Totally. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. In fact, on the internet, I would say it definitely is.

But thats also true for some of the anonymous posters giving "personal stories" on TRP too. I would agree with you here - I'm sure there many fake "field reports" here. I just find it cringe worthy when people see videos like this and then spend hours discussing how he "pinned her down" and got her to tell her true feelings. It's staged bullshit and besides the time spent discussing the video, they wasted 90min of their lives watching Molyneux act badly. He's playing on peoples needs to prove th…

What is your last paragraph supposed to mean? So because he makes money from his content it's probably staged? Not that alone - but when you come across a video like this that: Reads like a redpill cockhold fantasy story that's too good to be true; The "callers" sound uncertain of things and pause whenever they have to ask or answer anything; The "interviewer" has a catchy answer for everything that reeks of rhetoric; Then I put this all together and also consider the fact that they earn money f…

I feel like I'm going to be downvoted into oblivion here but am I the only one who gets the sense that Stefan Molyneux is a bullshitter of epic proportions? Sorry guys - I think the people on the other end of that call are at best sourced by Molyneux or at worst the whole thing is staged. He's a quick and convincing talker who makes my bullshit flag go crazy every time I see one of his videos like this. Don't ever forget that people like him make a lot of money from videos and web traffic. If co…

I disagree with some of this. I think that women are, haven been and always will be attracted to muscular/fit men. Being muscular and physically strong is a sign of superior resource gathering skills and health and women have evolved to see that as a sign of a good mate. Look at any art from the biblical era or statues from the Babylonian cultures. Successful men were always portrayed as muscular. Arnold simply "commercialized" and spread it because Hollywood existed during his time and he becam…

first of all, men are not raped more than women. Did you even read that summary properly? I am assuming you are comparing the "1 in 71" stat for men and the "20%" stat for women? What you don't highlight is that these are different years (2000 vs 2011) and that the studies have vastly different requirements to be counted as a "rape". It says that "1 in 21 men had been made to penetrate someone else, usually an intimate partner or acquaintance." and that "nearly 20% of all women in the United Sta…

Lets see what this woman (and court system) considered to be unfair: She paid $175,000 for a house worth $1.2m with $600,000 equity in it. The house contained a rental unit which provided approximately $2,000/month. He paid her $2,235/month in child support and she received $2,500 from the government for assistance for her children. That's approximately $6735 a month without even working, and she keeps the estate home on a lake. This is all before she decides to sue him for more spousal support …

Thanks for doing this AMA! 1) To what extent do you agree or disagree with your wife's summary of the problems and corrections that your marriage went through? Do you feel that your wife changed on her own or do you feel like you played a part? 2) Since most partners find it difficult to take a step back and consider that they may be the problem (as your wife did), what advice would you give specifically to men in marriages who feel controlled, belittled or not respected by their wives? 3) What …

I agree with what /u/ColdIceZero said below about women with certain characteristics being more likely to populate a particular setting, but I would add that this applies to 'online dating' as well. The type of girls you meet on tinder will likely (and are in my limited experience are) be very different from girls on a paid site like eharmony or jdate. Tinder attracts girls for the same reason it attracts you: they can play the numbers game and get an easy hookup. If you are more interested in a…

I can't speak with as much confidence about the US but I'm almost certain that ownership makes no difference to the validity of the actual common law relationship - it would only make a difference to the assets that the other spouse could claim as support. It's about cohabitation (read: conjugal relationship), not about the ownership of the property. It's the state giving women a guarantee of financial claim if they choose to spread their legs.

Yep. It's a little better in the US as most states still require you to actually declare the common law relationship. But, for example, if you live in Ontario: In Ontario you are considered to be a “spouse” once you marry. If you and your partner are living common law, then you will be considered a spouse for spousal support purposes if you and your partner have cohabited for three years;

Zero benifits over LTRs Be careful with LTR's - almost every state or province (assuming you live in the US or Canada) have common law relationships which you will automatically be assumed to be in after cohabiting for a number of years. Some places it's just one year. You will automatically have all the legal obligations that you would if you were married without signing a thing. Check your laws. EDIT: I stand corrected for the US. It's only a few States. In Canada, however...

