As a straight man, I support all of your affirmations and can personally identify with all of them. I wish the world was better bro. I wish people really understood personal liberty and respect for diversity. It would be such a great world.

Yeah, I don’t agree. People with huge egos need others to constantly reflect value, greatness, superiority on them. What your talking about is covert egos but still big, still requiring specific behaviors and attitudes from others. The theory of ego is pretty established in history and psychology at this point.

Don’t you mean huge egos? Small egos or no egos are usually thought of as the antithesis of narcissism. Folks go to therapy for years, take effective doses of psychedelics, and attend self help seminars, buy books, etc in order to gain empathy, perspective and ego REDUCTION. I’ve never heard of the scourge of small egos.

This is also at the crux of the scientific value of phenomenology and subjectively-exclusive sources of knowledge imo. If enough quantifiable knowledge is (thought to have been) generated to garner a changing of political and cultural ideas, the possibility of leveraging this tide change to undergird very unscientific models of data collection, analysis and conclusions becomes ripe. This phenomenon totally happened against men by 2nd and 3rd wave feminism in the social sciences and humanities. I…

The bias exists because of the physical strength of men throughout history to largely take advantage of women sexually. How it still survives in this day and age, with our laws and consequences is such a gray area since human dignity is supposedly universal but not for men. Another example of how innocent people are held in contempt based on some historical legacy. It’s an attitude that gets so engrained in language and identities that it’s almost beyond the scope of remedy beyond blatant shamin…

Most of the time I feel more of an artist than a male/man. When people talk and complain about lack of diversity and inclusion, I’m mostly thinking: yeah, where are all my unique, artistic homies at? Our voices are constantly suppressed by dominant, buzz word, tribal, blockheaded, constrained people afflicted by collectively understood evils in predictable ways, triggered by the same few issues, polarized by corporate news, etc…. Us artists must endure the conventional in many cases to just surv…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
