I think she has a point, she lost her Primary income stream, was left alone to raise a child in poverty, and was the victim of having her husband unjustly taken from her. She sued for lost wages and child support, we don’t know about the child support because the case is sealed, but she didn’t get the lost wages because what he was paid wasn’t lost wages. She should have sued the court, but that likely wouldn’t have a different result.

I like your take. Being the child of a single mother there’s sacrifices that need to be made and you have to stick up for yourself. I agree that suing the husband was the wrong thing to do, and I get where the court of public opinion (and especially their family) likely pressured her to divorce. I agree with you. I only said behind because it's similar to where we were back then. But yeah, I think gender norms are beneficial to society honestly. Nordic countries have some of the most egalitarian outcomes (where people get to choose what they want) and they have some of the most strongly defined gender roles/norms

National Public Radio is, to my knowledge, the best American source for non-partisan news. But it's radio and they cover such a wide variety of subjects, it's sometimes difficult to hear what you want to learn about without actively searching it out on their website. I think most people see themselves as fairly close to the middle and news media on both sides really only highlights the extremes of the other side which really causes this divisiveness that we see.