You are wasting your time. It's like trying to get religious people to think about things rationally. You can often tell during an argument that these people know they are living a lie, but almost nobody will admit that they have wasted much of their life.

To borrow from one of my favorite comedians (George Carlin) who used it in another context: Why is it that girls who go on about rape are so hideous that even a serial rapist would not think about raping them in the first place?

Logged in just to upvote this. I'm so over hearing about how male behavior in general should change if they want to have successful relationships. WTF? Why do women automatically assume their desires are so important that their partner should always be walking on eggshells to ensure they are making the cut? Take it or leave it cupcake. You aren't important enough to change for - no matter what mommy and daddy have told you your whole life.

No need to be so harsh, I'm happy to acknowledge a mistake.

Do you live together? In almost all States/Provinces (assuming you live in the US or Canada) you will be considered common law after living together for a certain period, even without acknowledging or accepting this. Your joint property rights will be exactly the same as they would if you were married in community of property. EDIT: Sorry - seems like this is somewhat incorrect. Leaving it up to just remind people in this situation to double check.

Cannot upvote this enough. I haven't been lurking on RP for too long, but in the last few months it has definitely taken a different turn. Instead of focusing on self improvement we are complaining about women. This needs to end. Accept that the world is the way it is - change what you can and work to move yourself up in the world by dealing with it instead of complaining about it.

Yeah I was actually agreeing with you/adding to your post, even though my post seemed argumentative when I read it back now - sorry. Was just basically adding that people (including people here at RP) would laugh at Cruise on this show because of the content of his argument if he was not a famous actor. But because he is a famous actor, the title of the post is "Alpha male Tom Cruise dominates Matt Lauer on his own show". What I'm basically saying is that his fame is almost certainly more import…

Cruise is "alpha" and has women lining up because of his money and fame from his acting career. If he was not a famous actor before becoming a self-proclaimed expert, he would be a conspiracy theorist nobody. You can only fake confidence up to a certain point. If you talk nonsense with confidence (like Cruise does) then you need to have fame and fortune as well otherwise you will get nailed.

(or at least fully believes he does) This is the important bit. I agree with you about his confidence but Cruise has no idea what he is talking about here (I'm a Physician and while I'm very often the last to prescribe psychostimulants, they do they their place). He has almost certainly read a few articles on websites with an obvious agenda written by people who also have no idea what they are talking about. He has confidence, that's it. The problem with this is that you will one day bump into s…

Your hypothesis is weak because it doesnt explain why the concept of sluttiness varies across different cultures so greatly It doesn't vary. Almost every culture views slutty women as negative. What varies is that Western Cultures are more "forgiving" (for lack of a better word) of what society views as a negative trait. Therefore, it's the same act that is frowned upon but the bar is just set lower or higher in certain cultures. Furthermore, I dont see how your arguments don't equally apply to …

I see your point about the first case, but I think it makes his conviction for this case even more likely. If it's a "he said she said" case and the guy has been accused of rape before, it's definitely going to sway a judges decision. They will be thinking "what are the chances of this guy being falsely accused twice".

I came here to say this. How is it normal that we have to record our interactions permanently? What other area of interaction/social meetings do we have to record the entire thing so that we do not get thrown in jail and/or have our lives ruined? Imagine how many guys are falsely accused and have no evidence to fight the assumption of guilt.

I've been a lurker on RP for quite some time and I often feel this way when I notice people talking about jobs, salaries or wages. Am I the only one who sees a problem with the idea that something like a $13-$14 wage makes someone feel "happily employed"? That's $26k-$28k a year for full time work with only 2 weeks off. Even in some of the cheapest cities in the country, how is this enough to sustain yourself, have a little fun and put something into savings so you can buy a house some day? We c…
