| 1 | Gender Equality supporter right here.I don’t know what you’re finding when you google it but it’s wrong bud. One search for the definition of based and you can find relation to crack culture. | /r/MensRights | 14/12/21 04:09 PM |
| 1 | Gender Equality supporter right here. That’s not where it comes from, that’s what it was turned into. First it started as a way to call someone a crack addict, then in 2009 it sorta transitioned into “being confident” then the alt right got ahold of the term and it means what it means now. However most of the time someone calls someone based it isn’t facts and logic it’s just a strong opinion | /r/MensRights | 14/12/21 03:11 PM |
| 1 | Gender Equality supporter right here.It’s a good thing. Being based means you’re being yourself | /r/MensRights | 14/12/21 02:52 PM |
| 1 | Gender Equality supporter right here.It comes from old slang for crackheads. They didn’t care what anyone thought, you “freebase” crack, hence them being “based.” Now it’s evolved into meaning “I don’t give a shit about what you think about me politically.” | /r/MensRights | 14/12/21 02:51 PM |
