 1-on-1 or in a group. How attractive you are is a huge factor in how funny/charismatic you come across. The same level of humor with a woman who thinks you're hot is very different from one who is not into you.
